Abstract

At this time it has been a lot of research on natural fibers were used as material for textiles. Therefore, the researchers wanted to generate natural material-based medical textile. The objectives and targets will be achieved from this research, is utilizing waste stem of banana post harvest into something more valuable as well as making modeling results done. The research results from this banana trunk fiber as material for the manufacture of baby diapers are environmentally friendly and have a high absorbent against water. This research was conducted with the experimental method to generate optimal achievement, namely by doing the processing post harvest banana stems. The first stage is looking for post harvest banana stems which are usually discarded. The next step is extracting stem of banana leaf into tow fiber, tow fiber processing became the staple through the process of relaxing, washing, cutting and opening. And the end result will be either web (non woven fiber) which will be in the laboratory test on humidity, power and fiber dimensions. Then make the modeling of laboratory test results. From the results of the experiment, the value will be in the predictions is the numeric data. This is usually made as a reference or basis for making the modeling that can predict. The prediction are more focus on the identification of trend of the distribution on the test data generated

Abstract

In recent years, students prefer to use mobile devices more frequently than desktop, when accessing information. Klasiber is a name of e-learning used in Islamic University of Indonesia (UII). So far, to access Klasiber, students on UII prefer to use desktop. Indeed, information architecture of Klasiber is designed only to accomodate desktop users. Questions of the research that appears from these problems are: How Klasiber be transformed so it can be accessed optimally using mobile devices. Second question is: How Klasiber adopts the responsive web design (RWD) to accommodate the variety of devices. In this paper, we developed prototypes of the new Klasiber based on RWD. Prototypes are developed as comparison with the previous Klasiber. Effectiveness of prototypes being developed is tested by using usability testing. The usability testing is designed based on Norman's emotional framework.

Abstract

Bomb is an object with high destructive power. Today the bomb threat in Indonesia are common. Research earlier bomb squad robot has a weakness in the design of wireless communication and video viewer. This study tries to design a prototype robot bomb disposal by using IP cameras and wireless communication using a WIZnet based microcontroller interface ATMega8535. Video is displayed with MJPEG viewer designed using Visual Basic. The movement of the robot is set using the buttons on the monitoring software that is integrated with MJPEG viewer. From the test results obtained prototype robot can move in accordance with the existing arrangements on the monitoring system by using MJPEG as robot navigation. Robots also managed to pick up objects using a gripper simulated bomb and put it into a simulated bombing. In this study used camera is a camera that is found on android phone because of limited funds. The future can use the integrated camera with IP addressing

Abstract

Competitive advantage is the keyword for Small Medium Enterprise (SME) to survive. One of the effort that could be conducted by the SMEs is doing temporary cooperation. The SMEs would arrange work contract hence all of the SMEs could work in same corridor. Development of Information Technology (IT) will support such cooperation and the SMEs would form a Virtual Organisation (VO). In VO, the management is called as meta-management, that contained several actions to coordinate all of the SMEs in the VO. Technically, the meta-management contained basic activities including analysing and tracing prerequisites, allocating requirements fulfilment and adjusting optimum criteria for every UKM. In term of management control, it requires a tool to measure success of the meta-management so that strategic actions could be arranged for future improvement. This paper presents the use of Fuzzy Logic (FL) to measure success of a meta- management. The success itself is measured based on the three aspects explained above, and the proposed FL is used to model uncertainties in every aspect. A numerical example from previous research is taken to show how the proposed method works.

Abstract

Research discusses one of the files system in the operating Linux system, which Ext4 (Extended Fourth) which is a continuation of the Ext2 and Ext3. The method used in this study is the forensic investigation is to collect, maintain, and analyze. This study was conducted with a simulation file. Results from this study is a file can be known when the file is created to be modified. This study also uses some Linux default tool nor a forensic tool.

Abstract

One of the success factor for hatching egg was egg turning on home made egg hatcher classification. These were average four egg turnings needed to hatching egg during 70% days of hatching times. For egg turning, if conducted one by one, there were opportunities off falling off, moreover leads to failure and longer period of time. Using hollistic approach on egg turning, that were added on egg turning tools, the egg turning can be done as whole series in less than two seconds.

Abstract

Dua is one of the most important praying in Islam. It's such an obligatory for each moslem to perform dua before and after doing activities. Since there are many kinds of dua in Islam (e.g. dua before and after eating, dua before sleep and when wake up in the morning, dua before studying, etc), it is important for moslem to learn dua in early childhood education.  Kemendiknas RI (The Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia) have published a policy which states that  dua is a compulsory subject  in early childhood education. Herlina et al (2014) found that learning dua will be more effective by practicing it in daily life activities. This paper discuss about enacting Digital Game Based Learning (DGBL) to improve the learning method  to help students in early chidlhood education to learn dua. DGBL method is applied by developing a digital story telling application using Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating  (ADDIE) model. This application provides stories which give information about dua in student's daily life activities.

Abstract

In a mass production system, work stationsare designed base on the production process flow. This layout is called flowshop. The advantage of flowshoplays on it simple material flow. Therefore, the material transportation time can be minimized and the total production time is shortened respectively. Generally, flowshop scheduling applies Johnson algorithm, Campbell, Dudek and Smith (CDS). Nevertheless, those algorithms are just an approach. Therefore it can’t provide an optimal solution. This article explain the flexible flowshop scheduling with Mixed Integer Programming (MIP). Every parts type scheduled will not enter the same work station and some work station are served manually by an operator that leads to a dynamics process time. Simulation is applied to estimate the process time in those work station. A case study is utilize for this purpose. The makespan of the proposed model exhibits a 14 minutes shorter that the initial time.

Abstract

The use of sweet star fruit juice (Averrhoa carambola L.) as a nutraceutical product that contains vitamins A and C are still relatively rare. This research aims to produce dosage gummy candies that can be consumed by the public in a practical and healthy. Gummy candies preparation was made in 5 formulations based on variations in the levels of gelatin as a binder with a ratio of 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5%, 20%. Manufacture of sweet star fruit juice using freeze drying method is performed on the resulting fruit juice. After the sweet star fruit juice formed organoleptic test. Testing the physical properties of gummy candies include organoleptic test, test and test weight uniformity preference level (hedonic test) by the respondent and then the results were compared with the requirements in the literature. Sweet star fruit juice may be formulated into a good nutraceutical product in dosage form gummy candies. Preparations gummy candies sweet star fruit juice produced has met the requirements of a good tablet physical properties, obtained by the coefficient of variation in test weight uniformity to formula 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, ie 6.40%, 6.37%, 3.65%, 8.93% and 3.77%. Based on the results of organoleptic test, it can be concluded that the formula 3 has the best texture. The test results based preference level (hedonic test), it is known that the formula 3 and 4 preferred/received by the respondents.
