Abstract

The purpose of this reasearch to get an overview about: (1) the supporting factors of an implementation online examination using LMS Moodle, (2) the impeding factors of an implementation online examination using LMS Moodle, (3) online examination quality using LMS Moodle, (4) the advantage of online examination using LMS Moodle. This research was conducted on the Mechanical Engineering Education FKIP UNS Surakarta. This was an evaluation research. It used CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, and Product). Population of the research was an affordables, thats ware 58 participants of online examination fourth test competenc pneumatic hidraulic lecturing of fourth semester academic year 2012. Data collection techniques with questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The validity that used in this research was a content validity. The data analysis technique that used in this research through analysis average that assessed based on evaluation criteria. The results of research show: (1) the supporting factors of implementation online examination using LMS Moodle, are: (a) the aspect of context; the ability of participants in Moodle application uses is quite high, the means that had on students to operate moodle applications is quite held, graphics / display moodle application is quite interesting, moodle application content in an online eaxamination is quite complete. (b) the input aspect; the efforts that done by participants to improve the ability to use moodle application is quite held, the efforts of participants in providing a means that used to operate moodle aplication adequately, the efforts of participants to improve their use of moodle aplication adequately. (c) the aspect of the process; using means moodle application in the implementation online examination adequtly, the useful moodle application content in the online examination process is quite easy. (d) the aspects of the product; quality assessment is quite high, and the benefits of assessment is high. (2) the impading factors of an online examination using LMS Moodle is the time implementation and time duration online examination. (3) the quality of online examination is quite high. (4) the benefits online examination include; the accuracy assessment is a high, the efficiency of the assessment is a high, the effectiveness of the appraisal is a high, the practicality of workmanship is a high, a high assesment accessibility, the question secrecy is high, high security response, high security assessment result.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: (1) To know microstructure oxy- acetylene welded joints in aluminium cast wheel.,(2) To know hardness aluminium cast wheel before and after oxy-acetylene welding.,(3) To know the impact strength in aluminium cast wheel before and after oxy-acetylene welding From  the research, we can conclude that the chemical composition on aluminium cast wheel including alloy Aluminium Silicon, because the element Si alloy is the largest, ie 7.38% Si. Microstructure on base metal  granules the spread equally on the surface of Al. Specimen hardness value raw material higher than oxy-acetylene welding specimens. The average value of raw material hardness results 57.58 BHN while the average value of oxy-acetylene welding results 54.80 BHN. Average hardness oxy-acetylene welding specimens in the HAZ area 38.69 BHN. The average value of raw material impact results 0,12 J/mm² while the average value of oxy-acetylene welding results 0,085 J/mm².

Abstract

The purposes  of this study  are  to determines: (1)  the  variation  effect of silica sand  andwaterglass mixture through permeability for manufacturing core (nakago). (2) the variation effect of silica sand and waterglass mixture through compressive strength of the core (nakago) making.(3)  the  optimal  price  of  the  permeability  and  the  compressive  strength  of  the  core  (nakago) making.  This  research  was  conducted  at  the  Polytechnic  Metal  Testing  ManufacturingLaboratory  in  Ceper  using  primary  materials  such  as  silica  sand  and  waterglass.  The  research method used in this study  is  an experimental method. The independent variable in this study  wasthe waterglass  variations  in  5%,  15%,  20%,  and 25%  level,  and the  dependent variables  are  the permeability and compressive strength.Results  of  this  study  are:  (1)  The  addition  of  waterglass  at  5%  become  15%  level  is increase, while  the  15%  become  20%  and  20%  become  25%  are  decrease.  (2)  Increasing  in anumber of  waterglass  level  will increase  the compressing    strength.  (3)  Waterglass Variation  in the level of  5%,  15%,  20%,  and  25%  obtain a permeability  row  90.33,  139.33,  115.30,  91.22, and  the  compressive  strength  11.33,  12,  20,  12.93,  16.50.  The  smallest  permeability  of waterglass  occurred  at  5%  ie  90.33  and  compressive  strength  of  waterglass  occured  at  5%  ie11.33, while the  largest  permeability  of  waterglass  occurred  at 15%  ie  139.33  and  compressive strength of waterglass occured at 25% ie 16.33.

