Abstract

Job satisfaction is very necessary for any profession. Job satisfaction of auditorincreasingly paid attention to increase performance so that purpose of reachable company ororganization. Many factors which can increase job/activity one of them is commitment.Commitment of it self divided to become two types, those are organizational commitment andprofessional commitment. How far commitment influence to job satisfaction is tested to returns toin this research, by peeping out motivation is intervening variables.Test utilized to analyze commitment influence to job satisfaction that is regression test,path analysis as well as statistic T test. Research data obtained from questionary answerpropagated to the auditors working for Kantor Akuntan Publik in Semarang. Result of researchanalysis express that commitment has positive influence and significant to job satisfaction ofAuditor. From knowable path analysis that relation between organizational commitment and alsoprofessional commitment is relationship that is direct without. Existence of motivation asintervening variable. So it job satisfaction of auditor wish to be improved, hence an auditors shallhave high commitment either that is to the organization and also profession.Key words: organizational commitment, professional commitment, motivation and jobsatisfaction.

Abstract

Time difference between financial statement and auditing opinion date indicatesthe amount of time needed in auditing settlement period. This condition can affect thepunctuation of the information published and will influence market reaction towardsthe lengthy information. It will also the level of uncertainty based on the publishedinformation in the auditor’s financial statement in which containing company’s profitinformation. This study aims to measure the factors which affect audit delay. They aretotal asset, operation loss and profit, auditor’s opinion, profitability, and auditor’sreputation.The population of the study is the LQ 45 companies registered in the JakartaStock Exchange in the period of 2001-2005. Sampling technique employed in this studyis the purposive sampling with the total sample of 13 companies. The data analysis usesmultiple regressions.The result of the study shows that the total asset, operation loss and profit, andauditor’s opinion have significant influence towards audit delay. On the other hand,profitability and the auditor’s reputation do not have any influence towards audit delay.Key words: audit delay, the size of the company, operation loss and profit, auditor’sopinion, profitability, auditor’s reputation.

Abstract

Mostly problems are faced by Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) thatrelated to marketing aspect. Role of brand very important to SMEs in order its productis recognized easily by consumers. Implementation of brand management in SMEs willassist the brand recognition to their customers. This paper seeks to offer concept ofcreating brand awareness, brand management models, brand development model inSMEs. Implementation of effectiveness brand management consider about type andstrategy of business at each SMEs.The paper suggests that word by mouth strategy effectively to increasebrand awareness. The primary factor determining successful of brand management atSMEs is commitment of owners to focus in recognizing their brands. Owners havedouble roles in brand management is as director or manager that give intensivelyattention to brand management and as entrepreneurs who to be personification ofproduct’s brand.Key words: Brand management, Brand awareness, Small Medium Enterprises.

One of the strategy is using contractworker (outsourcing) in order to rise flexibility. Abstract

In Jakarta, the amount of manpower was larger than the number of opportunitiesfor employment. This fact made a serious unemployment problems.The purpose ofresearch was analyzing the influence of GDP, wage and investment on the absorptionof manpower.There were 3 results of research. First, GDP had a positive significanceinfluence on absorption of manpower. Second, wage factor had a negative significantinfluence on. And third, investment had a negative significant influence on. The lastresult was not according with theory, because the most of investors in Jakarta more usecapital-intensive than manpower-intensive.This study suggested the local government to improve economic growth up, tosurmount the disagreement of wage between employee and employer, and to deep-selectto the next of big investors applicant who will plant their large capital in Jakarta.Key words: opportunities fo emplyement, GDP, wage, investment.

Abstract

DPR-RI legalize Law of Syariah Banking number 21/2008. It’s means thatsyariah banking has a foundation to develop the banking. The new substantial of the lawis including ‘syariah’ word for syariah banking, punishment for the leader ofstockholder, MUI has fatwa otority, The Central Of Bank as a controller and monitoringsyariah banking, definition of financing is changes, and there is choice of law inprinciple. In Implementation, the Law have two implementation i.e. policyimplementation and law enforcement implementation.To implementation the law needsother support until the target syariah banking of grow achieved. Syariah banking haschance and challenge. The challenge i.e there is foreign ownership, foreign employment,syariah principle on product/service by MUI, the leader of stockholder past a fit andproper test. Abstract

In the autonomy and fiscal decentralization era, local governments is providedwith authority to increase their income and to conduct allocative function in settingpriority of local development. This research is intended to examine the influence ofeconomic growth, inter-regional inequality, employment, on welfare atregencies/municipalities level in Central Java Province.Research population consist of 29 regencies and 6 municipalities, employingsecondary data from Central Bureau of Statistic of Central Java Province andregencies/municipalities level in Central Java Province within the period of 2001 upto 2005. Data analysis is conducted by using path analysis .The results of this study indicate that, first, economic growth has a positiveand significant effect on welfare at regencies/municipalities level in Central JavaProvince. Second, inter-regional inequality has a negative and significant effect onwelfare at regencies/municipalities level in Central Java Province. Third,employment rate has a negative and significant effect on welfare atregencies/municipalities level in Central Java Province.Key words:, economic growth, inter-regional inequality, employment, welfare

Abstract

This study purposes to investigate affect corporate governance to corporateperformance. The analysis employed two kinds of models, first model with ROE asoperational performance measurement and second model with Tobin’s Q as marketperformance measurement.This study employs a multiple regression to test that corporate governancepositively significant affect corporate performance. The rating of CGPI by IICG is usedto measure to the corporate governance implementation. Sample of this study arecompanies that listed in Bursa Efek Jakarta, now Bursa Efek Indonesia and follow CGPIprogram. Amount of sample are 101 companies as a pooled data from 2001 to 2005.Secondary data is used in this study.The analysis shows that CGPI positively significant affect operationalperformance but CGPI doesn’t affect market performance. It maybe market does notrespond the implementation of corporate governance immediately. The affect can be seenfor long period because related with investor trust.Key words: corporate governance, performance, ROE, Tobin’s Q.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by small business is capitalization difficulty. Thisdifficulty emerges because of various requirements which cannot be fulfilled. Hencealternatively to overcome this legal capital problem they borrow to Lembaga KeuanganMikro/LKM. One of LKM which is enough concern in development of this small businessis BMT. Research aim to identify factors influencing demand probability of smallbusiness working capital credit from BMT and analyses does asset value factor, basicyield, sharing holder ratio and single source rate in other finance companies can predictin significan demand probability of commercial sector small business working capitalcredit from BMT in Pontianak. Testing with logistics regression is obtained by asset totalvariable and single source rate in other finance companies had an effect on significan todemand probability of small business working capital credit from BMT, while advantagefactor per month and sharing holder ratio significan doesn't to small business probabilityborrows circulating capital from BMT at level of significan 5%.Key words: small business, credit, working capital, BMT, probability

Abstract

and performance. Many students were participated in manipulation check andlaboratory experiment. Anagram was used in this experiment as individual assignmentand goal setting’s treatment. Self-efficacy were measured with 17 items, adapted andmodified from the Shere, at al. (1982). Scale assessing the strength of person’s efficacy.Performance was measured with score that was achieved by participant in the game.Path analysis was used in order to analyze the relationship between variables. ANOVAwas used to test the causal relationship between goal setting and performance. Linierregression was used to test the relationship between self-effiacy and performance.This research finding shows that causal relationship between goal setting andperfomance was not significant and the relationship between self-efficacy andperformance was significant.Key words: goal Setting – self-efficacy – performance
