Abstract

Abstract Drug abuse is a problem that is no longer public. Drug abuse in Lumajang District ranked 9th in East Java. Based on the year 2015 the number of drug abuse victims in the district was 566 people. National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Lumajang is an institution that provides rehabilitation services for victims of drug abuse. In 2016 BNNK handled 80 patients, in 2017 there was 57 patients, and 23 patients in 2018. The efforts that were carried out to restore victims of narcotic abuse and addictive drugs (drugs). The problem of this study was how to attempt the rehabilitation of drug victims and addictive drugs (drugs) in the BNN of Lumajang district. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive type. Determination of informant with Purposive technique. Data collection techniques using non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, and verification. The validity technique of data uses the source and method triangulation. The result of research on rehabilitation efforts is to build relationships with clients, conduct assessment, intervene by determining the plan of therapy and counseling, monitoring and termination.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to explain by describing what and how far the deviant behavior of female students working as LC (Ladies Companion) in Jember. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and belonged to a descriptive research. The research subjects were students who worked as LC. The analysis unit used a purposive technique. The data collection was supported through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the explanation was done descriptively to explain the students' behavior who work as LC. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that the behavior of the students who work as LC were drinking alcoholic beverages, using narcotics and drugs, even doing prostitution. The occurrence of these deviant behaviors will potentially be a social disease that can lead to social problems in the community and if it is not immediately addressed, it will lead to social disorganization. Indirectly, the deviant behavior done by female students working as LC becomes a social problem in the community.

Abstract

Abstrak Isu permasalahan limbah bermuatan B3 pada industri manufaktur logam berupa debu aluminium yang berpotensi merugikan mendorong ide kreatif dan inovatif. Kondisi sosial-ekonomi yang tidak menentu akibat masih bergantungnya pada sektor pertanian dan keunikan cara pandang masyarakat lokal mendorong perkembangan usaha daur ulang limbah industri manufaktur logam yang dikelola menjadi batangan aluminium dengan di dukung peningkatan kapasitas berbasis konteks lokal hingga terarahkan dalam proses pengembangan komunitas lokal (indigenous community development) pada komunitas pengrajin batangan aluminium. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses indigenous community development melalui daur ulang limbah industri manufaktur logam. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi deskriptif. Teknik penentuan informan adalah purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data diantaranya wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses indigenous community development pada komunitas pengrajin batangan aluminium memuat tahapan dan strategi yang diantaranya tahapan pengembangan awal dengan strategi penanaman motivasi diri dan keterbukaan hubungan kerja sama. Tahapan transformasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan dengan penerapan langkah learning by doing. Tahapan pengembangan insiatif lokal yang merupakan penyempurna dari praktik pemberdayaan dengan penerapan pendekatan inovatif, memelihara jaringan kerja regular dan pengembangan konsesus dengan industri manufaktur logam hingga pemerintah. Seiring proses indigenous community development yang dilakukan telah mendorong pelembagaan tata kelola daur ulang limbah industri manufaktur logam dengan didasarkan pada unsur regulasi disertai prinsip partisipatif, prinsip edukatif, dan prinsip sinergis yang secara berkelanjutan menjadikannya unsur pendukung dalam menjaga stabilitas dari eksistensi proses indigenous community development dalam mewujudkan peningkatan kesejahteraan.

Abstract

In 2014, the India Global Hunger Index was 17,8. Then in 2017, India Global Hunger Index increased to 31,4, putting it at the rank of 100 categorized as serious. Comparing with the other countries in south Asia, India Global Hunger Index is higher than Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. India is only slightly above Pakistan and Afghanistan. There are many reasons why the hunger problem is high in South Asia. In India, the hunger problem is caused by child stunting. Child stunting grow highly in India with the number of 38,8%. This number can considered as the highest in the south Asia region. Child stunting in India grows every year from 2014 with 37% to 2017 with 38,8%. Child stunting grow high in India because of poor food security and health security. Poor food security in India related to the availability of food and bad access to the food. Meanwhile, poor health security in India related to the bad condition of health facility such as sanitation. The availability of food has decreased because of climate changes such as drought which caused the crops decreased. In other hand, bad access for food is caused by bad implementation of government policy. Due to the low availability of food in India, malnutrition among mothers grows high. Because of the bad access to the food, baby diet becomes poor. It also occurs due to the lack of health education from the government. These are the reason why child stunting in India keeps increasing from 2014 to 2017.

Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to describe the impact of tourism village development on Real Fund of Village and Community in Kemiren village, Glagah sub-district, Banyuwangi regency. Tourism is one of the revenue boosters with a bright prospect and minimal risk. The existence of holding customary norms was the uniqueness in this village. Tourism management in Kemiren Village was carried out by Tourism Concious Community (Pokdarwis) in collaboration with the government. Therefore, in this study, the researchers discussed the impact of tourism village development on Real Fund Village and Community that provided tourism services namely homestay rentals, souvenir sellers, art activists, studio owners, and restaurant owners. This descriptive research employed a quantitative approach. The research was conducted in Kemiren village, Glagah sub-district, Banyuwangi regency from July to August 2018. The population of this research consisted of 94 people including the owners of homestay, restaurants or cafes, art shop, and studio, as well as art activists. The sample of this research consisted of 48 people selected by random sampling technique. The data used in research consisted of primary and secondary data obtained through document review, questionnaires, and interviews. Then, the data were analyzed by using proportion analysis. Gradually, the tourism village development in Kemiren village was carried out on several aspects such as tourist attractions, accessibility, human resource development, promotion and partnerships as well as government activities in the village. The impact of income received by the village government on tourism business result increased the Village Real Fund by 18 percent in 2017 and 17 percent in 2018. In addition, community income increased in 2016 by 13.88 percent. The highest increase in 2017 was 35.94 percent, and in 2018, it was 16.61 percent. This information can be said that the development activities could increase the Real Fund of Village and Community.
