Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk : (1) Menyelidiki pengaruh penambahan tabung elektroliser pada sistem bahan bakar terhadap daya mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. (2) Menyelidiki pengaruh variasi jenis busi berdasarkan jenis bahan pada pusat elektrodanya) terhadap daya mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. (3) Menyelidiki interaksi pengaruh penambahan tabung elektroliser pada sistem bahan bakar dan variasi jenis busi terhadap daya mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium dynotest PT. Motocourse Teknologi (mototech) Jalan Ringroad Selatan, Kemasan, Singosaren, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 3 x 2 untuk menyelidiki besarnya daya mesin dari setiap perlakuan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008 dengan nomor mesin 30C-049406. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan kemudian dilakukan uji komparansi ganda atau uji pasca anava menggunakan uji scheeffe, analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas metode Liliefors yang digunakan untuk menguji keadaan distribusi sampel, uji homogenitas dengan menggunakan metode Bartlet. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji anava dua jalan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tabung elektroloser dan variasi jenis busi dan komparasi pasca anava untuk mengetahui perbedaan rerata perlakuan manakah yang menghasilkan daya mesin yang paling tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Ada pengaruh penambahan tabung elektroliser terhadap daya mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. Hal ini dapat ditunjukkan pada hasil uji analisis data yang menyatakan bahwa Fobservasi = 136 lebih besar daripada Ftabel = 5,61 (FObservasi > Ftabel) pada taraf signifikansi 1% sehingga reratanya berbeda signifikan. (2) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara variasi jenis busi terhadap daya mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. Hal ini dapat ditunjukkan pada hasil uji analisis data yang menyatakan bahwa Fobservasi = 56 lebih besar daripada Ftabel = 7,82 (FObservasi > Ftabel) pada taraf signifikansi 1% sehingga reratanya berbeda signifikan. (3) Ada pengaruh bersama (Interaksi) yang signifikan antara penambahan tabung elektroliser pada sistem bahan bakar dan variasi jenis busi terhadap sepeda motor Yamaha Jupiter Z tahun 2008. Hal ini dapat ditunjukkan pada hasil uji analisis data yang menyatakan bahwa Fobservasi =  6 lebih besar dari pada Ftabel = 5,61 (Fobservasi Ftabel) sehingga reratanya berbeda signifikan

