Abstract

Welding is a joining technique in production process which weld two metals or more using heat energy Physical property near welding zone changes in microstructure, deformation and thermal stress in order to minimize a negative effects, it is required a correct procedure in welding, selection of optimum welding current and heat input. Welding joint in steel countruction or pressure vessel has to fullfill the welding standard such as, high stress property 27 joule for temperature – 50oC and 100 joule for 0oC. The aim of this research is to investigate the Effect of variation in welding current, welding speed and heat input on microstructure of main metal and HAZ. Experimental work is done using optic microscope, hardness test and univercal machine. The purpose of the research is to obtain optimum welding parameter related which micro structure and mechanical properties of weld metal and HAZ. The variation in heat input are 2 kg/mm, 3kg/mm, 4kg/mm. The variation of welding speed are 7 mm/s, 4,7 mm/s and 3,5 mm/s at current of 400 Ampere,mean while at 600 Ampere the variation in welding speed are 10,5mm/s, 7mm/s, 5,25mm/s. The result shaws that microstructure is dominated by ferit size and ferit Widmanstatten. The highest hardness of 164,98 VHN is found at welding zone of specimen A with welding current of 400 Amper, welding speet of 7 mm/s and heat input of 2kg/mm. Tension and yielding stress of 567 and 472 MP occur for specimen A1 with 600 Ampere welding speed of 7 mm/s and heat input of 2kg/mm.

Abstract

Aluminum alloys used in the manufacture of automotive parts, such as piston, wherein the component is fast moving parts, which would have to meet certain physical and mechanical properties such as wear resistance and hardness. To improve the physical and mechanical properties such as wear resistance and hardness in aluminum alloy, then the anodizing process was chosen, because this process will increase the hardness and wear resistance of the metal. The increasing of hardness and wear of the aluminum alloy is due to the aluminum oxide layer formed on the anodizing process.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of electrolyte concentration and time of anodizing process against hardness and wear resistance , as well as the thickness of the oxide film on aluminum alloy as the piston material.The process of anodizing of aluminum alloys performed at different electrolyte concentrations, i.e. 15, 20 and 25% vol. H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) with the addition of 6% wt. H2C2O4 (oxalic acid) at each concentration of sulfuric acid. The length of the anodizing time for each electrolyte concentration of 3, 5 and 7 minutes, while the electric voltage used is 24 volts.From this research, the best results obtained by anodizing using electrolyte 15% vol. H2SO4 + 6% wt. H2C2O4 for 7-minute process that increase the material hardness from 115 to 190 VHN; and the best specific wear ​​(Ws) 7.15 x 10-5 mm2/kg and the thickest oxide layer 83.81 μm.

Abstract

Competition superior product in the future become more and more stringent with the increasing pace of economic development, industrial growth and technological progress. This competition makes each industry should be more careful in formulating policy formulation stratgi. Making the decision to get a superior product that suits your needs and abilities required an accurate and effective decisions so that no one and minimize the loss in terms of cost and time. This study uses the entropy method and elactre II. Research with this method of ranking the results based on the amount of gain dominance resulted in ranking the more partial and sensitive than perangkingan based level. Criterion in this system is the turnover, labor, investment value, the target market, the amount of raw materials and the number of firms in a superior product. This study matches the accuracy of the system reaches 30%.

Abstract

The development in technology, especially in electronic technology. Every technology in many fields of study mostly need electronic device. Even door lock incur-porate electronic technology to junction better.To make electronic key system follow few steps. First, the planning to design electronic and mechanic system of the door lock. Second, design the hardware and drill the PCB, Then assemble the electronic compo-nents. Third, design of the software use algoritm from system. Fourth, flash the assembler program into the IC AT89C51 and set it to hardware, next test the completed system.The result, shows that the system can be applied to the door lock system with time recording access. It uses Real Time Clock (RTC), Line Port Terminal (LPT), IC AT89C51 and handphone siemens M35i as the interface system.

Abstract

The high demand and limited availability meat in the market cause the pricesto be expensive, and increasingly traders that rotten the meat mixinto the fresh meat. To avoidthe risk, people should know the characteristics ofrotten meat and fresh. This research was development of previous research that develops a to olto identification the fresh meat and rotten with RGB color sensor.This research developed a to olto identification fresh meat and rotten using a digital pH meter senso rbased on value of acidic, basic, or neutral. pH meter works based on pH sensor, theg lass electrode. Digital pH meter works by comparing the potential difference at the sensor electrode with Hions at the meat. By using Op-Amp as a voltage amplifier with higher input impedance, then it can be display a signal voltage(mV) that converted to digital format byt he ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) that it can be displayed and read able on the LCD screen.acidic