Abstract

The research lead to conclusion that: (1) There is an effect of carburetor venturi diameter variation to power on motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-I 2009. This is shown by the results of the test data analysis, that Fobservasi = 3520.48 greater than Ftabel = 3.83 (Fobservasi > Ftabel) at 1% significance level. (2) There is the influence of the type of spark plug in motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-I 2009. This is shown by the results of the analysis of test data, that Fobservasi = 38452.50 greater than Ftabel = 4.31 (Fobservasi > Ftabel) at 1% significance level. (3) There is interaction the carburetor venturi diameter variation and types of spark plug to power the motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-I 2009. This is shown by the results of the analysis of test data, that Fobservasi= 1193.78 greater than Ftabel = 2.66 (Fobservasi > Ftabel) at significance level 1%. Maximum power of 12.1 HP acquired in size diameter 32 mm venturi carburetor, varying kinds of spark plug Denso U20 EPR 9.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of the variations  of the added magnesium  (Mg)  element  on  the  hardness  and  micro  structure  of    aluminum.  Material  for  the research was  aluminum. Prior to further study,  aluminum  was exposed to chemical composition testing to find out its composition definitely.It  consisted  of  several  phases,  namely:  cutting  the  material,  smelting  the  material,  adding  the magnesium  element  at  the  Metal  Laboratory,  Ceper  Polytechnics  of  Manufacture  residing  in Batur, Tegalrejo, Klaten. The micro structure testing and the hardness  testing were conducted at the  Engineering  Material  Laboratory,  Gadjah  Mada  University  residing  at  Jl.  Grafika  No.  2 Yogyakarta. The data of the research were analyzed by using the descriptive analytical methods. The results of the research show that the hardness value of the aluminum increases along with the quantity of the added magnesium element. The increasing amount of magnesium element added into the cast aluminum causes grain size of the aluminum to get smaller.

Abstract

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan elektroliser air menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar pada mesin Toyota Kijang sebesar 2,023×10-3 cc tiap siklus atau sebesar 5,4%, 2) Penggunaan pemanasan bahan bakar menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar pada mesin Toyota Kijang. Penurunan konsumsi terbesar pada pemanasan bahan bakar menggunakan pipa tembaga dengan jarak antar sirip 10 mm sebesar 4,818×10-3 cc tiap siklus atau sebesar 13%, 3) Penggunaan elektroliser air dan pemanasan bahan bakar menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar pada mesin Toyota Kijang. Penurunan konsumsi terbesar pada penggunaan elektroliser air dan pemanasan bahan bakar menggunakan pipa tembaga dengan jarak antar sirip 10 mm sebesar  6,196×10-3 cc tiap siklus atau sebesar 16,8%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: (1) To investigate the effect of adding MyGreenOil premium on fuel consumption on a motorcycle Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. (2) To investigate the effect of using CDI Dual Band on fuel consumption on a motorcycle Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. (3) To investigate the addition MyGreen Oil interaction in the premium fuel and the use of CDI Dual Band on fuel consumption on a motor bike Honda City Sport 1 of 2008 .The method used in this study was experimental, with a 3x3 factorial design and quantitative approaches. The population in this study was the Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. Samples were Honda City Sport 1 of 2008  with  engine  number  JBA1E  -  1035903.  Experiment?s  data  collecting   was  conducted  in  the laboratory  of  Mechanical  Engineering  Education  JPTK  FKIP  UNS.  Samples  were  taken  by  using purposive sampling technique. Data obtained from the measure and record the time required to spend as much as 50 ml of fuel at 4000 rpm engine speed. Data retrieved by taking 3 times replication, thus we were  able  to  get  a  number  of  27  data.  Techniques  of  data  analysis  in  this  study  was  using   two-way analysis of variance, after the  multiple comparison  test or post-test  ANOVA  using Scheffe test,  which first tested the pre-requisite test for normality and homogeneity tests. The normality test was using the Lilifors test and the homogeneity test was using the Bartlett test.Based on the results of the data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) There was a significant effect of the addition of MyGreen Oil premium on  fuel consumption Honda City Sport 1 of 2008 .  (2) There  was a significant effect of the use of Dual Band CDI for motorcycle fuel consumption Honda City Sport 1 of 2008.  (3) There was a  joint effect (interaction) MyGreenOil significant additions in the premium and the use  of  Dual  Band  CDI  for  motorcycle  fuel  consumption  Honda  City  Sport  1  of  2008 .  (4)  Fuel consumption is lowest when MyGreenOil addition of 1 ml with the use of CDI Dual Ba nd on curve II which amounted to 0.00446 ml / cycle.

