Abstract

Teacher - center method more widely used in the learning process but knowledge gained students less than the maximum. Therefore, The researcher intended to carry out the process of learning that guides the students discover the concept through their own behavior so that the results are more meaningful and is expected to increase the achievement. This research aimed to describe the effect of the application of Guided Discovery model to the students’ achievement, both affective (scientific attitude), psychomotor, and cognitive, as well as to determine the linkages between these aspects. This research was designed using "True Experimental Design" conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Pucuk. The data obtained was the pre-test, post-test, and scores of psychomotor and affective abilities. Furthermore, the data were analyzed with statistical consisting of normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing, and regression and correlation analysis. Post-test results were analyzed by t-test. T-test results obtained by the two parties –t­table t ttable shows the differences between control and experimental class. The t-test results obtained by the right parties  tcalculation≥ ttable (α= 0.05) showed that results for students in the experimental class is better than the control class. It can be concluded that the application of Guided Discovery model can improve the students’ achievement in the material of motion in SMP Negeri 1 Pucuk. The increase in value of the students’ psychomotor and affective effect on the increase in value of the students’ cognitive.

Abstract

Environmental conditions are increasingly worrying to make all parties, not least educational practitioners, want give to overcome it. One that can be done is by presenting a learning process that is more concerned about the environment. In science education, the Green Chemistry approach integrated into laboratory activities is expected to address these challenges. Therefore, this study aims to develop a practice Module based on Green Chemistry approach that can be used by prospective students of science teachers as guidance to carry out safe and environmentally friendly lab work on Basic Chemistry course. This research method is Research and Development (RD). The aim of this research is the feasibility of the module based on expert assessment (lecturer of Chemistry) and students. The data of the research were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis shows that the developed practice Module is very feasible to be implemented in Basic Chemistry learning because it received an assessment with the category of "very good" from the chemistry lecturer on the three aspects of content, instructions and conformity with the principle of Green Chemistry and get a very positive response from Student responses as users of the module.Keywords: Module lab, Chemistry Basic, Approach of Green Chemistry, student of science teacher candidate

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-learning fisika menggunakan PhET (Physics Educational Technology) berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi pokok dinamika gerak lurus. Kelebihan PhET antara lain memiliki aktivitas perkuliahan (lecture), aktivitas kelompok (group activities), aktivitas pekerjaan rumah (homework activities), dan aktivitas laboratorium (laboratory activities). Pengembangan e-learning fisika pada penelitian ini mengikuti langkah-langkah research and development (RD) yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain (design), pengembangan (develop) dan implementasi. Tahap analisis yaitu identifikasi potensi dan masalah pembelajaran fisika dasar, karakteristik mahasiswa dan analisis tugas. Tahap desain yaitu blueprint e-learning fisika menggunakan simulasi PhET sebagai acuan mengembangkan perkuliahan antara lain menentukan tujuan pembelajaran sesuai kurikulum KKNI, memilih strategi pembelajaran (aktivitas perkuliahan, aktivitas tugas kelompok, aktivitas pekerjaan rumah, aktivitas laboratorium) media dan penilaian. Tahap pengembangan perangkat e-learning fisika antara lain RPS, SAP, modul fisika dasar materi pokok dinamika gerak lurus, dan Lembar Penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis. Perangkat e-learning fisika divalidasi oleh dosen pendidikan fisika. Hasil validasi SAP, modul fisika dan lempar penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis memiliki kategori sangat layak digunakan dallam pembelajaran. Tahap implementasi yaitu ujicoba e-learning fisika menggunakan PhET pada mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika STKIP PGRI Bangkalan semester I tahun ajaran 2016-2017, keterlaksanaan SAP dalam pembelajaran memiliki kategori baik, indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa meningkat dan respon mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran e-learning fisika menggunakan PhET positif.

