Public Health Information Behavior at Flood-Prone Area In Bandung Regency: A Case Study in Baleendah Village, Andir Village, Bojongsoang Village and Dayeuh Kolot Village Kurniasih, Nuning; Sukaesih, Sukaesih

This study aims to understand the public health information behavior in the vicinity of flood prone area by examining 1) The public health information behavior in identifying diseases that may occur because of a flood. 2) The information behavior in finding health information solution required for dealing with diseases that may occur because of a flood. 3) The public health information behavior in determining health information sources which is used. 4) The public health information behavior in making use of health information for diseases that may occur because of a flood. 5) The public health information behavior in making use of health institution to satisfy its information needs. 6) The publicÂ health information behaviorÂ in flood prone area. The method used in this research is qualitative method supported by Case Study approach. In this research, we analyze data obtained from Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted by 11 informants and in-depth interview with 20 interviewees Â that are competent with this research research for triangulation. The result of this research reveals that people living in the flood prone area vicinity in Baleendah Village, Andir Village, Dayeuh Kolot Village and Bojongsoang Village, Bandung Regency (1) identify the potential of a flood disease based on their experience and identification during a flood (2) search for health information solution required for overcoming disease potential because of a flood by asking directly to a doctor or health center staff or volunteers during a flood. For psychological problem, usually people consult with religious leader, although Social Agency provice service to overcome this problem. (3) The main information source used is one that is informed by the health center or village midwife. (4) People use health information to help healing process when they get sick during the disaster. Health information obtained when a flood does not happen is only for adding insights. (5) Health Agency through health center and village midwife are actively involved to give health counseling to the public on various occasions. Those five things influence The public health information behavior in the flood prone area.

Automation Based Library Management in Depok Public Library In The Context of Ritual Performance Maulidia, Rafiqa; Laksmi, Laksmi

Library management using manual system is no longer adequate to handle the workload in the library routines, librarians must use application of library automation. To provide a good working performance, librarians use strategy, competences and certain habits, which are referred to as a ritual performance. The performance of the ritual is the demonstration of competence spontaneously by individuals in dealing with individuals, groups and organizations, which contains elements of personal ritual, the work ritual, social ritual, and organization ritual. The research focuses in the automation based library management in the context of the performance of the ritual. This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. The findings suggest that the personal ritual shows the personal habits of librarians to do their tasks, ritual librarians work show responsibility towards their duties, social rituals strengthen the emotional connection between librarians and leaders, as well as ritual organizations suggest the involvement of librarians in giving their contribution in decision making. Conclusions of this study shows that the performance of rituals librarian at Depok Public Library gives librarians the skills to implement automation systems in the library management, and reflect the values of responsibility, mutual trust, and mutual respect.

High school students have known as Gen Y or Z and their media using can be understand on their information-seeking behavior. This researchâs purposes were: 1) to analyze the studentsâ motivation; 2) to analyze the critical thinking and academic verification; 3) to analyze the information-seeking behavior. This study used quantitative approach through survey among 1125 respondents in nine clusters, i.e. Central, East, North, West, and South of Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Depok, and Bogor. Schools sampling based on "the best schools rank" by the government, while respondents have taken by accidental in each school. Construct of questionnaire included measurement of motivation, critical thinking and academic verification, and the information-seeking behavior at all. The results showed that the motivations of the use of Internet were dominated by habit to interact and be entertained while on the academic needs are still relatively small but increasing significantly. Studentsâ self-efficacy, performance and achievement goals tend to be high motives, however the science learning value, and learning environment stimulation were average low motives. High school students indicated that they think critically about the various things that become content primarily in social media but less critical of the academic information subjects. Unfortunately, high school students did not conducted academic verification on the data and information but students tend to do plagiarism.

Developing Method Use Of Tbm To User Information Literacy In Six Tbm Sambikerep Villages Surabaya City Fahriyah, Fahriyah; Damayanti, Astrid

The existence of Community Library in Six PAUD Sambikerep Village, Â Sambikerep District Surabaya City expected can closer of resources in the community, causing exasperation reading (literacy) for PAUD mothers and parents of early childhood education, broaden knowledge in public life and certainly indirectly educate and improve lives the surrounding community. The purpose of this study to analyze the influence of the use of community library and information literacy of the PAUD Mother and Parent of Â early childhood of in the Sambikerep Village, Surabaya City. The population in this study were all Mother and Parents PAUD as Community Library users totaling 292 people. A sample of 64% from the population that found as many as 186 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is the probability sampling is using simple random sampling. On average respondents about the use of TBM is 3.687 and the information literacy of users is 3,853. The reliably of the questionnare was calculated to be between 0.951 and 0.882 using the Cronbachs Alpha. The analysis Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test is Significant mean score of 0,000 that each variable were normal distribution. Hyphotesis test shows Î± (0.05)> Significancy (0.000) were significant and simultaneous relationship. Analysi Cooeficient using Product Moment Correlation Correlations scores was r = 0.669 with significant Ï = 0.000 <Î± = 0.05 were medium correlations. Significant correlations tcount Test score of 12.196 and Ttable at significantion score of 0.05 with 185 hp 2.34667 (R2) = 0,447 were positive and significant correlation between the use of TBM and the information literacy of users.

