Abstract

It?s inevitable that the Koran will always be a reference (marja?) for Muslims in every thought and action, followed later by al-Sunnah in the second position, both as a reference in understanding the Koran or as independent sources in understanding and resolve specific cases. This fact has prompted the birth of various patterns of interpretation or comments of the scholars of Koran which continues to experience dynamic methodoligical growth, from tahlîlî, bi al-ma?thûr, adabî wa ijtimâ?î, sûfî, to the mawdû?î or thematic model. This article will discuss the intellect (al-?aql) within teh Koran perspective, namely effort to understand a thematic topic. Intellect (al-?aql) is one of debate topic among Muslims, especially among theologians or mutakallimîn against philosophers, who have not obtained a satisfactory intersection. This paper see

Abstract

This article attempts to reread passages of the Koran on human creation process; QS. al-Hajj [22]: 5, QS. Hûd [11]: 61, QS. al-Sajdah [32]: 7, QS. al-Saffât [37]: 11, QS. al-Rahmân [55]: 14 and others. The verses are read in order in accordance with the process of the creation of man. The recitation of this time directed at scientific interpretation. Therefore, some of the views of modern science such as medical and others taken into consideration and presented back in it. These readings provide information about the stage of evolution in human creation, not Darwin?s theory of evolution, but the evolution of embryonic, is called Darwinian evolution that occurs in the womb, not in the real world. Based on this it can also be known that man is not the off spring of other animals-which can be said to be lower than beings. This is because human beings as ?I? or ?nafs? is not limited to a combination of physical and spiritual, but also has a sense or qalb

Abstract

The Koran presents the topic of women in many verses and letters. But the most is in the letter al-Nisâ? so that he is often called al-Nisâ? al-Kubrâ. Although the Koran is the holy book of eternal truth, interpretation cannot be avoided as a relative. Historical development of various sect of kalâm, fiqh, and sufism is positive proof of the relativity of appreciation of religious Muslims. At one period, the levels of intellect into dominant, on the other period, the levels of emotionality become prominent. That is why the perception of women among Muslims, especially in self commentators, also varies from age to age the majority of Muslims are stuck with so many results ijtihâd of the scholars then regarded as a religion that cannot brain-tweaking and could not be bothered. But this fact does not actually like it. Therefore, this paper attempts to dismantle understanding of religious texts that have been used as legitimating for patriarchal mindset away from gender equality.

Abstract

Motto that has always expressed is that the Koran was Sâlih li kull zamân wa makân, in the sense they do not just blindly accept what is revealed literally (as most commentators earlier), but try to understand by always trying to look at the context and meaning behind ayat- verses of the Koran. In other words, you want to search is the ?spirit? or the moral message of the Koran itself. Modern interpretations are always encouraged to fit the paper with the condition of the interpreter. Advances in science may be the main factor in the birth and raise their interpreter responds. This paper tries to describe the state of some modern interpretations evolve. At the end of this paper, the authors conclude that the modern interpretation dominited by philosophy studies of the Koran, Koran and natural history. As well as newspapers and actual problems of Muslim Dailu. Abstract

A conversation about the sunnah is a long and ongoing discussion to the present. The central issue that continues is about the nature, status, and authority of the sunnah. This issue becomes so important because the position of the Prophet Muhammad as the messenger of Allah, so that his words and actions received by most Muslims as a source of religious authority and the second law after the Koran. Actually, the concept of the sunnah has evolved from time-to time. At the time of the Prophet Muhammad, sunnah is understood in an ideal form of behavior exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad who was always getting guidance from God throughout his life. At the time of the companions, this concept has been sustained and even further developed with the ijtihâd of the Companions, especially al-Khulafâ? al-Râshidûn that applied to society at that time. Discussing about sunnah, than, can not avoid discussions about hadith, because hadîthes are vehicles of the sunnah. At glance, the term sunnah and hadîth has same meaning, that is the tradition of the Prophetic tradition. This paper tries to highlight the development of the concept of the sunnah from the Prophet until the era of al-Shâfi?î.

Abstract

Activity of hadith external criticism (sanad) and also internal criticism (matn) is the obligation of the observers in order to put its existence together with the Koran as the base of religious argumentation. The process of criticism should be done, knowing that there is no guareantee of hadith which are up to the Muslims society categorized of accepted hadith. In addition to a wide variety of methods to criticize sanad, there are also various offers for hadith editorial criticizing. One of them is the science of mukhtalaf al-hadîth. The existence of this knowledge arises when doing data documentation (takhrîj hadîth) in the shade of the same-similar meaning. It will not be separated from the findings of controversial-looking hadith, and therefore the existence of such controversy should be sought in order to offer solutions with a strong suspect and also sort out the existing data to be placed in the proper position. Thus, this paper focuses on any viable solutions when dealing directly with the hadiths suspected controversial
