Abstract

Teaching about the concepts of conduction and radiation heat transfer in SMK is still difficult for students to understand. The learning process by the teacher has not used the right learning media with the subject being taught. This study aims to increase the understanding of the students of SMK class X TPTU on the subject of conduction and radiation heat transfer through the use of a bulb kit as a learning medium. The method used is quantitative with an experimental research design of one group pretest-posttest design. The respondents involved in this study were 20 students of class X TPTU. The process of validating the bulb kit learning media was carried out by two media experts. The results showed that student learning outcomes have increased by 30%, with a comparison of the average pretest score obtained is 56 with an average posttest score of 86. The use of the bulb kit learning media has made students more active, interested and involved in interacting with the teacher. with a pleasant atmosphere.

Abstract

Online learning as a concept certainly has several variables, one of which is student learning motivation. This study aims to determine how much influence caused by online learning via WhatsApp on students' learning motivation and to find out whether online learning has a significant effect and has a positive or negative relationship on students' learning motivation. The author raised the topic of this study after conducting a survey to 15 students and seeing the facts in the form of learning outcomes which indicated a lack of student motivation in online learning. The design of this study used a mix method approach. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire, observation, interview and data analysis using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that online learning via WhatsApp had a significant influence and had a positive relationship on students' learning motivation, as well as an influence of 55,7% on students' learning motivation, 60.6% on students' desire to carry out learning activities, 30.4% on students' interest in learning activities, 25.7% on encouragement of students to carry out learning activities, 15.2% of the needs of students to carry out learning activities, 8.2% of the students' expectations to achieve their goals, 17.6% of students' desire to achieve their goals, 28.8% of self respect, 18.7% to the attractiveness of learning activities, by 28.3% to the conduciveness of the learning environment.

Abstract

The purpose of designing the special service tools (SST) for motorcycle timing gear is to make it easier for mechanics to carry out the process of removing the motorcycle timing gear. The process of making this tool is carried out in several stages, including the selection of materials and the manufacturing process. The material used is S30C steel because this material has a maximum tensile strength of 48 Kg/mm. The tools used in the manufacturing process include lathes, drilling machines, grinders, saws, files, vise, hacksaws, steel rulers, pins, key sets. The measurement of the material to be used is attempted as accurately as possible in order to obtain the best results. After the required materials are available, then work on the machine tools is carried out. After this stage is complete then proceed with the finishing process. The test results show that with this tool the process of removing the timing gear on the crankshaft only takes 35.26 seconds and avoids damage to the components. The bending stress that occurs in the turning rod is still below the allowable, which is about 6.32 kg/mm. The shear stress that occurs at the hook eye is also still below the allowable, which is about 0.105 kg/mm2. The torsional stress on the pressing bolt is 0.11 kg/mm2 which is still below the allowable 4.8 kg/mm2. The root shear stress on the pressing bolt is still below the allowable, which is about 0.016 kg/mm. The root shear stress on the hook eye is still below the allowable, which is about 0.013 kg/mm. The tensile stress on the thread that occurs in the pressure bolt is still below the allowable tensile stress on the thread on the bolt, which is 0.26 Kg/mm2. The tensile stress on the thread that occurs at the hook eye is still below the allowable, which is about 0.055 kg/mm2. The tensile stress that occurs in the towing pipe is still below the allowable, which is about 0.038 kg/mm. Based on this, overall the tool is safe to use

Abstract

This study aims to create an android-based learning media that is feasible to be applied in research and used in assisting the learning process and to determine the effect of using learning media in increasing student understanding of Diesel Motor courses, this is because face-to-face learning is replaced by online learning The two-way learning process is difficult to do and causes a lack of understanding of students regarding Diesel Motor courses, to overcome this, interesting and interactive learning media are needed. The method in this study uses RD (Research and Development) with a learning media development model in the form of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), and uses aresearch one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique with the research subject of 2019 Automotive Engineering Education undergraduate students who were contracting Diesel Motor courses, researchers took a sample of 40 people. The learning media products that have been made are suitable for use based on the validation of material experts and media experts with very feasible categories. The results of this study indicate an increase in learning outcomes when viewed from the average pre-test score of 31.20 and the average post-test score of 37.80 as well as the acquisition of a significance test using the t-test (Paired Sample t-test). with a significance value of 0.000, this increase is caused by the use of learning media that has been made, so the use of this learning media has a good impact in increasing student understanding of the Diesel motor course, in addition, this learning media also adds insight to students in using technology, especially Android for learning purposes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning motivation of students in online learning using Google Classroom in the subject of Basic Automotive Engineering (PDTO). The research method used is descriptive quantitative with ex post facto design. The research instrument used a validation questionnaire, a learning motivation questionnaire, and documentation. The research sample was students of class X TKRO 1 at SMKN 7 Baleendah. Determination of the sample by means of purposive sampling technique. The results showed that students' learning motivation was motivated by 72% and learning outcomes were below the KKM (75) with an average score of 54. The conclusion of this study is that learning motivation alone is not enough to get good learning outcomes. There are other factors that can influence, such as the way students absorb knowledge and how to organize and process the information or knowledge they acquire.

Abstract

Covid-19 cases spread throughout the world. This Covid-19 case has disturb to all aspects of life, even the education sector has been affected. The government’s efforts to continue the learning process with distance learning (online)  as known as online learning. Expansion of this technology has begun to be used by several schools in Indonesia to implementation of their educational programs, as known as e-learning. One of them is using LMS Moddle. LMS Moddle supports to submit of learning materials, assessment, collaboration and interaction between teacher and student. Aircraft Component Machining subject were delivered by distance learning model in Vocational High School. This study aims to determine improvement of student learning outcomes with the application of online learning models. The design of this study uses Quasi-Experimental Design with Equivalent Time Series types. The research sample was 30 students from class XI Vocational High School at Bandung. The application of the syntax of the online learning model contains five steps of the learning process, namely performance support materials, self-paced learning, live events, collaboration, and assessment. The results of the study based on average value of N-gain showed that student learning outcomes had increased. User response online learning models are include in interesting category.
