Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the cohesion aspect anaphora and katafora the Kompas newspaper editorials. The method used in this study is qualitative content analysis with technical analysis is a method used to examine in greater depth discourse. The results showed that of the 12 editorial discourse data showed as many as 164 pairs of sentences. Research data of 164 couples found 67 sentences have cohesion anaphora or as much as 40,48% and only 14 pairs sentence with katafora cohesion or 8,54%. Aspects of cohesion anaphora is used predominantly in building cohesion sentence. From the use of markers, can be show that demonstrative pronouns as much as 54,32% more often appear in a sentence with cohesion. It indicates that the demonstrative pronoun marker has an important role in forming the sentence cohesion.

Abstract

The goal reached in this study is to describe and explain (1) implicature entity; (2) violation of cooperative principle; and (3) violation of politeness principle. The research is qualitative approach in content analysis and pragmatics theory designed. Data is humor discourse on Ini Talkshow program at NET TV, collected by recoding and taking a note. Data validation investigated by applying data triangulation. Then, data analyzed by using interactive models. The result study presented that (1) humor discourse of impicature entity on Ini Talkshow such as mentioning, expressing, refusing, instituating, judging, accusing, claiming, asking/want, mocking, evicting, and threatening; (2) violated of cooperative principle maxim such as quantity, quality, relevance, and manner; and (3) besides violating cooperative principle, the implicature expressing also violated positive and negative politeness. This violation was done deliberately in case to create the humor sense of audience minds.

Abstract

The study proposes marriage ceremony backdrop for their negotiations with language Minangkabau. Negotiations in this study aims to explain the culture of oral tradition in particular illocutionary speech act. This research uses a qualitative approach with methods of ethnography of communication. Illocutionary speech acts research results that found three of the five types of speech act speech act. The three types of illocutionary speech acts found in the form of speech acts assertive, directive, and expressive. Assertive speech acts found be stating a fact or truth of something. Directive speech acts found be sent (request), justifying, and asking permission to others. Expressive speech acts found be thanked.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the method of role playing, improved learning outcomes, and the advantages and disadvantages of the methods of role playing in elementary school. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Subjects in the study third grade students numbering nine people. This type of research is classroom action research with data collection through testing, observation and documentation. These data analysis techniques using data analysis with interactive models, and in the activities of analysis and data collection activities using two cycles of the first cycle and the second cycle. The results showed an increase learning outcomes Indonesian teaching methods for role playing in a drama about the beauty of nature with the provisions of ≥70 value as much as 80% of students, in cooperation with the provisions ≥75 students as much as 80% and motivated students with the provisions of ≥75 value as much as 80%. Therefore, it can be seen the advantages of this model is to make learning more fun, can improve learning outcomes Indonesian, cultivate the potential of students, improve student collaboration. While the drawbacks is that it takes a long time and needed a place large enough.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) the concept of leadership in pituduh that fit into the category ketuhunan and (2) the concept of leadership in wewaler (Prohibition). This research is the study of literature. The method used in this study is a content analysis method. The object of this study is the concept of Suharto. The subjects were Unen-Unen (proverb). Data collected with a note reading techniques. The primary data source is selected by using purposive sampling method. The conclusions made by the formulation and the conclusion of the data that has been analyzed and interpreted with the use of the theory of Paul Ricoeur hermeneutics. The results of this study are as follows. First, the concept of leadership in pituduh (hint) that fit into the category of divinity has two leadership instructions: (1) be applicable authorities properly, (2) the truth of God into a basic truth of the ruler. The concept of leadership in pituduh (hint) that fit into the category of nationality include (1) a good leader is a dreamer fair, spirited noble, able to give jobs to the people, (2) A good leader is a leader who can reassure the people, (3 ) A good leader is willing and able to fix the flaws and vices, (4) leadership is a trust from God, (5) A good leader wary of praise, (6) a good leader wary of bad temper, (7) the leader of the evil is the leader dangerous, (8) Choosing a good leader is not an evil leader, (9) the evil leader will declare evil is goodness. Second, the concept of leadership in wewaler (Prohibition) includes two categories, namely humanity and nationality. Category prohibition in humanitarian terms include a ban on the leaders of banned arrogant leader. The prohibition in respect of nationality shows that good leaders leaned pleasure and sadness on the basis pleasure and pain the people, not on personal pleasure and pain.

