Abstract

Flood dyke as construction made of soil, will usually experience a settlement, thus studies are needed to determine the shrinkage and settlement behavior that occurs in swamp flood dyke in the Tulang Bawang River Basin, by laboratory research and field observation. By USCS Method, we’ve gotten samples as sandy clay (SC) soil type and samples of high clay plasticity (CH), while by USDA Method, we’ve gotten all samples of claysoil type. Physically, the soil has a high degree of saturation and porosity and refers to soil properties such as volume weight, void ratio, mass density and water content, so the soil tends to be a clay soil with less organic where the clay content is known to range between 36, 44% - 79,94%, and organic content ranged from 11,38% - 22,43%. The average percentage of total settlement at flood dyke was most dominant du to linear shrinkage which contributed 42,51%, followed by soil consolidation under the dyke of 34,48%, subsequently caused by a settlement immediately and dyke consolidation, respectively 18,32% and 4,62%. The settlement due to consolidation occurs slowly such the process of void ratio discharge due to loading, different to the settlement due to linear shrinkage and the immediate settlement that is considered to occur immediately (because there is still very least research on the timing of this settlement). The value of settlement relation to time in the downstream and upstream river areas reviewed will be different, where the settlement in the downstream area will give a higher value than in the upstream, which is dependent on the depth of the soft soil.

Abstract

Transportation problems in residential areas arise because of the movement patterns of people and goods and the development of land areas that are not in accordance with the capacity of the road network performance. In this case if the influence of the road network is not considered it will have an impact on the level of road services to be low, causing congestion, increasing the number of accidents, traffic violations and the function of the road itself. The development of subsidized housing aimed at low-income people in East Baturaja District has increased since 2017 with 722 houses. That is, with the increase in development can have an impact on housing traffic with the performance of the road network. The purpose of this study is to predict trip generation due to the construction of subsidized housing on the performance of the road network of subsidized housing areas in East Baturaja District. The problem in this study is knowing the character - istics of the respondents, then determining the variables that become the benchmark in this study are the Purpose of Leaving the House (X1), Total Revenue (X2), Total Expenditures (X3), Types of Transportation Modes Used (X4), Ownership Motorcycle (X5), Car Ownership (X6) and Transportation Costs (X7). The study uses quantitative methods and multiple linear regression analysis with sampling using a tiered formula and the proportional formula to take samples so that some regions are represented as many as 135 samples. From the results of the study there are four variables that meet, namely, X1, X2, X4, X2 and obtained the equation Y = -1.07 + 0.13 (X1) + 0.19 (X2) + 0.20 (X4) + 0.73 ( X5) and the price R2 = 0.79 is obtained. The effect of the trip generation on the road network is: 102.5 pcu / hour.

Abstract

This research aim to identify and analyze the sectors that are the basis of each district for the development of the Subdistrict. Determining and describing the potential competitive sector of each sub has the greatest potential to contribute to the economic development of Newburn and conditions of the road network that will support the regional development of Fortuna. Of each District in Newburn shows the different basis, mainly due to the Subdistrict area developed into the urban industrial sector emerged as the basis in some districts. The road network is not well with the condition and do not meet the standard of the existing road. With the development of the Subdistrict for Trade and Services are necessary to be an increase in the road, especially the relationship between the center - a center of the preferred road network of collectors.

Abstract

Train is one of the most preferred modes of transportation for the people of Lampung. One of the efforts made by PT KAI in improving service quality was to build a double railroad track for Tanjung Karang - Kertapati train. The purpose of this study is to find out the analysis of the invest - ment feasibility of the double track construction carried out by PT KAI. The data used is the price data for the construction of the railway line per kilometer and the income data of PT. KAI from passenger trains and babaranjang. The parameters used to review investment are using the Net Present Value (NPV) method, Benefit to Cost Ratio (BCR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and, Payback Period (PP). There are 8 (eight) scenarios in calculating the investment feasibility analysis in this study. Each scenario has a variation on the inflation rate and the occupancy rate (KTD) and the achievement of the volume of coal transport. The results of the investment feasibility analysis carried out, all scenarios are very profitable, but the most favorable scenario is scenario 8, with the source of investment funds coming from own funds, 100% KTD, 5% inflation rate, 25 million tons / year coal volume, and rate of return by 15%.
