Dinamika Pendidikan (p-ISSN 1907-3720, e-ISSN 2502-5074) is a scientific periodical published by the Department of Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang collaborate with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidik Ekonomi Indonesia (ASPROPENDO), Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Akuntansi Indonesia (APRODIKSI), Asosiasi Sarjana dan Praktisi Administrasi Perkantoran Indonesia (ASPAPI) with the aim to promote creativity scholarly or academic lecturers from various institutions in general and the community UNNES internal academic specifically. The article published scientific literature contains research results, conceptually as well as reviews of books in the field of economic education, accounting education, and educational administration offices. First published in 2006, published in a year, June and December. Dinamika Pendidikan has become a CrossRef member with DOI prefix: 10.15294. Therefore, all articles published by the journal have unique DOI number. The journal has been also accredited for five years based on The Decree of Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 48a/E/KPT/2017, dated on October 30th, 2017.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students’ soft skills on entrepreneurship subject by using experiential learning model. It was expected that the learning model could upgrade students’ soft skills which were indicated by the higher confidence, result and job oriented, being courageous to take risks, leadership, originality, and future-oriented. It was a class action research using Kemmis and Mc Tagart’s design model. The research was conducted for two cycles. The subject of the study was economics education students in the year of 2015/2016.  Findings show that the experiential learning model could improve students’ soft skills. The research showed that there is increased at the dimension of confidence by 52.1%, result-oriented by 22.9%, being courageous to take risks by 10.4%, leadership by 12.5%, originality by 10.4%, and future-oriented by 18.8%. It could be concluded that the experiential learning model is effective model to improve students’ soft skills on entrepreneurship subject. Dimension of confidence has the highest rise. Students’ soft skills are shaped through the continuous stimulus when they get involved at the implementation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Competency and Conservation Based Curriculum in order to improve the quality of graduates of Economics Faculty of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The goal of this study was to provide information, policy,  and recommendations to improve the quality of graduates based on lectures behavior. The respondents of this research were lecturers of Faculty of Economics. Research data were collected by using questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistical multiple linear regression were employed to analyze data. This study provided empirical support that lecturers’ ability and commitment positively contributed to the implementation of Competency and Conservation Based Curriculum to improve the quality of graduates to be competence and conservation-minded. This study also proved that while lecturers’ ability and commitment play an important role, their commitments do not affect the implementation of Competency and Conservation Based Curriculum. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that lecturers’ ability to implement the Competency and Conservation Based Curriculum needs to be improved. Workshops and training should be given to lecturers in order to help them to create learning apparatus such as syllabus, lesson plans and teaching materials, as well as the evaluation of Competency and Conservation Based Curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and investigate the extent in which the implementation of Continuing Professional Development of Economics Teachers at State Senior High Schools in Semarang; barriers in implementing this program; and challenges in the futures when applying this program. This study was a descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Sample was 27 economics teachers in Semarang. Findings show that personal development by individual teacher and group of teachers in the teacher’s association are more likely to be performed than personal development at a peer group. The major problem in this continuous development is the strict teaching hour. Moreover, the key challenges in the improvement of teaching profession are the way to optimize the role of teachers’ association and the availability of information technology in aiming sustainable professional development.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the difference of students’ learning outcomes between STAD cooperative learning model and discussion model on economics subjects. This research was conducted at class X Senior High School 1 in Surabaya. It was an experimental study using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The total numbers of students were 140 students. Samples were taken by using purposive random sampling technique. 