Abstract

Abstrcat: The effectiveness of discovery learning to improve inferencetion skill and mastery concept of chemical equilibrium. The goal of this research was describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to improve inferencetion skill and mastery concept of chemical equilibrium.  This research used quasi experimental method with a pretest postest control grup design. Sampling was performed by using purposive technique with all of the 11th grade student in SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung as population. This research used two classes as control and experimental class which they were obtained from XI MIA 3 and XI MIA 2 of academic year 2018 2019. The effectiveness of discovery learning was showed by the significant difference of n Gain between control and experiment classes. The size associated with using effect size. The result obtained size of influence is great. The result of hypothesis testing showed that discovery learning model was effective to improve inferencetion skill and mastery concepts of chemical equilibrium.Keywords: chemical equilibrium, discovery learning model, inferencetion skill, and mastery concepts.Abstrak: Efektivitas Discovery Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Inferensi dan Penguasaan Konsep Kesetimbangan Kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep materi kesetimbangan kimia. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest postest control grup design.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yang dalam penelitian ini populasinya ialah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA 3 dan XI MIA 2 Tahun Ajaran 2018 2019. Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh adanya perbedaan rata-rata nilai n Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Ukuran pengaruh dihitung dengan menggunakan uji effect size. Hasilnya diperoleh ukuran pengaruh yang besar. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model discovery learning pada materi kesetimbangan kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep. Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, pembelajaran berbasis penemuan, kemampuan inferensi, dan penguasaan konsep. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v19i1.pp50-61

Abstract

Abstract: The Effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning Model Viewed from the Students Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in terms of students understanding mathematical concepts. The population of this study was all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Natar in the even semester of the academic year of 2018 2019 as many as 126 students that distributed into four classes. Two classes were randomly taken as samples with one class as the experimental class and one class as the control class. This study used the randomized pretest posttest control group design. The research data was obtained through a essay test of the comparison. The results showed the increasing of students understanding of mathematical concepts who took PBL was higher than increasing of students understanding of mathematical concepts of who took conventional learning, but the proportion of students who had a well defined mathematical concept was not more than 60 percent of students who took PBL. Thus, PBL was not effective in terms of students understanding mathematical concepts.Keywords: effectiveness, understanding mathematical concepts problem based learning  Abstract: Efektivitas Model Problem Based Learning  Ditinjau Dari Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) ditinjau dari  pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Natar semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018 2019 sebanyak 126 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam empat kelas. Dua kelas diambil secara acak sebagai sampel dengan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas sebagai  kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan the randomized pretest posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes uraian pada materi perbandingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti PBL lebih tinggi dari pada peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, tetapi proporsi siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep matematis terkategori baik tidak lebih dari  banyaknya siswa yang mengikuti PBL. Abstract

Abstract: The Influence of Guided Inquiry Learning Towards Students Mathematical Communication Skill Junior High School. This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of guided inquiry learning model towards students matemathical communication skill. The population of this research was all of eight grade students of SMPN 9 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2018 2019 as many as 180 students that were distributed into 6 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIIIA as many as 29 studentsand VIIIC as many as 29 students class that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this reserch was the pretest postest control group design. The analysis data which used was mann whitney test. The data in this research was quantitaive data that obtained by students mathematical communication scale. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2018 2019 yang terdiri dari 180 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIA sebanyak 29 siswa dan VIIIC sebanyak 29 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitiannya adalah pretest posttest control group design. Data berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji mann whitney U. Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Problem Solving Based Worksheet to Improve Creative Thinking Skills Students. This research aims to describe the effect of using problem solving based worksheet to improve students creative thinking skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topic. This research uses quasi experiment method with Non Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this research was class X Senior high school N 13 Bandarlampung. The sampel used was cluster random sampling, the class X MIPA 1 was the experimental class and X MIPA 5 was the control class. To prove the students worksheet based on problem solving is influential in improving students creative thinking skills, then a measure of influence effect size. The result of data analysis showed that students creative thinking skills had a large influence on the experimental class compared to the control class. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that problem solving based worksheet has large influence in improving students creative thinking skills in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.Keywords: problem solving based student worksheet, creative thinking skills, electrolyte and non elektrolyte solution. Abstrak: Pengaruh LKS Berbasis Problem Solving untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh LKS berbasis Problem Solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment dengan desain Non Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 13 Bandarlampung. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Untuk membuktikan LKS berbasis problem solving berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa maka dilakukan uji pengaruh (Effect Size). Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa berpengaruh besar pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis problem solving memiliki pengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata kunci: LKS berbasis problem solving, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v19i1.pp25-36

Abstract

Abstract: Effectiveness of Pre Lecture Quiz to Improving the Creative Thinking. This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of Pre Lecture Quiz to improving students creativity thinking skill on Arrhenius acid base topic. The research method used was quasi experimental with non equivalen pretest postest control group design. The sample selection was done by cluster random sampling, obtained XI IPA 3 as experimental class and XI IPA 6 as control class. The effectiveness of Pre Lecture Quiz was showed by the significant difference for average n Gain of flexible thinking skill between the experiment and control class, for experiment class was 0.70 with high categorize and for control class was 0.48 with middle cateogorize. The conclusion of this research is effective Pre Lecture Quiz and has a high effect size to improving the ability of creative thinking on Arrhenius acid-base topic.Keywords: creative thinking, Pre-Lecture Quiz, Arrhenius acid-base Abstrak: Efektivitas Pre Lecture Quiz untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas Pre Lecture Quiz ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yaitu kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,48 dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu Pre Lecture Quiz efektif dan mempunyai ukuran pengaruh yang besar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi asam basa Arrhenius.Kata Kunci: keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa, Pre Lecture Quiz, asam basa Arrhenius DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v19i1.pp37-49
