Abstract

 AbstrakStudents academic achievement in school influenced by many factors. They were internal and external factors and consist of many different factors. Literature findings showed different result among the factors. This research aimed to identify the relation between self concept and student academic achievement. Using purposive sampling technique, 32 highschool student were chosen as subject.    Self concept measured by self concpet scale and academic achievent measured using academic report. Using parson product moment, these two variable were measured to analyze the relationship between them.  The result showed that they were significant corelation between self concept and student academic achievement in highschool student (r = 0,381; p < 0,05). Abstract

AbstractPeer pressure in adolescent is a common issue that can give positive and negative impact. Among the negative impact of peer pressure is bullying behavior. Bullying behavior is  repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological aggressive behaviour by a person or group directed towards a less powerful that is intended to cause harm, distress or fear.  This research aim to explore the relationship between bullying and conformity among junior high school student in SMPN 22 Tangerang. Bullying behavior was measured using bullying behaviour scale, and conformity was measured using comformity scale (Rahmwati, 2014). The result showed that there were a non significance and positive correlation between bullying and conformity (r = 0,224, p = 0,025 < 0,05).  Kata kunci: Konformitas terhadap teman sebaya, perilaku bullying, siswa SMP

Abstract

AbstrakOrganizational climate will affect the organizational quality and achievement. In educational field, there were organizational school climate which occurs as a perception of school climate from the principal, teachers, students and school employee. This research aim to found out the difference in organizational climate between state primary school and private primary school in Central Jakarta.  Using cluster ramdom sampling technique, two state primary school and two private primary school chosen as subject. School organizational climate measured with organizational climate indes from Hoy and Miskel (2001). The result showed there was no differences in organizational climate between private and state primary school. Kata kunci: organizational climate, primary school

Abstract

Abstrak  Academic Motivation is an important factor for students. Having a good academic motivation will enhance student achievement. There were contradictory result on the relationship between academic motivation and student achievement. This research aims to explore the relation between academic motivation and student achievement. Using purposive sampling, 180 high school student in Jakarta area were chosen as subject. Academic motivation was measured using LOMOT (Lowo Academic Motivation) dimension of SMALSI (School Motivation and Learning Styles Inventory), while student achievement measured using school grade by the end of the semester. The result showed that there were a relationship (r=0,301; p<0,05) between academic motivation and academic achievement in high school student.Kata Kunci : academic motivation, academic achievement, high school student

Abstract

AbstrakAcademic motivation showed inner drive within every students to achieve highest achievement. They were internal and external factor that influence ones academic motiation.  This research aime to explore and describe academic motivation in high school student in West Borneo.   Using cluster disproportionate stratified random sampling, 184 highschool student from three different area in West Borneo selected as the sample. Academic motivation measured using the LOMOT (Low Motovation) dimension of SMALSI (Student Motivation and Learning Style Inventory (SMALSI). Result found that student academic achievement in West Borneo is in medium level. Result alsho showed  there was a significant different in academic motivation between student in the Pontianak city,Singkawang region and Kembayan districk.   Kata kunci : academic motivation, highschool student, West Borneo