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: (1) to investigate the effect of the use of electrolyzer capacitors on the motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc 2013. (2) to investigate the effect of variations in the amount of stainless steel plate in electrolyzer to motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc in 2013. (3) to investigate the interaction between use of capacitor and the variation in the amount of stainless steel plate in electrolyzer to motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc in 2013. This research used experimental method. The sample in this research used Honda Supra-X motorcycle 125 cc 2013 with engine number JB91E3233452. The research was conducted on Solo-Tawangmangustreet, Jaten, Karanganyar by test the road at a constant speed of 60 km/h along the track 8 km and the weight of rider was 100 kg (ISO 7552-2010). The data were collected by the measurement of the motorcycle fuel consumption with electrolyzer tube addition used a capacitor as filter and the variation in the amount of stainless steel electrode plate, with numbers: 8 plates, 10 plates and 12 plates. The data obtained from the measurement were analyzed using two-ways analysis of variance techniques. The results of this research show that (1) there was an effect of the use of electrolyzer capacitors on the motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc 2013. (2) There was an effect of variations in the amount of stainless steel plate in electrolyzer to motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc in 2013. (3) There was an effect of the interaction between use of capacitor and the variation in the amount of stainless steel plate in electrolyzer to motorcycle fuel consumption Supra-X 125 cc in 2013. The lowest fuel consumption occurred in the treatment of electrolyzer 12 plates with capacitor, it was 13.97 cc/km. The fuel consumption decreased 17.58% were compared with the standard condition.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to improve the conceptual mastery of the students in Grade X of State Vocational High School 5 Surakarta in Mechanical Technology subject matter through the implementation of PAKEM approach; and (2) to improve the skills of the students in Grade X of State Vocational High School 5 Surakarta in Mechanical Technology subject matter through the implementation of PAKEM approach. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles and with spiral phases as claimed by Hopkins (1985). Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of research were the students as many as 31 in Grade X TM D of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta. The data sources of research were a teacher and students. The data of research were collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interview. The data of research were validated by using the content validity, and the items of questions and observation sheets were validated by expert judgment. They were analyzed by using the descriptive comparative model of analysis in the form of percentage. The results of research are as follows: 1) The implementation of PAKEM approach can improve the students? conceptual mastery in Mechanical Technology subject matter. Prior to the treatment, the average score of the conceptual mastery 59. Following the treatment, it becomes 77.74 in cycle I and 85.32 in cycle II respectively. 2) The implementation of PAKEM approach can improve students? skills in Mechanical Technology subject matter. Prior to the treatment, the percentage of their conceptual mastery is 51.92%. Following the treatment, it becomes 56.96% in cycle I and 80.19% in cycle II respectively. The indicators of their skills include speaking, listening, creativity, and competency. Thus, the application of PAKEM approach (active, creative, effective, and exciting learning) can improve the conceptual mastery Mechanical Technology subject matter of the students in Grade X of State Vocational High School 5 Surakarta in Academic Year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the fuel consumption  on a Honda Supra X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010 were affected by varying the amount of stainless steel plate and the installation of brown gas lines (before the carburetor and after the carburetor) on electrolyzer.This  study  is  an  experimental  study.  This  study  uses  a  3x2  factorial  experimental design. The method of data collection used in this study is the  measurement method.  The data analysis is a two-way analysis of variance.The results of this study are:  (1) There is the influence of variations the amount of stainless steel plate of electrolyzer to fuel consumption Supra-X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010, Fobservation  =  4.0316  >  Ftable=  3.89  at  the  5%  significance  level.   (2)  There  is  the  influence  of variations in the  brown gas line installation of electrolyzer to fuel consumption Supra-X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010, Fobservation  = 59.5505 > Ftable = 4.75 at the 5% significance level.  (3) There is an interaction between variation the amount of stainless steel plate and a variations in the  brown  gas  line  installation  of  electrolyzer  to  fuel  consumption  Honda  Supra-X  125R  CW motorcycle  in  2010,  Fobservation =  5.6266  >  Ftable=  3.89  at  the  5%  significance  level.   (4) Construction is ideal for use on Honda Supra X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010 is electrolyzer B with electrode construction totaling 8 stainless steel plate and installation of brown gas lines after carburetor  which  can  save  fuel  by  32  ml  /  8  miles  or  22.80%  of  the  fuel  consumption  of  the standard condition.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to: (1) Analyze the using of Ignition Booster to the torque and engine power on Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle 2010. (2) Analyze the variety of spark plug to the torque and engine power on Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle 2010. Based on the research can be concluded that: (1) The using of Ignition Booster could increase torque and engine power on wheel axis. Its because of the using of Ignition Booster could repair ignition system, So the torque and engine power on wheel axis increase. (2) The using of variety spark plug could increase torque and engine power on wheel axis. Its because of better electrode design on spark plug could increase fire fragment quality, so the torque and engine power on wheel axis increase. (3) The using of Ignition Booster and variety of spark plug could increase torque and engine power on wheel axis. Its because of the using of Ignition Booster could repair combustion system and better electrode design on spark plug could increase fire fragment quality, so the torque and engine power on wheel axis increase. (4) Maximum torque obtained with use ignition booster and Iridium Spark plug, which is 4.95 ft.lbs at 6000 rpm. Maximum Engine Power obtained with use ignition booster and Iridium Spark plug, which is 6.49 ft.lbs at 8000 rpm.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the student?s learning motivation and learning achievement through the implementation of assignment strategy on lathe machining practices subject student of SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta.  This research is a classroom action research. It was performed by two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this research are 31 students of TPM C second grade of SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta. The data source was taken from teacher and students. The techniques of collecting data are observation, test, documentation, and questionnaire. The data validity uses content and construct validity. The techniques of data analysis use comparative analysis and descriptive statistic. The result shows that: (1) the implementation of assignment strategy could improve the learning motivation. It is shown by the percentage of students motivation before the implementation which is 31,85%. After the first cycle is done, the percentage increases in the number of 51,18%, and 78,1% increases in the second cycle, (2) the implementation of assignment strategy could improve the learning achievement. It is shown from the precentage of students having test score more than 75. Before application of assignment strategy there are 45,16%, after the implementation were done, the precentage of the students achievement is 54,84% in the first cycle, and 87,1% and increases in the second cycle. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of assignment strategy could improve the students learning motivation and achievement the subject of lathe machining practices subject student SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research can be seen such as: 1) Examine the level of teacher preparation in light vehicle engineering package through implementing 2013 curriculum in SMK PGRI 3 Randudongkal based on performance and profesionalism, 2) Examine influenced changing factor through implementing light vehicle engineering skill package curriculum in SMK PGRI 3 Randudongkal. This research used descriptive approach with qualitative and quantitative data. Data source which is used is informant, place and event, document and archive document. The technique of taking sample is used selective technique such as purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data is observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The instrument of validity test uses technique of triangulation data sources and triangulation methods, meanwhile the validity for quantitative data uses expert judgment and numerical correlated number Pearson?s Product Moment Correlation which is used reliability test with Cronbach Alpha formula. The technique of data collection for qualitative data uses interactive analysis model, while data analysis for quantitative data concerns on value estimation. The result of this research shows that: 1) Teacher preparation in implementing curriculum 2013 based on teacher performance have achievement such as: a) lesson plan includes high category percentage with 66,67 %, teachers have done in making lesson plan perfectly because they prepare Lesson Plan before starting to learn. b) Learning implementation becomes at the high category with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.67%, teacher manages the class based on Lesson Plan that has been made before and implement learning strategy based on materials that has been taught. c) Learning assessment gets in the high category with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.67%, the teachers carry out an evaluation of the material that has been completed taught. 2) Teacher preparation in implementing 2013 curriculum based on professionalism have achievement such as: a) Professional competence in the high category with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.67%, the teacher has to know the basics of education in Indonesia; b) pedagogical competence in the high category with the acquisition of a percentage of 100%, teaching learning activities both from the planning, implementation and assessment of learning outcomes; c) Personality Competence in the high category with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.67%, a wise teacher has a personality and can be role models for students and for others outside of the school area; d) Social Competence at the high category with a percentage of 100% acquisition, teachers have good communication skills with students, as well as with other people. 3) the influenced factor which is create for changing curriculum in SMK PGRI 3 Randudongkal such as: a) SMK PGRI 3 Randudongkal has already committed to others school to follow curriculum changing b) future challenge as globalization, environment problem, information and technology advanced c). public perspective measure this education more significantly concern on cognitive aspect than character building.

