Abstract

Creating a sustainable competitive advantage is a crucial factor in strategic management. With the competitive advantage, an organization will be able to continue its operation, win the competition, and achieve its goals. Strategy, resources, and technological environmental changes are key factors that should be considered in building a sustainable competitive advantage. Strategy theorized the organization methods to compete successfully in its business. The strategies formulated to achieve competitive advantage includes overall low cost, differentiation, and focus strategy. Business that mix the cost and differentiation strategies has proved to achieve the highest performance. However, the variation in resources accumulation has become the core of strategy and gives significant contribution in building the competitive advantage. The choice of strategy is restricted by the number of resources available and how fast the organization acquires new resources. The Resources based View (RBV) provides a good explanation for this condition. New technology, the changes of customer demands, and the rise of newcomers provide significant changes in business competitive environment. They also affect strategic changes and sources of competitive advantage. The organizations will survive and succeed if they able to change as fast as or even faster than business environmental changes.

Abstract

This paper examines how bank lending channel could affected the real sector. The result shows that bank lending have positive influence in the Indonesia real sector. Using Vector Autoregressive (VAR), bank lending affect real sector with time lag. In this paper, real sector divided into two block, household and firm. Household faster to react in increasing bank lending by consumption rise.

Abstract

Laporan tahunan berfungsi sebagai alat pertanggungjawaban manajemen kepada stakeholder. Permasalahan yang muncul dalam laporan tahunan adalah kemampuan laporan tersebut untuk dibaca (readability) dan dipahami (understandability). Readability adalah kemampuan pembaca untuk memberikan arti pada pesan yang tercetak dan melengkapi tindakan komunikasi yang diajukan, sedangkan understandability meliputi dua hal yaitu panjang kata (word length) dan panjang kalimat (sentences length). Understandability memfokuskan pada pembaca dan tergantung (dipengaruhi) latar belakang pembaca, pengetahuan pembaca sebelumnya, tujuan, minat dan kemampuan membaca secara umum. Di lain sisi, kemampuan dibaca (readability) memfokuskan pada teks dan tidak berkaitan dengan karakteristik pembaca. Masalah lain yang muncul dalam understandability adalah munculnya fiksasi fungsional.Di samping penggunaan laporan tahunan untuk pengambilan keputusan investasi, alternatif untuk meningkatkan komunikasi yang efektif adalah ringkasan laporan tahunan (summary annual report-SAR) yaitu laporan tahunan dalam bentuk yang lebih ringkas yaitu dengan menghilangkan atau memperpendek detil yang ada pada laporan tahunan tradisional auditan. Namun demikian penggunaan SAR ini masih butuh pengkajian lebih lanjut karena menimbulkan tambahan tanggung jawab legal untuk pengungkapan yang belum ada pedoman tegasnya sehingga kemungkinan munculnya risiko litigasi lebih besar karena kepentingan investor sebagai pemakai utama laporan tahunan tidak terjamin.

Abstract

This research intended to appreciate the facts of (1) School climate for basic education, (2) society participation on the basic education, (3) Leadership of the school on basic education, ( 4) Input of the school for basic education, ( 5) teaching and learning process which school carried out for basic education, and ( 6) Image of the school that execute basic education. The ex post facto method was conducted in this research. Research population are education stakeholder at set of education of SD and SMP. The sample was determined with cluster random sampling technique. Questionnaire, guidance of interview, and documentation was conducted to get data and quantitative analysis with descriptive statistic and enriched with qualitative analysis. Result of the research indicate that (1) School climate that execute basic education in Kota Kupang of Nusa Tenggara Timur Province have goodness or conducive condition. Generally, the schools have serious efforts to create and improve school climate which progressively. (2) Degree of student parent participation or society participation is not yet optimal that is residing at good condition (the ground of good position) so that admit to be improved. (3) Generally, The school have very good leadership pattern that is good sociability of teachers to school citizen, teachers have democratic model in teaching and learning process, and the teachers have the best set an example for his/her students or school citizen. (4) Condition of facilities and basic facilities that found in the schools as basic education organizer generally have a goodness condition, treatment of facilities and basic facilities was happened as weakness that relate to those facilities, so the facilities and basic facilities not optimally function yet. (5) Input for the Elementary School and Junior High School generally reside in good category. (6) Teaching and learning condition at the schools that organized of basic education have a good category. This means, that the teacher have ability to listen the student complaint, teaching method that applied the teacher can improve students being active in the teaching and learning process, good class atmosphere in the teaching and learning process, and very conducive for using optimally teaching aid in the teaching and learning process. (7) interscholastic as an organizer of basic education to improve quality and development of school program have a tight or high competitive category.

Abstract

Masalah tenaga kerja adalah masalah yang sangat kompleks dan besar. Kondisi kerja yang baik, kualitas output yang tinggi, upah yang layak serta kualitas sumber daya manusia adalah persoalan yang selalu muncul dalam pembahasan tentang tenaga kerja disamping masalah hubungan industrial antara pekerja dengan dunia usaha. Dapat dikatakan ketenagakerjaan di Indonesia hingga kini masih menghadapi beberapa ketidakseimbangan baik struktural ataupun sektoral. maka salah satu sasaran yang perlu diusahakan adalah meningkatkan daya guna tenaga kerja. Permintaan Tenaga kerja yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai marjinal produk (Value of Marginal Product, VMP), Penawaran Tenaga Kerja yang dipengaruhi oleh jam kerja yang luang dari tenaga kerja individu serta upah, secara teoretis harus diperhatikan agar kebijakan-kebijakan yang dilakukan mendekati tujuan yang diinginkan

Abstract

Upaya pemerintah untuk terus mengembangkan profesi pendidik sebagai profesi yang kuat dan dihormati sejajar dengan profesi lainnya terlihat dari lahirnya UU No 14 tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen yang berusaha mengembangkan profesi pendidik melalui perlindungan hukum. Pemerintah telah berupaya untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru diantaranya meningkatkan kualifikasi dan persyaratan jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi bagi tenaga pengajar mulai tingkat persekolahan sampai perguruan tinggi. Upaya lain yang dilakukan pemerintah adalah program sertifikasi, dan pembentukan PKG (Pusat Kegiatan Guru, MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran), maupun KKG (Kelompok Kerja Guru). Hal yang penting dan perlu dilakukan pemerintah adalah membangun kemandirian di kalangan guru. Kemandirian tersebut akan menumbuhkan sikap profesional dan inovatif pada guru dalam melaksanakan peran dan tugasnya mendidik masyarakat menuju kehidupan yang lebih baik dan berkualitas.

Abstract

This study aims at describing principles of fairness education examined from intellectual and financial aspects of sociology in the social perspectives. Relying on the quantitative approach, this study collected data using survey, observation, in depth interview, and documentary analysis. Area sampling techniques were used in this study involving one countries and one cities in the Makasar provinces. The number of respondents and their areas were 2 persons from Education Department Office, 12 principals, 12 school-teachers, 12 student-parents, 3 members of School Committee, and 24 students. Data of this study were analyzed using tabulation techniques focusing on the frequency and rate percentage. Three findings were revealed in this study. First, schools that have conducted principles of fairness education included schools that opened acceleration classes, superior classes, SNBI classes, bilingual classes, and inclusive or integrated classes. Second, schools that implemented principles of fairness education emphasizing on financial aspects were schools that gave scholarships and cross-subsidy. Third, schools that accommodated principles of fairness education based on the intellectual aspect put strong emphasis on the quality of input students. In addition, financial aspects in the implementation of principles of fairness education included economy status of students parents, school budget condition, support from local government, support from school committee, and support from stakeholders.
