Abstract

Armyworm or (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) is one of main pest in plant crop. This pest might cause damage on the leaves and stems and reduce of crop production. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai and Beauveria bassiana have been known as biocontrol agent to this pest. This research was aimed to observe the production time of B. thuringiensis subsp. aizawai toxin, measure the effect of toxin against Be. bassianaconidia, to test the activity of their mixture against S. litura. B. thuringiensis subsp. aizawai was grown on specific medium for B. thuringiensis. Toxin production of the isolate was measured every 4 hours up to 48 hours incubation. Be. bassianawas grown on the white rice medium and its conidia was grown on the Potato Dextrose Agar medium. containing toxin. The activity test was done by spraying them to S. litura larvae. The stasionary phase of B. thuringiensis was obtained at 16 hours incubation and the maximal toxin production at 48 hours.. The highest mortality caused the mixture of toxin thuringiensis and conidia Be. bassiana was 96,7%.Key words: Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai, Beauveria bassiana, toxin, mortality,Spodoptera litura

Abstract

The curriculum is one component that has a strategic role in the education system. Curriculum on International Class Program UNM Faculty of Science, has studied the course material to the students as prospective educators to consider the needs of field-oriented learners, particularly RSBI. The purpose of this study was to: (i) conduct an assessment of ICP Curriculum, State University of Makassar with the Education Unit Level Curriculum RSBI junior in Makassar to know kerelevanannya, (ii) quantify the proportion of material Curriculum Education Unit RSBI junior teaching science in City Makassar contained in the curriculum ICP Faculty of Science, State University of Makassar. This research is ex post facto research with data collection techniques through the study documentation and interviews. Data analysis using matrix method and presented descriptively.The results showed that: (i) curriculum with the curriculum of the UNM Faculty ICP RSBI junior in Makassar is relevant, judging from the number of points of the subject / sub teaching science subject that is in the course materials based on ICP analysis performed relevance, (ii) that contains several courses subject / sub subject science teaching also has a fairly high points, reaching 33.3% in Basic Biology courses, and 31.4% in the high School Physics courses Practicum. Based on the interviews conducted, by the author of the given input to produce university educators with international class to send its students to perform practical field experience in junior RSBI..Key words: ICP Curriculum, Curriculum RSBI, Analysis of Relevance.

Abstract

Diazinon is an organophosphate pesticide used by farmers in increasing agricultural production because its ability to control various pests. Excessive diazinon has potential as a pollutant in the environment. It residues are not soluble in water and difficult degraded. Also diazinon is toxic. This is a fatal effect on non targets body. This research aims to study and test the growth ability Pseudomonas putida strain 071 in medium containing 0.5% diazinon substrate. This study begins with the purification of Pseudomonas putida strain 071 isolates with scratch techniques. The growth ability tested through growth experiments using liquid basal medium containing 0.5% diazinon. Each interval of time, the growth observed using spectrophotometry (A = 620nm).The results obtained that the Pseudomonas putida 071 were able to grow in liquid basal medium containing diazinon. The splitting speed containing diazinon is 0.197 and 0,187 without diazinon. Generation time of Pseudomonas putida 071 use diazinon 5.2 hours and 5.4 hours without diazinon. Pseudomonas putida 071 that grow in liquid basal medium containing diazinon showed that diazinon residues can be used by this bacteria as a growth substrate. This bacteria has potential as pesticide degrading agents that can be used as a biopesticide active ingredients.Key words: Diazinon, Pesticide, Pseudomonas putida.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago with the level of risk of earthquakes is high enough, it is because the Indonesian archipelago was among four (4 ) active tectonic system. Region Minahasa is one of Indonesia is prone gempa. Arsitektur architectural wooden house on stilts, ie construction techniques that use the connection without nails or tools and materials other than wood connector.The purpose of this study was to determine the safety system of earthquake resistant buildings on the home stage of Manado wuloan aspect forms, layout, structure and construction as well as lingkungan. Kajian is done by comparing the descriptive standards and the fact the field. The results of the study stated that the Wuloan including earthquake-resistant houses stage because, of all the main frame of wooden beams Iron, each intertwined beams, the walls of the board it is not easy to crack or break and tested at the origin surrounded by volcanoes and frequent earthquakes.Key words: Main Stage, Wuloan, Earthquake Resistant.

Abstract

A research was done about the using of morings (Moringa oleifera Lamk.) seed dusk in overcoming of coli bacteria on water well. The purpose of this research to know effectiveness of the using morings seed in water preparation. Samplewas taken from water well of lodging which contain coli bacteria that exeed from limit threshold that was >1600 cell/100 ml water. Water well is given treatment with use morings seed dusk that was measured, amount to 0,05 gram,0,1 gram, and 0,15gram. Then morings seed dusk was mixed with little water until have the shape of paste. Paste of morings seed was mixed into 200 ml water, after that water was filtered by gause material. Filtrate was gotten that mixed into 2 liters water and was stired during 15 menits, then keeped quiet during 2hours. Higyenis water was gotten that taken amount to 100 ml for evaluation as bacteriology with metode of Most Probable Number (MPN). The output after the treatment with morings seed dusk at first water well, decrease of bacteria amount limit 1,2 cell/100 ml water. The output of experiment showed that water well was processed with morings seed save to be consumed by peoples.Key words: morings seed (Moringa oleifera Lamk.), coli bacteria, caporite.

