Abstract

The long history of Malayan-Indonesia language often can’t be separated from many political interest of state. moreover, after juridical legitimated in UUD 1945 as State Language, Indonesian language act as state language, national language, union language, official language, interrelation language in every side of people. Therefore, Indonesian language become un-separated part of Indonesian nation’s life. Meanwhile, because Indonesian language rooted from Malayan language, an effort to unite similarity with language in ASEAN (south East Asia) region, as Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam language, isn’t a meaningless task. In fact, to prevent misunderstanding between nations, this effort is a necessary.

Abstract

Students usually tend to view statistics subject negatively. These students’ attitudes toward statistics and their implications for statistics instruction have long been a commonly shared interest among statistics educators. It causes educators modify their teaching according to suggestions from the research literature, and to use assessment to determine if their teaching is effective and if students are developing statistical under­standing and competence. Besides that, positive thinking should be built when learning process is running. Nowadays, statistics has recently applied in education, technology, politics, business, etc.

Abstract

existentialism is a school of modern philosophy that contains several very different branches, and has different influence. Commonly, philosophy discusses about God, macrocosms and microcosms, therefore existentialism centre its discussion about microcosms. In existentialism, there two school of thought, namely atheistic and theistic. From existentialism teaching, we cam understand that what individual and society produced are a step to enhancement. Therefore, there are sectors on human life that finished, from individual or society perspective. This has relevance with developing country like Indonesia that has been implement reformation at every side, include education.

Abstract

Shalawat is welfare pray and honor greeting to Nabi Muhammad SAW. For traditionalist Muslim, shalawatan or activity to recite shalawat can’t be separated with their paradigm about iman. Shalawatan tradition amongst this community also has purpose to transform noble akhlak (character) of Nabi Muhammad SAW to their daily activity, both in ibadah (ritual) or muamalah (worldly activity).

Abstract

: Indonesia have acquainted with multiculturalism from a long time ago, explicit from Kitab Sutasoma by Empu Tantular. From this book, Indonesia adopts jargon Bhineka Tunggal Ika to provide a place for diversity that very complex. However, this complex diversity if didn’t managed carefully will trigger division through primordial conflict. This article will suggest importance of education that endorse multiculturalism as understanding to diversity—that actually have one direction. This article is important if we look at recent times where do many ethnic conflicts like at Poso, Kupang, Sampit, Sambas, and several regions. If its let prolonged, those conflict can deprave solidarity spirit of Indonesian nation.

Abstract

Madrasah term in Indonesia nowadays known as religious education institute. Some people sometimes mistaken when understanding the meaning of madrasah because didn’t understand about chronological development of madrasah itself. Therefore, emerge dichotomy between madrasah (religious education) with secular education. Some people presume that learning at madrasah only to master other-world (akhirat) science, whereas learning at secular education mean to master worldly matter. This dichotomy if let prolonged will trigger conflict. Actually there’s long history that make madrasah still exist until now as education institution. From this argument, this article will describe history of madrasah in Indonesia and its development.

Abstract

Ide-ide untuk mengembangkan sekolah kadangkala hanya berumur pendek. Gagasan yang menarik bisa jadi hanya bagus di angan-angan. Oleh karena itu, muncul wacana sebuah ‘learning organization.’ Learning organization adalah sekelompok orang yang menempuh tujuan bersama, dengan komitmen kolektif untuk secara teratur menimbang nilai tujuan-tujuan tadi, mengubahnya jika perlu, dan terus-menerus mengembangkan cara yang lebih efektif dan efisien untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah untuk menjadi learning organization adalah masih sempitnya pergaulan guru, kurangnya waktu, dan kompleksitas pengajaran. Namun dengan problem-solving (pemecahan masalah) secara sistematis, kolaboratif, dan terus-menerus mengem­bangkan dan menerapkan ide-ide baru, sekolah bisa memajukan dan mentransformasikan dirinya.
