<![CDATA[Levels of estrogen in menopausal draktis will decrease. This situation is furtherfacilitate the development of coronary disease, dementia, osteoporosis, hypertensionand others. This service activities aimed at increasing public understanding aboutthe menopause, due to continued menopouse, and prevention of advanced menopausedue to the way a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition and regular exercise. The targetof this activity is the mother PKK Village Tuwak Wetan RT 01 RW 01 Gonilan Sukoharjototaling 35 people. This service activities performed by the method of counseling,which is done by the media approach with leaflets lecture and discussion. Before andafter the lectures conducted tests to determine the level of development of mothers.Results showed that activity after counseling the average value of the knowledge ofmothers increased from 5.45 and pretes value postes value becomes 7.04, the minimum value of 2 to 5, and the maximum value of 8 to 10. In addition, the category of mothers who have good knowledge increased from 19% to 66% and vice versa lessknowledgeable (not both) from 81% down to 34%. Thus, there is increasing knowledgeof mothers about the menopause, prevention of menopause due to go live by the patternof healthy, balanced nutrition and regular exercise.]]>

<![CDATA[These community service activities program is a complete infrastructure ofteaching and learning activities like computer device, gives additional knowledgeand skills for teachers and students in computer field and use of simple applicationprograms so they can complete task or job use computer facilities and be motivatedto always follow the developments and advances in information technology, andencourage other parties to participate to provide assistance for other physical facilities. The problem faced by Islamic Elementary School Muhammadiyah and Islamic Elementary School Sraten Al Islam 2 Ngesrep Ngemplak Boyolali (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Sraten and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Islam 2 Ngesrep Ngemplak Boyolali ) is the absence of computers as a learning tool so that needs help and assistance are in the form of some form of computer training. Because of the availability of a number of computers that are not used in the Department of Architecture, Digital Architecture Laboratory FT-UMS and the availability of skilled human resource in the field of computers and training programs, so community service activities be held is in the form of computer assistance and training to Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah ) teachers and students. Results of the Community Service activity is the availability of facilities or learning tool are in the form of computers and knowledge from training activities so its help teachers and students to know, study simple application program, and continue to develop skills independently through these facilities.]]>

<![CDATA[Socialization purposes, namely (1) socialization that participants are able tounderstand and master the learning literature a gender perspective in terms ofcurriculum, teaching materials, and learning strategies in the classroom and (2)conducted a follow-up of this activity in the form of training activities, learningmaterials utilization literature a gender perspective. Socialization is given to highschool teachers and vocational as Surakarta. The method adopted in this traininginclude: seminars, frequently asked questions, and discussion. Socialization lastedone day with the number of participants 19 persons. Evaluation of this activity isdone in the process. During the training activities the participants enthusiastic,passionate, active and responsive. Through this socialization of teachers get thenecessary materials related strategies, methods and teaching materials literature agender perspective. The teachers are motivated to understand gender issues in acomprehensive manner. Insights teachers to manage learning an enjoyable literarygender perspective in the classroom increases. It is because any discussion of solutions of the constraints experienced by teachers in teaching literature a gender perspective.]]>

<![CDATA[Web is one medium that can be used by many activists in community organizations to actualize themselves and communicate effectively. Web Utilization Training for Muhammadiyah Youth in Kartasura branch is expected to provide knowledge into the importance of mastering Information Technology and increase the understanding of the web (Web Logs) as the more effective information tool (Amar Maâruf Nahi Munkar). The result shows that the implementation of the training is quite successful. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in providing feedback from the questionnaires delivered before and after the training. Furthermore, the training also shows an increasing knowledge in the use of the web as much as 64%.]]>

<![CDATA[Onion Agriculture has benefited farmers, but the benefits are very small ascompared with production costs that have been published. This is consistent with the results of research Rosyadi (2009) which states that the level of profit is not sufficient to meet the needs of peasant household economy. Or in other words, onion farm in the location of the study did not provide significant benefits for the economy of peasant households. To solve the problems encountered, partner activities and implementation team agreed that this method is appropriate is the format of training and consultancy services âImplementation of Working Capital Management At the Onion Farm.â Indicators of success of this activity can be seen from some important things that are revealed through in-depth interview participants. Based on in-depth interview is known that onion farmers to understand the importance of working capital management and practice how to manage working capital well, efficiently and effectively. IbM event has implications for government policy for the district soon realized: (a) the availability of new varieties that productive, adaptive and resistant to pests or diseases, (b) availability of production technology and management of quality seeds, the concept of quality assurance and standardization as the first step to build a national seed industry a strong and independent, (c) Availability of environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and efficient by utilizing local resources in an optimal and sustained to produce horticultural products are the opportunities and open to the emergence of a modern and efficient industrial facilities in various regions, (d ) The availability of pest or disease control technology based on the use of natural enemies and reducing synthetic pesticides as low as possible, (e) The availability of postharvest technology for efficient packaging, conservation of fresh quality, product diversification is associated with increased value-added horticultural industry. So the activity is generally considered a success based on in-depth interviews that reveal some things about: (i) working capital management with a good, efficient and effective, (ii) pass the cost efficiency of production, (iii) allocating cash and stock in order to maintain the sustainability of agricultural onion, ( iv) understand and can do proper financial planning and benefits of capital budgeting and (v) increase the working capital of onion farming.]]>

