Abstract

Concrete is one of the most widely used construction of civil buildings today several advantages compared other construction materials. One of the weaknesses of concrete structure is the weight per meter cubic big enough. It is very influential on the amount that dead load that will work on the building structure. Determination of dead load on the building structure can be minimized by the use of lightweight concrete. In structure concrete also has a weakness that is a low tensile strength and are brittle. How to repair these weaknesses, among others is by adding fiber to the concrete mixture. One popular type of fiber used is the steel fiber. The use of steel fiber as raw mixture in mixing concrete for building structures has not been widely used in Indonesia due to the difficult to obtain because it must be imported from overseas so it’s not economical. To overcome these problems some previous researchers have tried to use local ingredients widely available in the market with a relatively cheap price of fiber wire. Galvanized wire is the material chosen because in addition to these factors have reinforced the principle of concrete, is also a material that is easily obtained and is resistant to corrosion due to the porous nature of lightweight concrete. This study starts from the manufacture of specimen consists of cylindrical specimens 100 mm diameter 200 mm height for compressive strength. Variations of fiber used were 0%, 0.3%, 0.75%, 1%, with a length of 60 mm fiber diameter of 1 mm. The specimens are three pieces for each variation of fiber. From the test that has been performed, the values for each variation of fiber 0% ; 0,3% ; 0,75% and 1% are 21,58 MPa ; 24,00 MPa ; 24,81 MPa and 25,01 MPa The optimum values obtained on variations of fiber 1% increased 15.89% on compressive strength. It can be concluded that by adding addition galvanized wire fibers into lightweight concrete mixture is increasing the compressive strength very small.

Abstract

Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) is a decision-making tool developed for decision-making process, using several criterias and select the best alternative based on those criteria. This method use perception of stakeholder on variables which is compared in decision making process. The aim of MCA is to find selected route using several alternatives which is give contribution for development area, accessibility, eficien and minimise environment impact and social aspect. Some criteria which is used in this analysis are accessibility , environment impact, area development, road system improvement, social aspect, construction cost and safety. The result of interview is used to determine the weightening of criteria. The methodology to achieve the goal is built pairwise comparison matrix and calclate the average of the result. From the analysis we can resume that the important variable is environment preservation. The best route of this alternatives is first route: simpang Kalinangkal-Tanjung Balok through Sungai langka-Bogorejo-Karangsari-Sukadadi.

Abstract

Structural modeling nowadays is mostly done on the testing in the laboratory because they viewed the results are very helpful in the field of research, design and scientific development. Modeling the structure of many done in making samples for the very complex structure, both in geometry and structure of the boundary conditions. Modelling composite wood beam specimen duren-sengon is to make laminated wood beam specimen (glulam beam) using a scale model, because all this research on laminated wood beams (glulam beam) always use the test object prototype. In this paper we will discuss about how to calculate scale model of laminated wood beams so that the behavior of the model scale specimens will be made in accordance with the behavior of a prototype test object. The steps of the test object modeling of composite laminated wood beams duren-sengon is to create model structures using the True Model. Because of the True Model similarity met all the requirements or have complete similarity. There are 10 (ten) types of physical variables involved in the modeling calculations include loads (F), span (l), deflection (δ), moment of inertia (I), stiffness (K), modulus of elasticity (E), stress (σ) , bending moment (M), beam width (b) and high beam (h). Specified length of span (l) and modulus of elasticity (E) as independent variable. The calculation of test object modeling laminated wood beams produced eight formulations that can be used to make a scale model test object. Eight formulations can be used to calculate the value of the load (F), deflection (δ), moment of inertia (I), stiffness (K), stress (σ), bending moment (M), beam width (b) and high beam (h ) of the test object model scale to be made, by first setting the value for the long span (l) and modulus of elasticity (E) as independent variables.

Abstract

The main idea is to know the requirement or demand of pedestrian facility and also the service level of pedestrian facility that have been there. This research is using two kind of data, a secondary data and a primary data. The primary data is got from survei of pedestrian volume, pedestrian cycle time, and eksisting weidth of trotoar. The final result from all those survei are trotoar pedestrian volume, pedestrian velocity, weidht affective, and also the service level of pedestrian facility on each location that we analysis. The result of this research result shows that the biggest volume of pedestrian are on Sunday for 26782 pedestrian, on Monday pedestrian volume are dicrease between 10-40%. Velocity rates of pedestrian are different betwen male and female, the male velocity rate are faster than female. Trotoar affective weidht on four trotoar location that we survey shows that almost of the trotoar does not have the appropriate weidth wich pedestrian need. Male velocity rates on trotoar is 49,1m/minutes and female are 47,7m/minutes. For service level of pedestrian facility, crossing bridge on Kartini have the lowest level that is “F”.

Abstract

This research takes the samples in two locations of hardened-layer implementation using asbuton as the substitution of visco elastic. The research is conducted at the road paths of national street, Jambi Province. Data are gathered through several surveys: pre-conducting survey, on conducting survey, and post-conducting survey, within a year. This research aims to compare the result of two locations and the result of Job Mix Formula which are correlated to both laboratory test result of asbuton producer and laboratory test result of Engineering Faculty of Lampung University. The result of laboratory data analysis and material used test show the causes of failure on one of the road paths though the result of laboratory test and field test remain the same. Asbuton has similar characteristics to visco elastic. The influence of temperature, specifically mixing temperature and compact temperature, is very dominant toward end result of pavement product. Mixing temperature is determined by AMP capability to produce high-heat (+/- 1700C) in aggregate drying process within “drying-drum”. Meanwhile AMP with diesel fuel is not capable to produce such high-heat, except if AMP employs coal. Besides, travel time from AMP to exposure location will very much influence the pavement quality. The research findings show the comparison between the conducting of laboratory test and the result of post-conducting at two locations in 2009. The conclusion drawn from the field test are: mixing temperature is very dominant to determine the end result and there is a problem as the result of asbuton substitution with visco elastic.

Abstract

To ensure continuity of economic activity in particular and development in a broad sense in this area, the development of various facilities which are expected to support economic activity is much-needed. Therefore we need a spatial development that is community based by rearranging the relevant regional spatial planning by involving the community in the spatial planning process.As a coastal area, tidal factor wil affect spatial planning in Teluk Betung Bandarlampung coastal area. Tidal data will be used in structuring the analysis of coastal areas as a primary or secondary data.The type of tides in the coast area of Teluk Betung, Bandar Lampung is semi-diurnal type. This implies that the region experienced double-tide and low tide twice daily. Within one month, there are two occurance of high tide (spring tide) and low tide (neap tide).Tides in Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung coast are has a range (tidal range) of 114 cm (= 119 cm - 5 cm recording on signs), or has an amplitude of about 57 cm.
