Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) to improve reading comprehension ability for students of classes V Elementary School. The hypothesis of this study was difference in change ability reading of comprehension stage for fifth grade students Elementary School with the teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and that does not use teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The subjects were fifth grade students amount 29 students, 14 of control group students and 15 of experimental group student. Data analysis technique using Mann Whitney U test. the result obtained the value of U = 98.5, greater than a = 0.05 it can be concluded that Ho is accepted. It was concluded that there was no difference in change ability reading of comprehension stage for fifth grade students Elementary School with the teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and that does not use teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Keywords: Ability of Reading Comprehension, Learning Method Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC), Student Class V

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the contribution of spiritual leadership toward affective commitment through the mediating of spirituality at work. Participants were 73 (N=73) employee of Syariah Bank in Yogyakarta. Cluster random sampling is used as the sampling technique. Instrument of data collection in this study is using a scale of spiritual leadership, a scale of affective commitment and a scale of spirituality at work. The method of data analysis using a path analysis developed from regression analysis. The result of path analysis indicate that the indirect effect was significant (p2 0.226 x p3 0.772 = 0.175) with significance level p=0.000 (p<0.05), and direct effect of 0.553 with significance level p=0.000 (p<0.05). Therefore total effect is direct effect that is added to indirect effect of 0.175 + 0.553 = 0.728 (72.8%) with significance level p=0.000 (p<0.05). This means that hypotheses was accepted, there is influence spiritual leadership toward affective commitment through spirituality at work on employee syariah bank, in which the higher spiritual leadership exist, than will improve affective commitment through spirituality at work that also higher. Furthermore there are 27.2% of the affective commitment are affected by another variable besides spiritual leadership and spirituality at work. Keywords: Affective Commitment, Spiritual Leadership, Spirituality at work, Path Analysis.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find whether there's relationship between academic self-efficacy and shabr, as well as its supporting aspects. Participants were 108 undergraduate students. The instruments used were adapted version of College Questionnaire Academic Self-efficacy (Owen & Froman, 1988) and Shabr questionnaire (El Hafi, Rozi, & Mundzir, 2013). Data were analyzed with Pearson correlation. Results showed that there's significant correlation between shabr and academic self-efficacy. This finding can contribute to shabr theory construction and enhance comprehensive understanding about shabr among the community. Keywords: Academic self-efficacy, shabr, student

Abstract

 System Applications and Products (SAP) is system of information that integreting and involving many fungtions. Many organizations use SAP in Indonesian, but some of people don't know about the system. This research measured impact of organizational commitment and organizational culture on knowledge management in SAP company. The participant of this study is 32 employees that including 2 companies in Yogyakarta that using SAP. Research used quantitative approach with the help of multiple regression analysis to show impact of organizational culture and organizational commitment on knowledge management. The result showed organizational culture and organizational commitment giving impact to knowledge management (p=0.007, p<0.05; R=0.287, R=28.7%). So, hipothesis of this research is received, that there is impact of organizational culture and organizational commitment on knowledge management in company that using SAP. Keywords: Knowledge management (KM), Organizational Culture, Organizational Commitment, SystemApplication and Product (SAP).

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain empirical data about corelation between Islamic religious commitment with self concept and self regulation. Moreover, the aim of this study to obtain empirical description of the Islamic religious commitment with its dimensions wich impact the self concept and self regulation of addicted indiviuals with tendencies to relapse. The method used by this study was causal comparative modeling technique which processed using multiple regression techniques. The Subject of this study is 30 addicted individual with intensive rehabilitation program. Measuring instrument used were questionnaires compiled Islamic religious commitment based on the three basic teaching of Islam, Fits's (1971) self concept and modified Zimmerman's self regulation (2000). Result from this study shows that Islamic religious commitment with its dimension has a significant relation with self concept (a 0.627) and (a 0.782) with self regulation,and has influence together on self concept by 0.41% and on self regulation by 62.1%.Keywords: Islamic Religious Commitment, Self Concept, Self Regulation, Addicted, Relapse

Abstract

This study attempt to search the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment of the café employees. The hypotesis tested which based on the assumption that higer transformational leadership was correlated with higer organizational commitment. A subject of 58 employees were selected for this study. Employees included server, production, managers. Data were collected by the Transformational Leadership Questionare based aspects proposed by Bass (1990) and a=0,879 Organizational Commitment Questionare was modificaton from Allen and Meyer (1990) and a=0,884. This study analysis used Product moment correlation by Pearson. The analysis showed that there is significant relationship between transformasional leadership and organizational commitment p=0.004 (p<0.05). Result showed in an increasing the transformational leadership then increasing organizational commitment the employee to work. This is important to increase productivity an efficiency in an organization. Abstract

This study aims to identify the correlation between sense of humor and employes job stress. This research involved 52 employes in The First Class of Agricultural Quarantine, Semarang, Central Java. Job stress scale and sense of humor scale were used to collect the data and the result was analyzed using the product moment correlation that was calculated by SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results showed that there were a significant relationship between sense of humor and job stress with a correlation coefficient r = -0.423 at significance level (p) 0.002 (p < 0.01). The higer individual sense of humor level, the lower employee job stress level and vice versa. Sense of humor give effective contribution of 17.90% to employee job stress. This result will be discussed further in this paper. Keywords: Job Stress, Sense of Humor

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the correlation of spritual intteligence and job stress in nurse. This hypothesis posed in this study were there is a negative correlation between spiritual intelligence and job stress. The subject of this study were nurse of emergency and inpatient unit at the hospital in Klaten, totaling 101 people. Data were collected by using spiritual intelligence and job stress scale. The data is was then statistically analyzed using Pearson product moment analysis with SPSS SPSS version 15.0 for windows. The analysis found correlation coefficient of (r-xy) = -0.315, p = 0.001 (p <0.01), the determinant coefficient r2 = 0.099, indicates that the effective contribution of spiritual intelligence to job stress by 9.9%. Base on the analyse can be concluded that there was a significant negative correlation between spiritual intelligence with work stress on nurses. These results illustrate that the higher spiritual intelligence, the lower the stress of work. Conversely the lower the higher spiritual intelligence stress of work or hypothesis is accepted Keywords: Spritual Intteligence, Job stress, Nurse

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of job demands, job resources and work engagement among dual career women. The hypotheses to be tested was : 1 ) there is correlation between job demands and work engagement among dual career women, 2) there is correlation between job resources and work engagement among dual career women, 3) there is moderating effect from job resources at the correlation between job demand and work engagement among dual career women. This tudy engaged 62 woman employee, which have characteristics as married and have been working for minimum 1 years. Job demands and job resources scales are applied at this study, together with the adaptation of Utrecth Work Engagement Scale (UWES). The analysis showed that :1) job demands is not correlated with work engagement, 2) job resources is correlated with work engagement.
