Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (IKESMA) menerbitkan artikel penelitian di bidang kesehatan masyarakat dengan topik kajian: administrasi dan kebijakan kesehatan, kesehatan lingkungan, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, gizi masyarakat, epidemiologi, promosi. kesehatan dan ilmu perilaku, kesehatan ibu dan anak, kesehatan reproduksi, biostatistika, sistem informasi kesehatan, dan demografi/kependudukan. Pada Bulan Agustus 2020, Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (IKESMA) memulai kolaborasi dengan Perhimpunan Sarjana dan Profesional Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (PERSAKMI) untuk penerbitan jurnal. Sejak tahun 2022, Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (IKESMA) meningkatkan frekuensi terbitan menjadi 4 kali dalam satu tahun (Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember).

Abstract

Adolescent marked with the unbalance physical and mental growth whih is followed by behaviorally trying something into sex before marriage, they have earned. this avidence with persistence of students in SMPN 1 Talang Empat who do premarital sexual behavior deviations. Purpose of this study was to determinan the factors associated with adolescent premarital sexual behavior. This research uses with cross sectional method with the amountof samples taken by stratified random sampling technique were 105 responder consisting of students of class IX in SMPN 1 Talang Empat. Research was conducted on 22-30 january 2014, data retrieval using questionnaires and analysis of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. At bivariate analysis found that have significant relations at knowledge( =0,029), family envirovment =0,002), influence of peers ( =0,005), and media exposure ( =0,000) with adolescent premarital sexual bahavior. At multivariate analysis found that information media exposure variable is the most dominant factor influencing adolescent premarital sexual behavior with OR = 8,610. Advice to SMPN 1 Talang Empat besides imposing a ban on the students to bring mobile phones in schools, shuold also routinelyconduct raids handphones (1-2times/month), and the teachers works together with parents in providing information and effective communication in adolescents especially with regard to sexual.Keyword: Knowledge, Family Environment, Influence of Peers, Premarital Sexual Behavior.

Abstract

According to international demographic data from the Bureau of the Census, USA in 1993, the increase in the number of elderly Indonesia between the years 1990 to 2025 reached 414%, the highest in the world. The rapid increase was related to the life expectancy of the population of Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the various factors of healthy practices in influencing mental health in the elderly and examines the factors which contributed to the biggest and the smallest to the mental health of the elderly in Lumajang. This study uses analytic research with quantitative approach. The samples in this study using a multistage random sampling technique, carried out in urban, sub-urban and rural with a sample of 378 respondents. Location by dividing into three areas, namely urban (sub-district Puskesmas Labruk-Lumajang,) sub urban (sub-district Puskesmas Tekung-Tekung) and rural (Puskesmas Padang-Padang District). Data collection using structured interviews, and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis. All variables affect the healthy practice of mental health in the elderly significantly (p <α). The highest contributor indetermining the healthy mental aspect is able to solve complex problemswhile the lowest contributors are recreation periodically. To be able to obtain a good healthy status, it is necessary to be a lifestyle practice recreationperiodically and efforts to retain the memory of the way the brain vitalization gymnastics as necessary for the elderly in supporting mental healthKeyword: healthy practices, mental health , elderly

Abstract

Self-care management is essential for maintaining blood glucose control so that the complications of diabetes mellitus can be prevented. Coping skills are needed to overcome obstacles in self-care. This study aimed to identify the effect of coping strategy training on self-care management in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The design of study was a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population was patients with type 2 diabetes in the area of Public Health Center of Jember Kidul. The sampling technique was purposive sampling involving 20 respondents which were divided into 10 respondents as the intervention group and 10 respondents as the control group. The training was conducted once by providing education about diabetes self-care and stress management. Self-care management was measured by using the Summary of Diabetes Self-care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire. The data were analyzed by Wilcoxon, t dependent, and Mann-Whitney test (α = 0.05). The result revealed a significant increase in the average value of self-care in the intervention group after coping strategy training (p: 0.008) and there was no difference between pretest and posttest in the control group (p: 0.197). Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference of self-care betweenthe intervention group and control group after the intervention (p = 0.000). It can be concluded that there was a significant effect of coping strategy training on self-care management in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Coping strategy training can be applied to improve self-care management in diabetic patients.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, self-care management, coping strategy training

Abstract

Social skills closely related to the performance results obtained. Developing others, is an indicator of social skills. Developing others is an effort to understand the needs of others to flourish and help them to improve. A midwife is expected to have the ability developing others in fulfilling its performance in providing services to pregnant women, particularly inprograms providing Fe tablet. This study was conducted by using cross sectional approach. The population in this study is the center midwife who numbered 281, spread over 62 centers of primary health care in the city of Surabaya. While the sample in this study was 65 midwives. The data collection is done with reference to field research by direct interviewusing a questionnaire method, and the method of observation. The data analysis was conducted on the univariable descriptive analysis with cross bivariable cross tabulation, and analysis techniques Ordinal Logistic Regression. Most of the midwives at the health center of Surabaya has competence developing others in the levels were very good and had a goodperformance in the activity of granting Fe tablets to pregnant women at health centers. Among developing others with the performance of midwives have a close relationship. The better the developing others owned midwife, the better the performance of the resulting outcomes.Keyword: Developing others, Midwives Performance, Fe Tablet, Pregnant Mother

