Abstract

Abstract Children with special needs require different learning services with children in general. One kind of children with special needs is a child who has difficulty in learning and it is called dyslexia. Generally, children with dyslexia have some difficulties in learning and one of it is difficulty reading. The study aims to analyze the use of radiant images as media in reading for Dyslexia children. The subject in this study is Dyslexia students grade IV at SDN Repok Puyung. The methods used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Data collection was conducted through reading and observation tests. Data presented in the form of diagrams, then analyzed descriptively. The main problem in this research is whether the serial image media can help Dyslexia students in improving their reading skill. The results showed that the use of serial image media could improve their reading skill. The increasing of reading skills as reaction for memory improvement of Dyslexia student through pictures. Other findings in this study are improvement in learning activity and reading motivation for Dyslexia students.

Abstract

Abstract This reseach is started by researcher interest to MI Nurul Ulum Kretek Bantul as one of madrasah which apply curriculum based on national education system which integrated pesantren based–curriculum. This reseach aims to know about planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating those curriculums in MI Nurul Ulum. The type of this research is qualitative research. Subject of this research is the headmaster and some teachers. The technique of data analysis is using descriptive-analysis. Techniques and instrument of data collection is using observation, interview and documentation technique. To test the data validity, the researcher use triangulation technique. The finding of this research show that managements of pesantren based-curriculum in MI Nurul Ulum Kretek Bantul are as presented : 1. The planning of management pesantren based-curriculum already well running such as teaching preparation and other school programs, the preparation is carried out in early year school involving the headmaster and teacher, the foundation’s president, and commitees. 2. The implementation of curriculum management in MI Nurul Ulum is divided into 2 levels of studies : in school level is under headmaster leadership and class level is under teacher leadership. 3. The monitoring of curriculum management is conducted during the implementation of curriculum activities using observation and deliberation in class. 4. Evalution of curriculum management is conducted not only once in a year, but also every time when the obstacles occured, so the existing constraints do not accumulate.

Abstract

Abstract Discovery Learning is a learning model which makes students get involved in the problem solving for developing knowledge and skill. The using of discovery learning model can involve the students in problem solving activities, independent learning, thinking critically, comprehending and learning creatively. This learning model is along with thematic learning approach. The thematic learning is designed based on certain integrated themes to connect and correlate some subjects in order to give meaningful experiment for students. This research objects is to know the influence of discovery learning model to the thematic learning in MI Ma’arif Pulutan. The quaitative research methods was used in this reasearch. The primary data was collected from the teachers and the students’ report of study. The secondary data was obtained from the principal and the vice of principal of curriculum. The data collection was processed by triangulation technique and the data analysis was processed by qualitative method. Based on the result of the research can be concluded that the discovery learning model on thematic learning approach can simplify the teacher to teach the students, the students can comprehend the material easily, and can increase the learning outcomes level of the students in MI Ma’arif Pulutan

Abstract

Abstract This research describes several management of MI Nurul Ummah in order to improve the quality of education in the school, the type of research in this paper is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used by interview and also with various sources both from relevant books and journals. From the results of the writing, it is known that there are some policies implemented by MI Nurul Ummah management (1) Assisting the reading of Asmaul Husna, intends to educate students characters to love Allah through Asmaul Husna, (2) The implementation of Full Day School, the application of this policy is expected to make it easier to supervise students in the school, (3) Dhuha prayer in congregation, get children to pray in congregation and a good character building, (4) The training of teachers to upgrade teachers knowledge in order to produce a good quality of education. While that which is the inhibiting factors of the policy namely internal factors (Funds, Teachers, Students) external factors (Parents of Students, Society)

Abstract

Abstract This research study about implementation of literation movement program of reading habbit steps for 4th grader in SDN Sampangan, study about impact and teacher’s role in conducting literation program. This research is field research with use qualitative approach. Technique of data collection is conducted by documentation, observation and interview. Technique of data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusion while to check data validity is done by observation, triangulation technique and triangulation sources. The result show that The Implementation of Literation Movement Program on Reading Habituation Step for 4th Grader in SDN Sampangan 02 through six steps. First, giving time 10-15 minutes for reading. It can be conducted in class or out of class. Summerize what they are read from the textbook. Retelling what they are read in front of the class. Giving appreciate for student who are already retelling in front of the class and making a note for book which are already read and borrowed by the student in reading card. Positive impact of this activity is there are daily reading habbit which make students become keen on reading and improving their reading references. The role of 4th grader teacher are as assistant and facilitator.