Abstract

The research?s purpose aim are to: (1)knowing the relevance of technical drawing learning materials in SMK St.Mikael Surakarta far has been to support student mastery of the technical drawing materials industrial needs, (2)knowing the relevance of technical drawing learning materials in SMK St.Mikael Surakarta to the industrial needs, (3)knowing how character education inculcated in the students graduated from vocational St.Mikael Surakarta through learning of technical drawing. This is a descriptive-qualitative research. The variables consist of technical drawing learning competencies in SMK and those in industries (independent variable). The research subject is the data obtained from schools it is SMK St. Mikael Surakarta and a number of industries. The research population and sample are a number of industries namely: PT. KING MANUFACTURE, PT. Sinar Agung Selalu Sukses, PT. SUCCESS PLASINDO. The techniques of data collection include documentation, observation, questionnaires and interviews. The steps of data analysis are data reduction or selection, data presentation, and conclusion. The analysis results in three conclusions: (1)the technical drawing learning materials of SMK St. Mikael Surakarta students have so far been supporting the students? mastery of competencies required by industries, (2)the technical drawing learning materials are relevant to the industrial needs, (3)by learning the technical drawing competencies, a number of students? characters can be developed, namely honesty, thoroughness, discipline, team work and leadership.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to get an increasing in the students learning activity which used blended learning method with face-to-face learning approaches in the classroom and on the facebook social networks media in the transmission system competence in class X MO1 Pancasila Senior Vocational School Surakarta (2) to obtain an increasing of outcomes in student learning with using blended learning with face-to-face learning approaches in the classroom and on the facebook social media  in the transmission system competence in class X MO1 Pancasila Senior Vocational School Surakarta. This research was  implemented about 9 months from Januari until September 2014. This research was held at Pancasila Senior Vocational School Surakarta. The subject of this research all of student in the X grade class MO1 with the total members of this class are 34 students. The procedure of this research is TOD (Classroom Action Research) which used 3 cycles. While,  the techniques which used for data agregatted is the technique of test and non-test techniques. As for, the tool of data agregatted was about the written test and observation sheet of students learning activity which taken during the research. Base on data and result of research analysis showed  the implementation of learning use blended learning with face-to-face learning approaches in the classroom and on the facebook social media in the transmission system competence in class X MO1 TKR Pancasila Senior Vocational School Surakarta occurs an increasing in the activity of student learning. Base on the student activity observation sheet there is an increasing of each cycle. In the Pre-cycle which just use conventional methods obtain a percentage value of active students at 13%. In the first cycle when the BlendedLearning methodis  applied, the combining of learning activity in the class and social media facebook is increase, The student activity increase to 55%, then in the second cycle the activity increase until 82%. While in the results of study are also develop an increasing of the value of each cycle. Pre-cycle with conventional methods, the class averages score is69.93 and the thorough study is 32%. Then, using the Blended Learning, the combining of classroom learning and social media network Facebook has increased. In the first cycle the averages value of the class is 72.93 and thorough study is 56%.. Furthermore, in the second cycle the averages value of the class increase to 80.06 and the thorough study is also increase to 76%

Abstract

The purpose of this research is are to determine the influence of membrane valve springs length Air Induction System (AIS) to the exhaust gas emissions CO, HC and CO2 on Yamaha Byson motorcycle 2010. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Automotive Mechanical Engineering Education Program, JPTK, FKIP, UNS Surakarta to the address on the road Ahmad Yani no. 200 Kartasura. Test of CO, HC and CO2 exhaust gas emissions was used a gas analyzer STARGAS 898 type. This research was used experimental methods. The population  in this research were a motorcycle Yamaha Byson in 2010 and sample in this research was a motorcycle Yamaha Byson in 2010 with 45P010961 engine number. Techniques of data analysis in this research using descriptive data analysis. Based on this research can be conclude: (1) The results gas emissions levels, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used, the higher the resulting CO. (2) The results HC exhaust emissions levels, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used, the lower the resulting HC. (3) The result levels of CO2 emissions, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used , the lower the CO2 produced. Of the all emissions in this test, the all still under standard exhaust emissions limits released by the ministry of the environment number 05 in 2010.