<![CDATA[Mathematics such as the assumption most people as a difficult lesson. This assumption is not entirely wrong because the average NEM value of elementary and middle school math is almost always located below the average value of the other lessons. The abstract nature of mathematics became the main obstacle to learning, especially for students who are still in the development of concrete or semi-concrete thinking. The situation is exacerbated by the use of methods which are still focused on the teacher (teacher center), not focused on students (child center) so that less activate students. Such conditions often found in schools both public and private. A reality that even when this has been attempted to improve the professionalism of teachers through workshops or upgrading, but the results can not be perceived by the public. Lesson study that is currently being developed in many universities believed to be able to increase the professionalism of teachers. Socialization and simulation results Leson Study conducted on January 13, 2010 against Elementary School teachers Gentan by the Development Team of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) and Lesson Study- UMS concluded that: (1) The teachers were very enthusiastic and active during the socialization and stimulation, (2) The teachers want to know more about the RME and Lesson Study, (3) is hoping for a follow up such training so that teachers can implement lesson study in class, and (4) most teachers believe: by applying the approach RME through Lesson Study will help improve studentsâ understanding of math that the edges will help improve academic achievement.]]>

<![CDATA[This training has several goals, namely to open insights, and observers of Indonesian teachers about gender equality in everyday life, giving insight to analyze the value of inequality/ gender equality, and compile teaching materials Indonesian perspective of gender equality. Implementation of this training method is applied in two stages: the preparation stage and implementation stage. Preparation stage includes internal coordination (: preparatory concepts, preparation of materials) and the coordination of external (: contacting a speaker, contact the PDM Surakarta, Surakarta Dikspora contacted, and invited the school). Implementation stage is the stage of core training employed by interactive lectures, questions and answers, and tutorials. Training lasted for one day and 13 participants attended junior secondary school teachers. Based on analysis of implementation of teacher understand the preparation of teaching materials Indonesian gender perspective. This is evident from the responses of the material, examples, and instructional materials containing ilutrasi gender inequality.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to develop and test an electronic learning system asan alternative learning media to read Al-Qurâan. The creation of this learning systemhas through some steps. The steps are references searching, data collecting, systematic creating, and testing. This process involves data collecting from tajwid books and video recording. The capacity of this system is 179 MB including 1.655 files consisting of 1 .exe file. 769 .swf files, 734 .flv video files, 151 mp3 files, and 3 folders. The resulted video has an extention .flv which has a size as big as 250 x 180 pixel. Frame Rate 15 fps, and Bit Rate 260 kbps. The resulted audio extents mp3 that has a Bit Rate 128 kbps, stereo channel and resolusion 16 bit. The questioners that are devided to the 20 users show that this programm is better and completer than tajwid books sold.]]>

<![CDATA[Hypertension is a degenerative disease that affects nearly 25% of the populationaround the world today and is a risk factor of cardiovascular disease. Geriatric(elderly) in Indonesia is a group of residents that become the focus of attention because of the number of elderly is increase, and brought variety of health problems.Hypertension can be treated with pharmacological treatment and lifestyle improvements with the correct knowledge based. Hypertension will be a problem ifelderly people are not guided and equipped with proper knowledge regarding thehealth of hypertension.SimakBaca secara fonetik The purpose of this activity is toimprove knowledge and attitudes about hypertension of rural elderly in GantunganMakamhaji Kartasura Sukoharjo. Health education about hypertension is given bylectures and discussion method. Evaluation used questionnaire that consist of 35questions, which was considered one if the answer is correct and zero if the answer is incorrect using pre-test and post-test about hypertension The results obtained bydescriptive mean. There is an increasing value of knowledge average abouthypertension after administration of education from 4.46 to 13.97 and attitudes average about hypertension from 3.49 to 9.90 Based on the result, health education institutions should cooperate with health service institutions to give information about hypertension through periodic health education. And government health institutions should expand health education focusing on elderly through Posyandu Lansia.]]>
