Abstract

The present study examined the correlation between the ability-to-change and level of stress among 71 staffs of DJP (Direktorat Jendral Pajak) with at least has been working for a year as staff at the same organization. Data was collected using The Ability to Change's Scale (Zaccaro In Callarco & Gurvis, 2006) and The Work Stress Scale (Robbins, 1986). We found that the high level ability-to-change within the staffs, has significant effect on the moderate level of work stress they encounter (r = -0,246; p = 0,019). Moreover, using simple regression technique, the result found out that the emotional fexibility has the most significant effect in reducing work stress among 2 other aspects of the ability to change (cognitive and disposition flexibility).

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to test how the career-development was perceived in relation to the level of achievement motivation for personnel in MLM business. Fifty four (54) distributors as respondents which at least have been joined MLM business for 3 months, were assessed using Perception-on- Career Development's and McClelland Achievement Motivation's Scales. The result shows the more positive the distributors have for their career development in MLM business, the higher their level of achievement motivation will be.

Abstract

The present study examines the theoretical model on how Identity status and self-efficacy in decision making process has indirect influences on the level of the indecisiveness for choosing future career in college students during their freshman year.With a sample of 389 respondents of Public University students at Semarang in their freshman year, we analyze the structural equation model using AMOS program version 16.0., which then indicates that the Theoretical Model can explain on how the indecisiveness in choosing future career. Identity status has indirect influence to the level of indecisiveness when the self efficacy for choosing future career is simultaneously measured, The study also explains that the higher the respondents have in self efficacy, the more decisive they are in choosing their future career. Moreover, the results In details shows that achieved Identity status leads to the high level of selfefficacy and diffused Identity status directly influences the lower level of self efficacy in choosing future career whereas the remaining identity status which are moratorium and foreclosure Identity status, both have no Influence on self efficacy for choosing future career.

Abstract

A pre-test post-test-control-group design was administered to examine the effects of entrepreneurship training on entrepreneurship efficacy. 24 university students from 17 - 24 years in age were randomly selected and then divided into 2 as experiment and control groups. -Using Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon techniques for data analysis, the results show that the entrepreneurship training has effectively been proven in enhancing the level of efficacy for entrepreneurship for respondents in late adolescence years. The data demonstrated that the differences in level of efficacy are highly significant before and after the training were administered as well as between the 2 groups prospectively.

Abstract

A qualitative research with case-study design was conducted to explore the implementing of gender equality by the teachers in learning process for 4th to 6th graders at Islamic elementary school. Interviews and observations were administered as tools for data collection. The principal, the teachers and the students were then interviewed and the school environment was observed.Using qualitative coding and the Gender Analysis Pathway (GAP) method to analyze the implementation of gender equality in learning process Indicate the moderate level of gender equality for the teachers.Regardless of their perspectives in seeing boys and girls have the same level of competitiveness as well as the opportunities for success, they treat them differently when assigning tasks in which physical strength are needed to perform such tasks. They assign the girls with the tasks that no need too much physical strength as the controversies for the boys.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to test the fairness evaluation Judgement models by Tyler (1994) in house reconstructions to the earthquake victims. There are six possibilities of model tested. The research hypothesis was: "The fairness evaluation judgement models by Tyler (1994) matched with the collected data ",The research sampled 181 earthquake victims on 27 May 2006 that are randomly sampled. Data obtained by using6 scales, namely resource scale, control scale, appraisal of interactional justice scale, appraisal of distributive justice scale, appraisal of procedural justice scale and appraisal of justice impact scale. The data analysis that used was SEM and computed by AMOS ver 6.o. The result of this research showed that the model that matched with the collected data was saturated justice model. This model explained that the resource motives and relational motives had well balanced infiuences to appraisal of distributive and procedural justice.

Abstract

This current research investigated the possible correlation between risk-taking behavior tendency and entrepreneurship intention. Seventy (70) University students in their senior years were assessed using risk-taking behavior scale and entrepreneurship intention scale. Using The result shows that the tendency in high-risk taking behavior is strongly correlated with entrepreneurship intention, which is the higher the tendency for risk-taking behavior, the stronger its intention for entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Using qualitative approach, the aim of recent study was to explore the domestic violence on women in Jayapura. 500 subject were interviewed (50% from rural area and 50% from urban. The characteristics of the respondents are under 35 years in age, married and live with their own family. The result in general shows that women were sexually violated as well as non-sexually and the abusers are the ones who have been known by the victim. Moreover, this research also found out how the victims' responses to the assault. They tend to remain silence or running away. They did try to look for help but no significant defenses had been done against the abusers so far by the victims. Women from lower soda/ status which mostly from rural area reported the domestic violence they had been encountered to their family whilst ones from middle social status and mostly live in urban area reported the assault to the police or public authority.