Abstract

Batik wastewater in the hamlet Mendiro and Sembungan, Village Gulurejo, District LendahKulonProgo Regency is still a problem for batik craftsmen and society. Contamination of well water and river water in the Village Gulurejo due batik effluent, causing adverse health effects and cause a skin disease such asItchingand other skin disorders.The purpose of this IbM program is to increase knowledge about the technology and batik effluent treatment procedures batik so that the quality of effluent discharged to the environment according to the Liquid Waste Quality Batik is valid and does not pollute the environment. To achieve these objectives there should be a batik wastewater treatment equipment that is easy in operation and can be used interchangeably by batik craftsmen. Achieved results or findings is the realization of sewage treatment plants in the form of batik assemblies elektrokoagulan engineering technology with a method that is effective, efficient, easy in operation and requires a power source of120 watts. Wastewater treatment plant that includes batik: batik waste tank capacity of 500 liters; elektrokoagulan tub capacity of 100 liters; 2 bath deposition capacity of 4,000 liters; 3 bath filtration capacity of 6000 liters which includes coral filter media, split and sand & activatedcharcoal.

Abstract

PT. Geo Dipa Energy Dieng unit is one form of industry exploiting geothermal steam(vapor) that uses abrine injection pump. Brine injection pump is a pump for injecting brine into injection wells. Pump using the VC type is the type of pump that has suction and discharge nozzle shead. The problems that always arise in the operation of the brine injection pump shaft is break age of component smade ​​of stainless steel SS420 in are latively short time. This study aims to determine the cause of brine injection pump shaft break age in avery short time.Stages of an alysis performe distesting the chemical composition using spectrometry and EDAX, macrophotoonfracturesurfaces, and microphoto on the area closest to the fracture surface using The results showed that the initial damage occurs precisely in the initial crack. Further more,the crack propagation occurs according to the loading pattern until the ductilet earing occurs before fracture. Generally, the pattern of fracture indicate sinter-crystalline pattern at the beginning of the trans-crystalline cracks and any subsequent stages until fracture occurs. SEMindicate the presence of Cr carbides with elongated patterns that indicatethe cause of fracture. This causes the carbide concentration are as vulnerable tocorrosiveenvironments, so that when the Cl-ions contained in the brine contactaggressively in this area then began collaborating between corrosion and dynamic load causes the initial crack and followed bycrack propagation that very fast into the brittle fracture pattern.

Abstract

This research addressed the issue of the PT. XYZ production line balancing which produces powder and ceramic. The completion time of the production line is important because there are differences in the capacity of the machines, especially on powder machine and press machines. This approach is done by using the Helgeson and Birnie method by considering the activities processing time on the production floor. This method increase Balance Delay of powder process at point 0.3333 and Balance Delay of ceramics process in Press A1 and A2 in the Press is 0.1968 and 0.2185. The level of powder process efficiency is 65.82%, while level of powder process efficiency is in Press A1 is 80.31%. The level of efficiency in the production of ceramics in Press A1 is 74.07%

Abstract

The book is a source of information regarding all aspects of life, especially education. However, low interest in reading among the public is a major issue in education today. Recommendation systems can help recommend the reader to more easily obtain information about the books to be read. Therefore, in this study made an online book recommendation system using Collaborative Filtering. Collaborative Filtering is one of the methods that can be used in making the recommendation system. The results of this study showed that the average value of the MAE (Mean Absolute Error) on trial 1 (1.064) is smaller than 2 trials (1.21), 4 trials (2,474) and test 5 (3.526). This shows that the more the amount of data used and if there is a user who has never rate a, then the resulting system is relatively inaccurate and generate recommendations if using Collaborative Filtering bad.

Abstract

Availability of land plants is the reason why they do not want to plant crops, especially fruits such as guava, kedondong and others, as academics eager to implement and introduce tabulapot plants that need hygienic fruits can be realized. Along with the question, it is necessary for the introduction of increased community participation in meeting the needs of their own fruits the land more hygienic through Research Lecturer Restoration "555 timer IC with Timer part of Viewer In tabulapot plants" and utilize the former cans or buckets of used as media cropping so as to implement the principles of the 3Rs. Technology is one of the breakthroughs that more and more developed by the designers of automated tools as a replacement for the operation of a manual system to an automated system, all work will work automatically with an error rate that can be as small as possible. Besides, the technology is expected to replace automated tool as an object or function of the human actors on each machine. Housing average land trying to take advantage of the narrow yard of his home for growing useful plants, including plants tabulapot, to overcome the problem of narrow land and water provision, which the working principle of a tub of water pumped into the potted plants automatically using a 555 timer IC , with automatic watering tabulapot expected to overcome the above problems from manual to automatic watering.