Institutional Repository Access Policy: A Case Study in State University of Malang Library Ernaningsih, Dwi Novita

This article discusses about access policy to institutional repository in State University of Malang Library. This study aims to analize access policy and accessibility to institutional repository, barriers to adoption of open access, as well as the views of stakeholders to open access institutional repository. The method used is the case study method with qualitative approach. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and document analysis. The result shows that the resistance and disagreement among the stakeholders toward open access institutional repository affect the access policy and accessibility to institutional repository. In protecting academic work, access restrictions which is explicitly does not have legality is applied. The access restriction affects users and visibility of institution. It generates complaints from library users most of whom are digital generation. The restriction also declines the university rank in Webometrics.

Ancient Manuscript as Cultural Identity in The Community of Kabuyutan Ciburuy Bayongbong Garut Residence Rodiyah, Saleha; Siti Khodijah, Ute Lies; Kurniasih, Nuning

The background of documenting manuscript of Kabuyutan Ciburuy is related to the process of community understanding towards conducting preservation, real valueÂ of documenting and looking at the connection between documentation and efforts of preserving the cultural values embodied in the ancient manuscript. This study uses qualitative ethnographic approach. Data was collected through literature study, interview and observation. The result is that the ancient manuscripts can be maintained and prevented from damaging by storing them in proper temperature and humidity, and culturally maintained appropriately, besides understanding in the cultural context. Beside that, transforming to digital media is also done to avoid the old manuscripts from physical damage, although the contents are used for various purposes. Furthermore, the value of ancient manuscripts from this documentation is not only informative, historical and educational, but more culturally nuanced because the main purpose of this documentation activities aimed at developing the culture so that people of Kabuyutan Ciburuy understand the benefit value of ancient manuscript.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media sosial youtube menjadi situs pilihan penyelenggara penyiaran khususnya televisi sebagai tempat pengelolaan rekaman dokumen audio visual yang telah tayang bagi publik. Setiap program yang ditayangkan oleh televisi harus mengikuti pedoman yang tidak boleh dilanggar, dimana kegiatan penayangan penyiaran berada dibawah lembaga yang berwenang terhadap isi siaran yakni Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah televisi ANTV dengan program Pesbukersnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan sampling non probability dan teknik sampling purposive. Langkah yang pertama dilakukan adalah menonton program Pesbukers ANTV. Kedua melakukan analisa penerapan pedoman perilaku penyiaran dan standar program siaran pada program Pesbukers. Ketiga melakukan pengumpulan data dengan melakukan wawancara dengan tim pesbukers ANTV mengenai penggunaan pedoman P3 dan SPS dalam produksi dan pengelolaan rekaman dokumen. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa P3 dan SPS merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dan menjadi acuan bagi lembaga penyiaran sebagai dasar, tujuan dan arah dalam setiap kegiatan siaran televisi. Faktor kreativitas terkadang menjadi unsur terjadinya pelanggaran terhadap P3 dan SPS sehingga dalam setiap episode, tim Pesbukers selalu berusaha untuk tidak keluar dari batasan skenario yang telah disiapkan oleh tim kreatif untuk seluruh pemain dan aktor yang tampil. Sementara ANTV juga memanfaatkan media sosial youtube sebagai wadahÂ rekaman dokumen Pesbukers yang telah tayang. Perlunya dilakukan pemotongan tayangan Pesbukers di media sosial youtube yang dinilai melanggar, sehingga publik tetap mendapatkan tontonan program televisi yang baik dan mendidik.

Leadership In The Public Library : Case Study In Tenteram City Public Library Al Fatih, Muhammad Irsyad; Wijayanti, Luki

In the formal and informal organization, it is always found someone who is considered more prominent than others, who then appointed or designated as a leader. The Leader of an organization is expected to have leadership qualities, which showed his skills in leading organizations. A leader in the library requires synergy between skills in library management and leadership in general in order to create a good working atmosphere and to encourage the library staff in providing the best services to the patron community. Tenteram City Public library since year of 2018 has never experienced a change of its leader. Research using qualitative approach aimed to identify the leadership of Tenteram City public library leader in developing human resources and library services. Data of this study is gathered through observation and interviews. It is found that the head of the library serves as a role model in imbedding working discipline, he never involved the staff in decision making, the fear of making mistake is the working atmosphere created in the library. The Research found that the head of Tenteram City public library adopts autocratic leadership.
