Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the WhatsApp application in online learning during COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis uses the Miles Huberman and Saldana model, researchers explore data using google form to 27 respondents consisting of MI teachers in Soko-Tuban. The results of this research indicate that the use of the WhatsApp application can act as an alternative solution to online learning problems, although not all problems can be solved by using WhatsApp application, however, WhatsApp application plays a role in 6 of the 16 online learning problems in MI teachers in Soko Tuban. The problems that can be solved by using WhatsApp application are 1) the implementation of the distance learning process is not yet ready; 2) lack of mastery of technology for parents, educators, and students; 3) lack of student interest in online learning; 4) Less than optimal delivery of material using online media; 5) limited time for teaching and learning process; and 6) lack of communication between students, educators and parents. These results are expected to be an evaluation of the extent to which the use of WhatsApp application plays a role in problems online learning, besides that teachers and all related components can maximize the use of the WhatsApp application as an alternative solution to some of the existing problems.

Abstract

In fact, the success of the learning implementation process at SD / MI still relies on classroom teachers. So that absolutely has not provided the opportunity for students to develop independently through the process skills they have acquired. One of the successes of learning is reflected in the science process skills that the teacher implements to construct students' understanding. Science process skills are closely related to teacher professionalism. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between science process skills and teacher professionalism in SD / MI. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected through observation, group discussions and field assessments by distributing questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of science process skills on teacher professionalism shows a good category. However, this good category is measured based on the average score of all aspects of science process skills on teacher professionalism. The correlation between science process skills and teacher professionalism is shown in the indicator of science process skills observing and inferring to professional competence, where when science process skills in observing aspects and inference show a percentage of 71.5%, it will have an impact on professional competence which shows a percentage of 71%, it means that science process skills are closely related to teacher professionalism. In addition, indicators of science process skills such as classification, interpreting, predicting, and communicating in good categories have an impact on teacher professional competence with pedagogic, personality and social indicators. This shows that teachers with good science poses skills will show teacher professionalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is First, describing the educational value of KH Abdullah Sajjad from Madura on elementary school/MI students. Second, describe the strategy of implementing the education value of KH Abdullah Sajjad uses comic learning in elementary school. This research method uses a qualitative approach that orates to the exposure of education implementation of the value of heroes from students or caregivers. The educational values of KH heroism Abdullah was time to disseminate, especially to elementary school-aged children and ibtidaiyah. From the data obtained, KH. Abdullah Sajjad bequeathed the values of leadership, courage, spirit of nationalism and patriots, togetherness and responsibility, love of the homeland, willing to sacrifice selflessly.

Abstract

Since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the Indonesian government, the learning system has undergone adjustments. Learning from home with an online system is an alternative solution that can be applied. The research describes the results of developing interactive multimedia based on mobile devices. This development aims to provide a variety of learning media that can be collaborated with online methods. The research subjects were fourth-grade students, SDN 1 Babat Jerawat Surabaya. The development model used is an adaptation of Lee Owens. The development product was tested on media experts, material experts, and potential users. The trial aims to measure the validity of the media. The validation results from media experts obtained 88.24%, material expert validation obtained a score of 90.38%, and user trials obtained a score of 79.89%. Furthermore, the effectiveness of using media in learning is measured by conducting pre-tests and post-test on students. The percentage increase in the value obtained a score of 95%. Thus the interactive multimedia based on mobile devices developed has high effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of bil-qolam in learning the Qur'an for elementary school age students (SD) and its effect on the ability to read the Qur'an. An experimental quantitative approach was used in this study involving 40 students in grade 4, consisting of grades 3 and 4 of elementary school. Research subjects were divided into two groups as experimental and control groups. The results of this study indicate that the application of the bil-qolam method is considered effective in increasing students' competence in reading the Qur'an, especially in the fields of tajwid, fashohah and langgam. The data obtained from the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test that has been carried out by researchers, namely the average post-test score of the experimental group has an increase in the arithmetical average of 17.85 and the control group has an increase in the pre-test. This proves that the bil-qolam method has an effect on improving the ability to read the Qur'an for elementary school age students.

Abstract

The development of thematic textbooks at the elementary school level with the basis of religious characters has been developed based on the facts in the field that thematic textbooks are very lacking, especially for students studying at Islamic-based primary level schools by accommodating thematic and character learning at once. The result of this development product is a thematic textbook at the elementary school level based on religious characters for students in class 4 elementary schools on the theme 9 sub-theme 1 in accordance with integrative thematic learning, namely Makananku Sehat dan Bergizi. This development design model adopted Dick and Lou Carey. The results at the product validation stage were as follows, 1) the material expert gave a value of 85.00%, 2) the linguist gave a score of 85.00%, 3) the media and learning design expert gave a value of 86.66%, 4) the learning practitioner or the class 4 homeroom teacher gave a value of 86.66%. The results of the product trials are as follows, 1) individual trials give a value of 90.00%, 6) small group trials get a value of 91.67%, 7) field trials get a value of 93.29%. While the t-test of religious character through the pre-test showed an average acquisition of 2.41 or 60.29% and a post-test score of 3.06 or 76.47% in character qualifications that have been seen or cultured. The difference in value increased by 0.65 or 16.18%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the visionary leadership model in shaping the character of student achievement in SD Unggulan Al-Ya'lu Malang. This research uses descriptive qualitative. Retrieval of data using observation, interviews and documentation. Observations are used to support the leadership process announced by the vision in the form of actions, documentation used to measure vision planning for students and interviews that are used to explore the development policy of school principals, deputy principals and teachers to students at school. This data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on this study the results of school development research involving people who see the school through the example of the principal and learning teachers use contextual learning. Means of learning support the ecosystem that is built, namely the synergy of the three learning environments, family, school and community.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that some students with special needs in these schools have difficulty working on hots-based questions, at that school there is also no teaching materials specifically for children with special needs who attend regular schools, so that students experience learning difficulties because the teaching materials are not suitable. with the characteristics of students with special needs. The objectives of this study include: 1) Describing the validity of teaching materials in inclusive education settings, 2) Describing the increase in critical thinking skills of students with special needs between before and after using teaching materials, 3) Describing the responses of students with special needs to teaching materials in inclusive education settings. Research and development uses a model adapted by Borg and Gall. Of the ten development steps, the researcher only applies seven development. steps. The results of this development indicate 1) the module specification consists of cover, author words, table of contents, material, evaluation questions, and author's bio. The results of the research were 82% content experts with good qualifications, 86% learning media experts with good qualifications, 82% learning experts with good qualifications. 2) The results of the attractiveness of teaching materials, the researcher conducted a post test in the experimental class to 4 students with a percentage achievement of 82% with good qualifications. This shows that the use of teaching materials has reached attractive and valid criteria. Analysis of the data used by the Independent Samples T-Test with the SPSS 16 tool and the Sig 0.048 0.05, then Ho was rejected, meaning that there was a difference in learning outcomes from students who had used teaching materials. So it can be concluded that the use of teaching materials in an inclusive education setting can improve the critical thinking skills of students with special needs.
