Abstract

This study discusses the effect formal education and motivation on Job satisfaction employee in the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta with gender as the variable Moderation          The subjects were regular employees Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta with a sample of 152 people. Data were collected survey method is to gives a list of questions or questionnaires directly to the respondents. Technique of analyzing data used in this research was the phased linear regression, analysis the testing effect between variable level of formal education and motivation to variable job satisfaction conducted by multiple regression analysis (multiple regression). While for the testing variable level of formal education and motivation on job satisfaction variable with a view the interaction effects of gender as a moderating variable using Moderated regression analysis (MRA), which is operated by IBM's SPSS version 21.          Results of research show that the, level of formal education and motivation significant and positive impact on job satisfaction, level of  formal education and a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, motivation and a positive significant effect on job satisfaction, and motivation level of formal education with gender as a moderating variable affects the job satisfaction.

Abstract

Micro, small and enterprises (SMEs) is one of the most crucial of economic development and local communities. For driving the economy, SMEs must be able to survive in an increasingly competitive business competition. This study examines influence of the external environment and competitive strategies on performance of SMEs in Yogyakarta. Competitive strategy used in this study is Porter generic strategies are cost leadership and differentiation, while the external environment used is environment dynamism and environment hostility. Based on 106 respondents who responded to the questionnaire, the results showed that cost leadership affects the performance of SMEs in Yogyakarta, but differentiation strategy doesn’t effect on the performance of SMEs in Yogyakarta. Differentiation strategy does’nt effect on performance of SMEs because there is less supported by the SME workforce skilled in applying innovation to improve its performance. The other results in this study are environment dynamism is not a variable that moderates the relationship strategy to performance of SMEs, while environment hostility is variable that moderates the relationship cost leadership to performance of SMEs but is not a variable that moderates the relationship differentiation to performance of SMEs

Abstract

This research aims to know and analyze whether transformational leardership, motivator factor, and hygiene factor influence job satisfaction to the employee of Balai Besar Latihan Ketransmigrasian Yogyakarta. It is also objected to know variable and factors having an effect on most dominant to employee`s job satisfaction at Balai Besar Latihan Ketransmigrasian Yogyakarta. The research method applied is descriptive analiytical method and multiple regression analytical method and using the SPSS version15.00 software as processing data. Primary data are acollected by distributing questionnairesin which variables are measured by Likert scale. The result of this research indicates that independent variablese.g  transformational leardership, motivator factor, and hygiene factor are simultaneously and partially having significant influences to variable dependent that is job satisfaction. The result of this research also indicates that hygiene factor is the most dominant variable that influencestheir job satisfaction. Based on determinant identification, it shows that adjusted R²  is 72,5%, meaning that employees’ job satisfaction of Balai Besar Latihan Ketransmigrasian Yogyakarta is affected simultaneously and partially by transformational leardership, motivator factor, and hygiene factor and 27,5% effected by other variables that have not been used in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to find out : 1). The effect of work enviroment on job satisfaction, 2). The effect of organizational commitment on job satisfaction, 3)  The dominant variabel which influence the job satisfaction, whether it is work enviroment or organizational commitment. Data were collected from 60 respondents by means of  population method. Data analysis was counducted through descriptive analysis, which include the research instrument validity test by using product moment correlation and reliability testing by using Cronbach’s Alpha technique, hpypotesis testing which multiple linear regression analysis with the t test and coefficient of determination. The result of the research showed that: 1). Work enviroment have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, 2). Organizational commitment have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, 3) Organizational commitment variabels have more dominant influence on job satisfaction than work enviroment.

Abstract

   This study discusses the organizational justice include distributive justice compensation and procedural justice compensation to employees performance both directly and indirectly influenced by employees satisfaction. The populations in this study were all non medic employees in RSUD Kraton Kabupaten Pekalongan are not served as a Civil Servant totaling 111 people. Data were collected by survey method is to provide a list of questions or questionnaires directly to the respondent. Data analysis techniques in this study using analysis of SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) program operated through AMOS 21. The results showed that distributive justice compensation significant positive effect on employees satisfaction, procedural justice compensation significant positive effect on employees satisfaction, distributive justice compensation are not significantly to employees performance, procedural justice compensation are not significantly to employees performance, employees satisfaction significant positive effect on employees performance. Employees’ satisfactions as a mediating influence of distributive justice compensation and procedural justice compensation to employees performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how well IT is used to support the business processes of SMEs in Bangunjiwo, and to identify ways to help SMEs improve IT support for business processes in SMEs in Bangunjiwo. This research is expected to have benefits that can increase managers/owners awareness to take advantage of the information technology support in business processes. By knowing the results of this study, the SMEs are expected to further improve the use of information technology in business processess as to achieve competitive advantage.The unit of analysis for this study is the SME organization, so every organization represented by one person (owner or manager). Population of the research is small and medium companies in Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique to determine which companies will be the respondent.The results show that IT support for each business process is lower than importance level that business processes run bySMEs in Bangunjiwo. IT support for SMEs in the business process can be enhancedby the disseminationof research results to the SMEs in Bangunjiwo, so they can understand the importance of IT support. Socialization is intended to motivate the use of IT facilities economically an deasily, so it can be done by SMEs.

Abstract

          The author examines the influence of leadership, distributive judgement of compensation, need for achievement, need for affiliation, and need for power, on the performance of employees of RSUD Kalianda. The performance of employee will affect the performance of companies that also affect the company achieve its goals, vision and mission. Leves of employee performance is inseparable from the role of employee in managing employees associated factors of leadership, namely how the level of influence and effectiveness of leadership undertaken, the distributive judgement of compensation factor, namely the extent to which the role and influence of the distributive judgement of compensation system applied in improving the performance of its employees, and motivate reflection of need for achievement, need for affiliation, and power needs that exist within themselves and therefore contributes to the achievement of its performance. Population in this study around 291 peoples, with 63 peoples as sample. Independent variables: leadership, distributive judgement of compensation, need for achievement, need for affiliation, need for power. Dependent variables: the performance of employee who judged from employee appraisal. This study uses questionnaire instruments data that have proven validity and reliability, and interview. The statistical techniques using multiple linear regression analysis with the partial test and coefficient of determination (R2). The results that the variables of need for affiliation has a positive significant impact on the performance of employee. While the variables of leadership, distributive judgement of compensation, need for achievement, and need for power are not having a significant effect on the performance of employee. Independent variables in this study are efficient enough to explain its influence on the dependent variable, is attested by the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) from the second regression analysis is 0.272 had the significant level 0.000.

Abstract

This type of research is a draft with cross sectional analytic, to know how the conflict of dual role of performance with work stress as the mediate variable. This research was conducted at the Department of Revenue Financial and Assets Management of Kulon Progo Regency. Subjects in the study were taken on the basis of a survey of women employees with criteria have been married. Engineering data collection by disseminating a questionnaire to respondents a number of 40 questionnaires, but the returns can be processed into data and research only 39 questionnaire. Data analysis in research using The Structural Equation (SEM) with data analysis tools using Partial Least Squares (PLS).The research results showed that dual role conflict to work stress. Then stress effect on work performance. The conflict also has a dual role directly to performance. The conflict also has a dual role directly to performance. Based on the results of the study also showed that work stress is able to mediate the conflict between the dual roles of performance at the Department of Revenue Financial and Assets Management of Kulon Progo Regency.