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) is one of the most common causes of death in children of developing countries. The cause of ARI include home building materials made of asbestos, has a floor with a thickness of less than 20cm and has a floor area of less than 10% of the floor area. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of physical condition to Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) at public health centers in the region of the northern town of Kediri. This study was an analytic study with cross-sectional approach. There were 102 samples on society at public health centers in the region of the northern town of Kediri, and use simple random sampling. The independent variable is the building constructures, thetype of floor, and size of ventilation, while the dependent variable was the incident of Acute Respiratory Infection. Data were analyzed by logistic regression.The results showed that, p value = 0,000 <α =0,05, so there is physical condition home has affected the occurrence ARI. While the most dominant factor of the three factors is size of ventilation where the value ofExp (B) 0,014 more than the other two factors, are building contructure where the value Exp (B) 0,012 and the type of floor where the value Exp (B) 0,010.The majority of respondents suffering from ARI and most the of respondent have a home ventilation that does not qualify, therefore people should pay more attention to the ventilation of their homes so spacioushome ventilation of at least 10 % of their floor area.Keywords: Acute Respiratory Infection, Building Material, Floor, Ventilation

Abstract

Jember is one of the districts with high MMR (102/100.000 live births) and IMR (23/1000 live births) at 2015 in East Java. This indicates that the service utilization Antenatal Care (ANC) in the existing health care facilities in Jember still not optimal. Most of the causes of health care utilization that occurred in the community affected by the behavior of the model of society in choosing and utilizing the health service. Identify the distribution of respondents' knowledge and attitudes about the MCH services. The study is a descriptive observational study with cross sectional design. The unit of analysis of this study is the entire women who have earned MCH services, with a sample of 29 respondents. Respondents assess the health services provided are good (96.6%), whereas the components of MCH services, materials and medicine, counseling, care of infants and toddlers and the availability of staff each got a good assessment of 96.6%, laboratory services and physical facilities laboratory respectively 65.5% and 69%. In the knowledge about the treatment of infants, children and infants, respondents is low include the treatment itself against infant diarrhea (69%) and supplementary feeding after 6 months (72.4%).Keywords: cognitive, affective, management, MCH services

Abstract

Jember as a regional center for agriculture and plantations in East Java has a population with considerable professional farmers. Health insurance for farmers is indispensable as by the implementation of a national health insurance program as of 1 January 2014. The problem that arises was that the number of informal sector workers (including farmers not PBI) which register was still very little. Therefore, it was necessary to study on theeffectiveness of the program socialization JKN on knowledge and attitudes of family farmers. This type of research wasa descriptive observational where researchers conducted interviews and questionnaires as well as performing measurements on several variables being studied without the intervention of the research object. This study was conducted in three (3)districts which have a number of farming households highest in Jember, in August 2015. The variables in the research was the respondents' knowledge, attitude, and information source.The results showed that only 40 respondents (45.4%) had knowledge of the health insurance program. Of the 40 respondents, only 20% were aware of how the mechanism ofregistration, 22.5% know the mechanism of payment, and 20% know how to take advantage of health services in the health insurance program. Sources of information that most (52.5%) are in the vicinity (word of mouth). The attitude of the majority of respondents rejected thehealth insurance program participants (68.9%).the socialization of the health insurance program as part of a policy of running less effective communication, especially in the aspect of the transmission, clarity, and consistency.Keywords: socialization, participation, health insurance.

Abstract

Increase in the human population and the state of the economy more advanced, giving impact public awareness of health increase. Increasing visitors in the hospital, so the hospital have to increase the facilities to existing and improve the quality of services given. These are aiming that the patients will be served rapidly and well. Purpose of this research is to analyze increasing trend the number of patient visits in terms of marketing mix done Hospital HVA Toeloengredjo, Pare. This research using design descriptive research by analysis time series using moving average with a model ARIMA. Observational research methodology, with the subject is the medical record and marketing officer, as well as its object is the data on thenumber of patient visits new and old patient. The results of testing model got that model ARIMA (1,1,0) is a model that can be used to do a forecast or estimate of. The prediction of visitors keeps increasing, where predictions the number of visits all patients during 60th month (December 2016) is 10746 visits, the prediction of the number of patient visits new is 1660 visits, the prediction of the number of patient visits long been 9290 visits. With the results of the number of a prediction patient visits that rises this, is expected to help hospital for prepared an increase in-patient room facilities, free wifi in waiting room to add comfort visitors, prime service, the addition of medical equipment, extension worker medical or so far and also resources support to create customers satisfied who come to the Hospital HVA Toeloengredjo, Pare.Keywords : Marketing Mix, Time Series, Visit