Abstract

Mathematic ability is indispensable for understanding and solving problems in Physics tasks. Based on the importance of the mathematic ability, the curriculum of Natural Science Education Program consists of mathematics courses namely Mathematics I and II. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of learning outcomes in Mathematics dan physics courses on the topic of Basic Substance, Heat and Optics. This study was conducted on the bachelor students of Natural Science Education Program on academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 3 classes that are class A, B and C. Students have covered the course of Mathematics I, Mathematics II and physics. Data obtained by documentation technique. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant correlation between the learning result of Mathematics subject and the result of physics course study. The correlation index between Mathematics I and physics is 0.52; 0.34 and 0.23 for class A, B and C. While the correlation index between Mathematics II and physics are 0.27; 0.34 and 0.28 for classes A, B and C. Keywords: Correlation, Mathematic abiliy, Physics

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika B 2012 melalui penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam perkuliahan TKF II pada materi Fluida. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam dua siklus tindakan kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini diawali dengan observasi dan penentuan tindakan (melalui kegiatan observasi pendahuluan dan diagnosis), perencanaan pembelajaran, siklus I pembelajaran, refleksi dan evaluasi, perencanaan pembelajaran untuk siklus II, siklus II pembelajaran, refleksi dan evaluasi, dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan pelaporan. Indikator keberhasilan pembelajaran TKF II adalah terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika kelas B 2012. Setelah dilakukan pembelajaran sesuai dengan desain penelitian tindakan kelas, diperoleh data hasil belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor mahasiswa. Pada siklus I, rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa sebesar 66,88, afektif sebesar 3,00, dan hasil belajar psikomotor sebesar 3,25. Pada siklus II memiliki rata-rata 77,68 untuk hasil belajar kognitif, untuk afektif sebesar 3,65, dan untuk psikomotor sebesar 3,75. Secara statistik, hasil belajar mahasiswa tersebut diuji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan diperoleh bahwa nilai signifikansi hasil belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor kurang dari 0,005. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siklus I dan siklus II pembelajaran TKF II baik ranah kognitif, afektif, maupun psikomotor.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Guided Discovery based teaching learning package to facilitate the critical and creative thinking skills. These teaching learning package were implemented in two phases, namely the development of the model 4-P (4-D Models) and the implementation on 30 students of VII grade of Mujahidin Junior High School of Surabaya, using one group pretest-posttest design. Data was analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that Guided Discovery based teaching learning package valid and good, critical and creative thinking skills increased. Validation result are for RPP 3.87, LKS 3.87, students book 3.59, learning outcomes test 3.87, critical thinking skills test 3.64, thinking critical and creative skills assessment form 3.63. The students mastery of learning outcomes was with proportion of 80,70%. Based on the data it can be concluded that the Guided Discovery based teaching learning package can improve students critical and creative thinking skills, and to improve students mastery of learning outcomes. Keywords: Creative Thinking Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Guided Discovery.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan media E-book berekstensi epub didalam smartphone sebagai media belajar yang bersifat inovatif sebagai upaya memanfaatkan kegemaran siswa menggunakan smartphone agar tetap belajar. Tujuan penelitian jangka panjang diharapkan dapat mengurangi beban pendidik dalam menyajikan informasi dalam pembelajaran karena diwakili dengan adanya e-book, dapat mengefektifkan dan mengefisienkan waktu pembelajaran karena tidak harus membawa banyak buku bacaan dalam bentuk fisiknya yang berat, dan dapat membantu memudahkan siswa belajar karena fitur multimedia dapat menjadi tutor. Penelitian penerapan media e-book berekstensi epub untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa smp pada mata pelajaran ipa termasuk kedalam jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa data kuantitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil angket respon siswa dan tes kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa implementasi E-book berekstensi.epub dapat meningkatkan minat belajar sangat baik sebesar 88,61% dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan kriteria tinggi berupa gain score sebesar 0,703 pada pembelajaran IPA SMP.

Abstract

The main aim of this research is to apply a cooperative learning model that is cooperative learning model type TGT (Team Game Tournament) to increase student activity and motivation in biodiversity material, implemented in SMP Negeri 1 Kokop Bangkalan. As the subject of this class action research is the students of class VIID with 31 students. Based on the results of classroom action research that has been done, it can be concluded that science learning material of diversity of living creatures by using cooperative learning model TGT, learning activities and student motivation increased this can be seen from the test of student learning outcomes in the form of prestest and posttest. And the average value of questionnaire of motivation has given positive respons. It means motivation student increasing.