Abstract

The result of this research shows that the usage of water electrolizer and the fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level of exhaust emission. On the normal condition, Toyota Kijang has 2.981% CO exhaust emission and 192.667 ppm HC. In the usage of water electrolizer can reduce the highest level on exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 0,84 % volume or 28 % while the HC exhaust emission is 24,334 ppm volume or 13 %. In the usage of fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level on exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 2,54 % volume or 85 % while the HC exhaust emission is 139,667 ppm volume or 72 %. In the usage of water electrolizer and the fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level of exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 2,648 %  volume or 89 % while the HC exhaust emission is 140 ppm volume or 73 %. The conclusion of this research is the usage of water electrolizer and fuel heating using three copper tubes with the range between the fins is 10 mm in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest exhaust emission on the machine of Toyota kijang 1989.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  this  research  is  to  increase  the  activeness  and  the students? achievement of X grader Automotive 1 of SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta on Basic  Automative  subject  in  the  Academic  Year  2012/2013  through  the application of cooperative learning of Think Pair Share (TPS) type.This  research  was  a  kind  of  Classroom  Action  Research.  The  research was done with two cycles which each cycle consisted of 4 phases, they were:  (1) planning; (2) conducting; (3) observing; (4) reflecting. The research subjects were X Graders Automotive 1 of SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta on Basic Automotive subject in  the  academic  year  2012/2013  as  many  31  students.  This  study  was  done through    collaboration  among  the  researcher,  room  teacher,  and  involves students?  participation.  Collecting  data  technique  used  observation  sheet, interview,  test,  and  documentation.  Data  sources  came  from  donation  from teachers,  students,  learning  process,  and  documents.  Validity  and  data  were proven  with  member  check,  triangulation,  audit  trail,  expert  opinion,  and  key respondents  review.  Data  analysis  used  comparative  descriptive  analytical technique  and  critical  analytics.  Observing  research  used  spiral  model  which research procedure was related each other.Result  of  research  shows  that  the  application  of  cooperative  learning model of  Think Pair Share  (TPS) type can increase the activeness and students? achievement.  The  students?  activeness  at  pre  cycle  is  14%  and  students? achievement is very low, 45% of students failed. The increasing is on cycle I. The activeness of pre cycle is 14% to 59% at cycle I. Students? achievement is from 55% passed to 68% passed on cycle I. On cycles II, the activeness increases 17%, from  59%  on  cycle  I  to76%  on  cycles  II,and  students?  achievement  increases 16%, that is 84% students passed.According  to  the  result,  it  can  be  concluded  that  :  the  application  of cooperative  learning  model  of  Think  Pair  Share  (TPS)  type  can  increase  the activeness and students? achievement on Basic Automotive subject.

Abstract

Serbuk tempurung kelapa dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan kampas rem non-asbes  sepeda motor. Dalam penelitian ini, pada  komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka yang paling mendekati dengan kampas rem pembanding. Komposisi serbuk tempurung kelapa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka keausan 0,071.10-7 mm2/kg. Komposisi serbuk tempurung kelpa 20%, serbuk aluminium 40%, resin 40% memiliki angka kekerasan 16,8 kgf/mm2. Dengan melakukan variasi komposisi akan didapat angka keausan dan kekerasan yang paling optimum. Variasi  komposisi  serbuk tempurung kelapa  sangat berpengaruh  terhadap angka keausan dan angka kekerasan  sampel kampas rem.
