Abstract

The wealth in the Islamic perspective has an important roles to support the worship of human beings. Wealth is not the only goal, but one of the facilities for and provision to serve Allah. For human life in the world, one of the really matters is wealth, where wealth is all things owned a man, it has value and can be utilized for it to meet the life which included money used as the means of payment. Endowments have rooted in the Islamic community, and become supporter to the development Ummah. This can be seen on the fact that almost all of the worship, Islamic universities and religious Islamic institutions be built in land endowments.

Abstract

Discussion in ethics of business activity poped out to minimize cheating and fraud. But actually, business ethics felt difficult to apply in practice. Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor as one of the self-help Islamic Boarding Schools supported by cooperatives in pesantren (koppontren) in their activities. This paper aims to understand the application of Islamic buseness ethic in Koppontren La-Tansa Gontor. This research uses mix method which is sequential explanatory design and case study, questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation used to collecting data in this research. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of this research can be explained as: first, La-Tansa cooperatives sector Gontor can run the business activities with the implementation of business ethics according to the Qur’an and Sunnah values. Appear from the height understanding of the business to the axiom business ethics and the height application in business activities in each business sector. Second, the character of kyai and business unit supervisor are high. According to the data, showed that a level of the heigh direction is 80 persent and control on the application of business ethics is 72 percent. Thus, the Islamic buseness ethic can be applied on firm’s and goverment’s law with height understanding and controlling.

Abstract

Syariah financing people bank so called as BPRS, give warranty to the borowers , that every operations free of elements gambling (maysir), uncertainty (gharar), and interest (riba). Warranty with a certain step to give an explanation and information of all the aspect of operational done by BPRS can be called as the transparency. Thus, improving the transparency in BPRS need to optimized. Transparency which includes a whole operational activities with the stakeholders need to be enhanced, because the lack of transparency could caused to uncertainty (gharar) that impact to the faith of stakeholders. This study aimed to explore in depth views relating to two things; first, the development of transparency on BPRS; especially in operational activities businesses and correlation with the stakeholders. Second, the role of information technology in the process of transparency, and its impact on BPRS or the National Economy.

Abstract

As a natural situation, the Islamic banking industry not only have a chance, but also the various problems such as problem on products giro and saving syariah based on wadi’ah. In wadi’ah saving, bank syariah receive trustful saving from the client and distributing it to use it optimally. Actually, the use of trustful saving (wadi’ah) is forbidden, but what is applied in the banking industry is wadi’ah used to any project of business. From this point of view, this kind of application more relevant to qard contract than wadi’ah. The purpose of Islamic law  (maqasid al-shari’ah) is to ensure the wealth (hifz al-mal) embodied in the product save deposit box. In save deposit box, wealth entrusted in bank, stored in a special place, that are guarded by the bank. At the level of primary (al-daruriyah), safeguarding the wealth is a basic need for Muslim. So that, the sustainability of safeguarding of wealth should be championed.

Abstract

Islam is a universal religion that regulates all dimensions of human life both; the world and the hereafter. Islam has also arranged economic problems since Islam was revealed through the Prophet Muhammad. Al-Quran and al-Hadith as the main reference of sharia economic thought. Islamic finance has become an economic system that was born along with the birth of Islam, but only this decade Islamic economic system become trending topic of discussion. Considering followers conventional notions began to look at the economic system of Syariah. In the era of globalization, there are a tendency in economic development for more attention to ethics in economic activity. This paper aims to explore in depth discussion on the trend of global economic and its development at the same time, reveals the opportunities and challenges in the economic development of sharia in the context of global economic development era.

Abstract

To fulfill of human need along with progress in science and engineering, appear various development in business, especially in food and beverage indutry. As efforts to meet the increase in needs, appear respons among supplier, with the various way, to meet various needs. In this context , done the addition of a chemical substance on the material food often known with food additive. But with progress, the hazardous materials that should not was suitable to consume added into food processing and drink. On the other hand, for a profit maximization, entrepreneurs didn’t see risk resulting from food products. The government had done various regulation to protect the consumer from the use of dangerous materials in food production. But the fact, the widespread a breach that occurs demanding a different approach to fix them. In order to alleviate this problem, the religion call a concept in different sides, spiritual element be important aspect to presented in the territories of material business to affect attitude the people of the activities daily life

Abstract

Poin utama dari keseluruhan topik dalam buku ini adalah; praktik ‘rent seeking’ yang berdampak terhadap kesenjangan pendapatan, dan selanjutnya mengakibatkan kegagalan pasar dan krisis ekonomi. Istilah‘rent seeking’ merupakan istilah yang digunakan oleh Joseph E. Stiglitz dalam buku ini, yang ditujukan kepada beberapa oknum pengusaha pada ekonomi Amerika Serikat yang senantiasa mendapatkan keuntungan tanpa usaha, dan tak acuh terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Penulis menyebutnya sebagai ‘pencari (uang) yang tamak’. Namun jika dilihat dari esensinya, perilaku seperti ini di Indonesia sangat mirip dengan ‘rentenir’.

Abstract

Welfare become the trending topic of the economy from the country. One of the reasons why the country exist is to ensure welfare, just and equality for its citizens. To achieve welfare, required a symbiotic mutalisme between the government as a society and the state. Hence, direct assistance shaped material from the government to public is not a solution. Thus community empowerment is required. Islam as komperhensif teaching which implemented community empowerment since the first time. Where the messenger united between supporters and emigrants and empower them in order to achieve prosperity. The type of this research is library research with the normative descriptive methods. The result shows that the people in community empowerment evenly distributed in some principle which has been implemented by the messenger in an effort to da’wah Islamiyyah. Those principle are: justice, equality, participation, award, and helping others (ta’awun). The model of empowerment, used approach parsial-kontinu and a structural approach so as to achieve three dimensions the Muslim community, which is: faith dimensions, science dimensions and the social dimension.