Abstract

This study begins from the problem of low skills learning ability to compose Elementary literature in PGSD departement of Bung Hatta University. It can be seen from the results of  students’ mid semester test, observation, and interviews with faculty to compose literature Skills in elementary course. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of an active learning model type of card sort to compose skills to elementary schools student in PGSD Department and to know the results of learning skills to compose an Elementary course-students after being taught by active learning model type of card sort. This type of research was a Quasi Experimental study. The populations were all students in PGSD department Academic Year 2015/2016.The Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires of learning motivation and learning skills tests to compose Elementary literature in PGSD. The Data analysis techniques used in this study were  t-test and ANOVA. Based on the findings, we concluded that first learning skills to compose elementary literature students who use active learning model type of card sort was higher than in convenetional than students who used conventional learning either seen as a whole or from high and low learning motivation. Second, there was no interaction between the learning motivation to learn the skills of learning to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students. It means that active learning model type of card sort gave good effect on learning skilss to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students.

Abstract

Writing skills is activities of language serves to produce  written language. Writing can improve intelligence, develop initiative, creativity,, stimulate the willingness and ability to gather information. Students skills in short stories writing activities is still lacking. This things because teachers use less attractive media. Thus, this study uses audio media to increase students interest in writing. This study aimed to describe the shost story intrinsic elements and the use of capital letters in Creative Short Story Writing Skills Using Media Audio Class XII SMAN I Payakumbuh District.This research is a quantitative research using descriptive method. The study population class XII students totaling 217 consists of 8 classes. Writer to perform sampling with random random sampling techniques. The instrument of this study is to test performance. Data analysis  in the study: to check the results to write short stories, analyze the data and provide a score based on indicators, and put forward the test results to the classification skills by using a scale of 10.Results showed that  average value of 90.8 are in the range of 86-95% with good qualification. Creative writing skills are evaluated from two short stories specified indicators are: (1) short story creative writing skills in terms of the intrinsic elements of the short story is the 100 that are in the range of 96-100% with impeccable qualifications; (2) The short story creative writing skills in terms of capitalization was 80.8% are in the 76-85 range with good qualifications. Thus, we can conclude the students are already capable in writing short stories as well as the use of capital letters in writing.

Abstract

This study expects a teacher has learning methods to better support classroom learning, thus resulting in a productive and active learning. Indonesian textbooks and academic self-expression SMA / MA / SMK / MAK class XII 2nd semester curriculum in 2013, the Ministry of education and culture through learning to write fiction in the novel. This study uses a method that is Pictur Picture and Picture and Picture Learning model is a learning method that uses images and paired or sorted into a logical sequence. Learning is characterized Active, Innovative, Creative, and Fun. Learning Model relies images as a medium of learning. These images become a major factor in the learning process. In pulling teaching of writing fiction in the novel, the author tried to examine the learning method and Pictur Picture.

Abstract

Background of this research was student do not pay attention to politeness anymore. Each of them just showed their emotions rather than etiquette in language. Moreover, the main key of etiquette is can communicate properly to the hearer and behave politely while discussion is going on. Interruption is permitted in discussion if students are aware of etiquette behavior. Purpose of this research was: (1) to describe the form of polite and impolite utterance in discussion activity based on student politeness principal active years 2016, 3 – years diploma of Solok Nursing Program Study Health Ministry Padang, and (2) to describe the politeness and impoliteness language sign. Type of this research was qualitative research by using descriptive method. There was no change in data of this research to make any symptoms or any certain aspect appear. Techniques of collecting data were: (1) observation and recording, and (2) field record. Data analyzing was conducted by using observation, recording and interview techniques. This stage would show the result of realization in politeness of language and also the deviation form of maxim politeness. There were 15 cooperative principles by Leech, 6 utterances were categorized as tact maxim, 4 utterances were categorized as generosity maxim, 3 utterances were categorized as approbation maxim, and 2 utterances were categorized as agreement maxim.