Abstract

The research was conducted by taking a sample of 25 pieces of cell phone. Mobile radiation intensity measured electromagnetic waves are receiving phone calls. Measurements were made by placing two headphone in a different room with a range of ± 20 meters. Tool used to measure the intensity of radiation of electromagnetic waves emitted by mobile phone radiation is a measure C32-QX5. Values were collected before phone calls and performed on two conditions after receiving the phone call is a normal condition and the condition of the loudspeaker. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile phones with different brands and types and determine their effects on health.Results showed that all cell phones that have measured the intensity of the radiation was still safe to use because it has an average radiation intensity 6 mW/cm2, which limits the intensity of radiation that can be tolerated by the body is equal to 10 mW/cm2. The use of mobile phones continuously for one hour a day in the ten-year timeframe, estimated the value of the intensity of radiation received by the body tissue will exceed safe limits.Key words: Intensity Radiation, Measures Radiation, Mobile phone and Health Risk

Abstract

This paper discusses the methods of algebraic functions on the settlement limit of indeterminate forms. Limit is a mathematical method used to describe the effect of variable functions move closer to a point on a particular function. The goal is to determine the specific characteristics of the methods of algebraic functions on the settlement limit of indeterminate forms. The methods used is a special method that consists of factoring methods, methods of multiplication herd, and the division with the highest rank method, and the method of L Hopital. By using the methods mentioned above, then we obtain the specific characteristics of the methods of algebraic functions settlement limit on the indeterminate form are 1. Factoring methods: (a) The numerator is the result of squaring the binomial equation of the denominator. Where, (i) If the binomial equation using the difference operation, then its points is positive. (ii) If the binomial equations using addition operation, then its points is negative. (b) the constant factor of each of the numerator and denominator equally. One of which is a three tribal equation in the form ax2 + bx + c , the value of b it is the sum of the value of the constant multiplication. (c) If the numerator and denominator are both binomial equations with difference operation, where the variables and constants in the numerator is the square of the variable and constant denominator. Or conversely, variables and constants in the denominator is the square of the variable and constant numerator. (d) If the equation is a difference of two fractions where the denominator is a binomial variables and constants in the denominator is the result of one of the squaring of the variables and constants in the denominator of the other. (e) If the equation in the form of fragments which all contain the same variables. (f) If the equation is in the form of two parts, where the coefficients and constants in the numerator or the same multiplication factor, so that when the coefficients and constants removed it will form one of the factors that equation equal to that of the denominator. 2. A herd Multiplication method: (a) If the equation is the difference of two roots. (b) If the equation in the form of the difference or fractions containing amount root form. Both the62 _ Jurnal Teknosains, Volume 8 Nomor 1, Januari 2014, hlm. 61 – 76numerator and the denominator. 3. Distribution by Top Rank methods: (a) If the equation in the form ∞/∞. (b) If a polynomial equation of degree 3, 4, 5,... etc. Which is hard to be factored. 4. L Hopital method: if the limit point is substituted then produces the indeterminate form 0/0, ∞/∞, ∞-∞ , except if the derivative of the function at the root of the denominator in the form similar to the form factor function in the numerator. Vice versa, the derivative of the function at the root of the numerator shaped form factor similar to the function in the denominator.Key words: Limit, indeterminate forms, L Hopital method.

Abstract

Dalam tubuh yang sehat terdapat jiwa yang sehat, dan untuk mendapatkan tubuh yang sehat salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan cara memperhatikan asupan gizi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan kalori tubuh. Namun sebagian besar orang tidak mengetahui seberapa besar jumlah kalori yang harus dikonsumsinya tiap hari, hal inilah yang mengakibatkan munculnya kelebihan bahkan ada pula kekurangan gizi. Tujuan dari penulisan penelitian ini untuk merancang atau membangun aplikasi penyedia informasi kebutuhan gizi orang dewasa berbasis android. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental yaitu melakukan eksperimen terhadap variabel-variabel kontrol (input) untuk menganalisis output yang dihasilkan. Hasil dari rancangan sistem pada penulisan penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi yang berjalan pada sistem operasi Android, dimana pengguna dapat memperoleh informasi tentang berat badan ideal, status gizi, jumlah kalori yang perlu dikonsumsi perharinya, serta beberapa contoh menu makanan. Pengujian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode pengujian blackbox yang berfokus pada persyaratan fungsional perangkat lunak. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa secara fungsional sistem aplikasi ini sudah dapat menghasilkan output yang diharapkan.Aplikasi penyedia informasi kebutuhan gizi (Nutrition Care) dirancang untuk memberikan informasi kepada pengguna (orang dewasa) tentang gizi dan kebutuhan kalori, atau keadaan gizi pada tubuh, apakah kurang, lebih, ataupun normal. Dan dalam Islam masalah tersebut sangat diperhatikan, hal tersebut terlihat dari banyaknya ayat yang membahasnya.Key words: informasi kebutuhan gizi, orang dewasa, android.
