Abstract

Sellulose material such as cotton, linen, ramie and viscose rayon fabrics along with a cotton/linen blend were hydrolyzed with cellulase from trichoderma viride. Surface fibrils were eliminated by 6 hour treatment in all cases. The loss of fibrillar matter appeared to be the primary cause of weight loss at this stage. On prolonged treatment, cotton, lines, and viscose rayon lost weight at a faster rate than ramie and the cotton/linen blend. The fall in yarn strength was progressive with increasing weight loss for cotton and viscose, while for linen and ramie it was slight initially and then increased sharply. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan uji validasi model ergonomi tentang waktu pergerakan kerja untuk mengukur produktivitas dan kualitas kerja. Model ini dikembangkan berdasarkan interaksi antara parameter-parameter postur kerja, masa beban dan dimensi tempat kerja. Ekseperimen dilakukan untuk mensimulasikan aktivitas pengangkatan beban dengan melibatkan pekerja yang berusia diantara 21 hingga 25 tahun. Pekerja tersebut diinstruksikan untuk mengangkat tiga masa beban yang berbeda yaitu 2 kilogram, 6 kilogram dan 10 kilogram ke atas meja kerja dengan tinggi masing-masing 55 cm dan 76 cm dengan menggunakan dua postur pengangkatan, postur membungkuk (Stooping) dan postur berjongkok (Squating). Aktivitas pengangkatan ini direkam dengan menggunakan handycam dan kalibrasi dilakukan untuk menentukan skala gambar terhadap benda nyata. Uji statistik t digunakan untuk menguji kesahihan model. Hasil uji ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang siginifikan antara waktu pergerakan nyata dengan waktu pergerakan yang ditentukan dengan model. Dengan demikian model yang dikembangkan adalah valid pada tingkat signifikansi 1%, 5% dan 10% sehingga model dapat diaplikasikan. Kata kunci: produktivitas dan kualitas kerja, waktu pergerakan, postur kerja,  model ergonomi.

Abstract

Digital picture development is picture processing using digital computer in order to get different  picture or another picture which suits with the needs.  One example of picture development is mask lighting effect with linear addition method.  The main principle of linear addition method is by adding intensity to every pixel colour by adding every pixel with a variable.  This paper focuses on the implementation of linear addition method to give lighting effect on picture. Keywords : mask lighting, linear addition, pixel.

Abstract

During the design process, there still many industries use conventional system which can not completely accommodate the need of information. That’s why we need a system that can accommodate the necessity of designer and also end product user.Until now, what computer does in design process is only use as drawing tools. While the other vital functions like attribute geometric data and attribute non-geometric data is not use. This researcht is discussed about the design of patient’s bed in the hospital by using CAD, we hope that by using Attribute Extraction Method in CAD, we can get ergonomic design, Bill of  Materials Poduct , Component of Draw Template, Supplier of the Basis Geometric Data and also to design animation’s product. So that, the experiment’s result can easier the machine process design and also the management supply of materials need.Keywords: product design, attribute extraction, bill of materials.

Abstract

In practice, most inventory system accommodate more than one type of item.Under this situation the analysis of inventory problem is approached by treating each type of item independently.The problem becomes complicated when constrains are imposed in inventory system.Constrains normally arise because scarce of resources exist such as capital,storage space, and equipment capacities. This paper considered a multi item inventory system with 2 constrains: working capital  and storage space restrictions.The Lagrangian method and The LIMIT technique  is utilized to obtain optimal order quantity solution for constraining conditions.While The Lagrangian method transforms a constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained  problem for higher dimension,The LIMIT Technique determines the relation of agggregate EOQ requirements to the limited resource available and revises all the lot sizes by the same proportion to bring the aggregate EOQ resources requirements within the limit. A case study of a multi item inventory system with constrains at PD Taru Martani Yogyakarta has been presented in this paper.   Keywords : multi item inventory system, constrains, the Lagrangian method, the LIMIT technique, optimal (economic) order quantity.

Abstract

The paper reports an experiment to produce  polyvinyl chloride (PVC) using local (from Gunung Kidul) and imported (from Taiwan) CaCO3. The laboratory test shows that PVC produced using Taiwanese CaCO3 is superior over that using local CaCO3 in terms of its flexibity.  Hence, it is not recommended to use local CaCO3 producing PVC-based products that requires high flexibility such as water pipe, cable isolator. On the other hand, the local PVC may be used to produce, for instance,  blinds and compressor.  Keywords: PVC, local CaCO3  , imported CaCO3

Abstract

This paper describes an integrated tourism information system developed using web-service technology. In order to give a clear picture of multi-tier system used for developing web-services, two cases (“WisataBudayaJawa web-service” for giving recommendations for users to select tourism objects to visit in the areas of the Province of Central Java and the Province of Yogyakarta; and “Kurs web-service” for delivering information on foreign currency exchange rate) are presented. The results of the study show that web-service enable to simplify operations conducted by a programmer in inputing and gathering outputs.