69 students were analyzed as sample. They were divided into two classes. One class was as a control class (X IPS3) with 35 students and another was as experimental class (X IPS1) with 34 students. Collecting data used post test and pre test. Findings show that there are differences on students’ learning outcomes significantly between STAD cooperative learning model (experimental class) and discussion (control class) on economics subjects. It is proven by the results of the calculation of the Z test was greater than 0.05 (4.679 > 0.05), hypothesis is accepted and the mean score at experimental class is higher than the control class (82.29 > 74.03). Thus; the implementation of STAD method gives good influence on students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of entrepreneurship subject on students’ interest in entrepreneurship at Institute of Mathaliul Falah (IPMAFA) in Pati by hidden curriculum as intervening variable. The research used WarpsPls analysis to test model directly and directly. Samples of the study were 30 Islamic banking students who got entrepreneurship subject and Islamic community development who did not get the entrepreneurship subject. Findings show that the entrepreneurship subject influences students’ interest in entrepreneurship and the second model test results showed that hidden curriculum is not able to become the intervening variable for students’ interest in entrepreneurship subject on students’ interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students’ learning achievement. 32 students of grade X at Snior High School 2 Semarang were treated by classroom action research from May until June 2011. The research consisted of 2 cycles covering 4 stages, namely; planning, acting, observing and reflecting. It used cooperative learning strategy and descriptive analysis technique to compare observation result and reflection in each cycle. Findings show that cooperative learning methods can increase classically the learning mastery at grade X-8 by 75% in the first cycle with the average score is 70.22 and by 100% in the second cycle with the average score is 79.72.Then, it can be concluded that cooperative learning strategy by the learning CD can improve the cooperation, positive attitude, giving opinion and encourage students take parts in the fun atmosphere of learning process. Therefore, the strategy can improve learning outcomes on Economics in the Material of Consumption and Saving Functions.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media video based on swishmax dan screencast o-matic software through contextual approach. The study used ADDIE development model which consisted of five stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Before using the learning video media, firstly it was tested by media experts and subject experts. Then; it needed students’ feedback by using questionnaires about the media. The results of the experts and students’ questionnaires show that the media is very good and feasible to be used. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed by t-test. The mean score of experimental class is 85.03; whereas the mean score of control class is only 79.00. By using t test scores, its score is 3.30 and more than 1.997; then Ho is rejected. Therefore; it can be concluded that learning by using the learning video media based swishmax and screencast o-matic software through the contextual approach is better than the conventional teaching on Organizational Behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to know the student’s lifestyle whether it is influenced by education that has been accepted in family or their financial literacy. Samples were 334 out of 2040 students of Indraprasta PGRI University, Jakarta. Technique of data analysis used path analysis. Findings show that 60.78% of students are in the middle category for economic education in family, 47% of students are in the high category for financial literacy and 58% of students have a high lifestyle. Economic education influences the lifestyle by 6.4% and financial literacy affects on lifestyle by 3.7%. The influence of family education through financial literacy toward lifestyle is 1.9%. Therefore, it can be concluded that financial literacy does not increase the influence of education Economy in family to lifestyle. Then, the results of the research will be used as one of the reference in the application of entrepreneurship lectures.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical evidence of the effectiveness of combining Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning strategies in teaching Investments to improve students’ discipline, creativity, diligence, and participation. Population was students who enrolled in Intermediate Financial Accounting 2 course in Economics Education Department; Economics Faculty of Universitas Negeri Semarang The sample of the research consists of 48 students. Data were collected by using observations, interviews, and documentation. The stages of the research include planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, analysis, and reflection. Findings show that the combination of TAI and NHT does not improve students’ learning outcomes even thought it manages to increase students’ pre-test score in learning Investments as well as their participation in classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to describe planning, implementation, observation and reflection. It evaluates and identifies the constraints and solutions at each cycle and to find out the learning outcomes achieved with scientific approach through the discovery learning model for 2nd grade students at Yunior High School 2 Kudus. It was a descriptive qualitative study. Findings show that the students’ activity is good enough on the first cycle and good on the second cycle. The average mean score of written test is on the first cycles B- and A- on the second cycle. If it is seen from minimum completeness criterion (KKM), there are 19 students with the percentage of acquisition by 55% on the 1st cycle and there are 32 students with the percentage of acquisition by 93% on the 2nd cycle. The observation results show that scientific approach give improvement of students’ activities on the first cycle and the second cycle. The results obtained from the use of scientific approach through the discovery learning model to improve the activity is good, but it needs to be observed continuously on students’ attitudes, skills and knowledge in school life.
