Abstract

This study aims to investigate water domestic demand of people living in coastal area of Bandar Lampung City. The location of the study is in the Sukaraja area, Bumi Waras Sub-district, Bandar Lampung City. Data mining of household water demand is undertaken by using questionnaire to 65 households. It is indicated from the survey that every household averagely consits of 4 persons. Everry person spends about IDR 368 for 103.4 l of water domestic in daily basis. Daily water domestic demand of the people in the are study is quite different from the standard daily water domestic demand percapita. This deviation is due to the differences in the aspect of social and economy between the people in the are study and ordinary people

Abstract

Soil is a material that serves as an support for the basis of a constuction, be it construction of buildings, bridges and roads. Each region has different soil characteristics in other regions, there is high and has a bearing capacity of those that are low. To improve the soil characteristics that can lead to low bearing capacity, the necessary repairs to soil stabilization methods. Stabilization efforts are often undertaken by stabilizing additives. In this research using a chemical additive material that is TX-300, which is expected to improve the characteristics of the soil so the soil is worthy of a construction established. Soil samples that tested in this research is the soft clay are derived from Rawa Sragi, East Lampung. This study used soil mixed with ash content about 0,9 ml with the optimum variation of curing time used is 7 days, 14 days and 28 days. Based on the test of physical properties of original soil, AASHTO classifies soil samples in group A-7 (clay soil) and subgroup A-7-5, while the USCS classifies soil samples as fine-grained soil and belonging to CH group. The results of laboratory studies indicate that the stabilization material using TX-300 can improve the physical and mechanical properties of soft clay. The soil that has been stabilized with TX 300 has increased the value of specific gravity and bearing capacity and it is decreased of liquid limit and indeks plastisity of soft clay. Based on the test results, this type of clay is not too good to be used as a ground subgrade for road construction, because its PI’s value is about ≥ 10% despite value of CBR is plenty high.

Abstract

Road is one of many things that support the development of construction at citties and villages. Not every soil can be directly used for road construction. Soil conditions in one area will not have the same soil properties with the other area. Some has a good bearing capacity and there’s also some with poor soil bearing capacity. This thing is very influenced by the type of the soil, so that on constructionis is requred a deeper understanding of the soil behavior analytically. In this research, the tested soil is study clay soil that diviced from Dusun kali ayu, Desa jadti baru, Kecamatan tanjung bintang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan-Provinsi Lampung had been optimized with TX-300 with density of 2.49, water contents of 22.34 percent, 41.08 percent Liquit Limit, plastic limit of 31.92 percent and plasticity index of 9.15 percent. Mixed content of TX-300 that used was 1.2 ml and 6 kg soil sample for 0,7,14 and 28 day with unsoaked method. On physical examination like density and liquit limit increased after stabilized. While the mechanical examination, TX-300 is quite effective in increasing the bearing capacity along with the increasing of curing duration from 21.69% up to 25.92% in 28 days curing time. From CBR test result without soaking , the soil that has stabilized with TX-300 has a less effect in increasing the bearing capacity of the sandy clay soil compared with of stabilizing on soft clay soil.

Abstract

The aim of this study are to compare periodic and stochastic models generated by using FFT fre- quencies with periodic and stochastic models generated by using astronomic frequencies. Fourier series are used to simulated periodic model, and autoregressive method is employed to simulate stochastic model. In this study, 253 dominant FFT frequencies and 9 astronomic frequencies are used as constituent frequencies to simulate periodic models. 512 hours of data are used for the model. Results of this study present that the periodic and stochastic models using FFT frequencies give more accurate results than periodic and stochastic models using the astronomic frequencies.

Abstract

Infrastructure rapid development sometimes had negative impact, such as the use of impermeable pavement layers which result the infiltration be hampered. By utilizing the paving block, it can resolve o f infrastuture development problem. Known, paving block is composition of building materials that made from the mixture of portland cement or hydraulic adhesives, water, and agrregates with or without the other ingridient as defined in SNI 03-0691-19996. To find the other alternatives then will do the assesment with the limestone and soil. Soil samples were tested from Desa Karang Anyar, South Lampung. The composition of mixture was used 6 %, 8 % and 10 %, with curing time during 7, 14 and 28 days, and the treatment with or without combustion and then paving block were tested with compressive strength and water absorption. The research results obtained by the characteristics of the soil is a clay samples. The average value of compressive strength was linearly proportional to the amount of lime composition. The compressive strength during 28 days of curring time and without combustion was from 32,96 kg/cm2 to 10,87 kg/cm2, then the compressive strength with combustion was from 16,99 kg/cm2 to 56,91 kg/cm. Water absorption test value was inversely proportional to the amount of lime composition. The water absorption was from 10,07% to 15,07%. The compressive strength resulting over all still not include the specifications of paving block in SK - SNI 03-1996, also for the compressive strength was 85 kg/cm2. The value of water absorption test were not include the specifications of paving block SK SNI - 03 - 0691-1996 which ranges from 3 % - 10 %.

Abstract

Pedestrians crossing road at the signalized intersection has a high risk as victims of traffic acci- dents, it is because the time of pedestrian to cross the road not taken into account by the cycle time of traffic lights. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the intersection and associate it with the behavior of pedestrians crossing the road. The results showed that the walking speed of pedestrians can not crossing on red all period and setting time at traffic lights at the intersection has not accommodate a pedestrian to crossing. to improve the safety and comfort of pedestrians, then at the intersection countdown signal must be installed equipment, the equipment is minimal in-set time of 15 seconds to allow time for pedestri- ans to crossing.

Abstract

Lampung Province has a fairly wide swamp area, one of them is in Rawa Pitu area. Swamp irri- gation in Rawa Pitu area has not been used extensively. The purpose of this research is to conduct a study, analysis, and systematically arranged recommendations on revitalizing Rawa Pitu swamp area that can be optimized to increase food crops production in order to improve the welfare of society. The research site is located in the sub-district of Rawa Pitu, Tulang Bawang regency. The location of Rawa Pitu is between the Tulang Bawang and the Pidada rivers. Analysis in this study is more focused on the revitalization of the sub-secondary of swamp irrigation system to increase agricultural productivity in Rawa Pitu area by comparing before and after revitalization. From the calculation, it is obtained that: the maximum of 3 days cumulative daily rainfall with the 5 years return period is obtained 104,12 mm and the amount of drainage modulus is obtained at 4,016 mm / day. Agricultural yield before revitalized, for the rice, the profit is Rp.13.697.819.386,- and for the crops, the profit is Rp.12.452.563.078.-. Agricultural production after revitalized is in- crease, for the rice, the profit is Rp.18.739.594.819,- and for the crops, the profit is Rp.17.035.995.290,-. The value of benefit cost ratio is about 1,38 and it is greater than 1,0, so that there is a profit, and net present value is positive, it is Rp.7.642.988.768,-.
