<![CDATA[This study aims to overcome the lack of students’ history awareness through the application of local culture of Kenduri Sko as a learning resource. The research was conducted in class X IS 3 SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci. The method used is Classroom Action Research. The results showed that: (1) teachers have implemented learning in accordance with the design of learning; (2) learning history using local culture of Kenduri Sko as a learning resource has succeeded in increasing the awareness of learners' history that is knowledge and understanding of learners about cultural change, interest in history study, pride of local culture; (3) constraints faced by partner teachers is to measure the attitudes and behaviors of learners.]]>

<![CDATA[In 2009 Jayapura Village was hit by an earthquake with a strength of 7.3 on the Richter Scale. Many homes were damaged by the quake. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the utilization of bamboo as a home building material with environmental preservation behavior of Jayapura Village residents. The study population was 1,367 heads of households with a sample of 137 families. The method used in this research is using sequential mixed methods. The result of the research shows that there is a correlation between the two things which is indicated by the correlation value of 0,501 (medium correlation).]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to overcome the lack of communication skills of students in social studies activities such as asking and expressing opinions. The study was conducted in Al Qalam Depok Islamic Junior High School in the even semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research which refers to the design pattern of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in communication skills after learning in three cycles were performed. In addition, there is an increase in learning outcomes of students. The conclusion of this research is the use of Jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve the communication skills of learners.]]>

<![CDATA[The economic force in Tasikmalaya City is dominated by trading and processing indus-tries through trade, hotel and restaurant sector. To compensate the increase of those economic sector, the quality and quantity of traditional markets necessary to be more improved. This study aims to analyze the direction of development of traditional mar-ket location in Tasikmalaya City. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The data used are primary and secondary data collected through observation, field survey, interview, and literature study. Population and sample in this research is community around market by using Random Sampling method. Result of research indicate that development of location of Traditional Market in Tasikmalaya City is in accordance with Spatial Plan of Area (RTRW) Tasikmalaya City. The form of market development is to improve the quality of market facilities in order to compete with the super market.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to: (1) know the teacher's understanding about the concept of Geography as a platform in Social Studies learning; (2) know the teacher's understanding about geography literacy as a platform in Social Studies learning; and (3) study the right literacy concept as platform for Social Studies lesson. This research uses survey method. The subjects of the study were Social Studies teachers in Surakarta City. Sampling using startified random sampling. The results showed: 1) 76% of respondents do not understand about Geography as a platform in Social Studies learning; 2) 80% of respondents have not understood geography literacy; 3) Edelson's geography literature which consist of interaction, interconnection, and implication components can be used as an alternative to the implementation of Geography policy as a Platform in Social Studies.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the implementation of curriculum 2013 on subjects integrated Social Science in Malang 1 Islamic Public Junior High School. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Collecting data has done through observation, interview and documentation study. The results showed that in general the implementation of Curriculum 2013 on Social Science subjects in Malang 1 Islamic Public Junior High School using an integrated scientific approach. Social Science teachers are still experiencing some obstacles and adjust to the real conditions in the field. This is evidenced in implementing learning Social Science teachers already using a scientific approach, but most of the integrated Social Science only occurs in the classroom so do not provide concrete learning experiences for students.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze national identity in history textbook at the level of senior high school. History textbooks contain material that influenced by ideology which closely related to national identity. The ideology is shown as a manifestation of the nation through history textbooks. The method used to find out the discourse of national identity in textbooks using Fairclough critical discourse analysis to analyze the contents and discourses of national identity in history textbooks. The results showed that the influence of the government is very strong on sample of history textbook. The influence is seen from the planting of the state ideology as a form of government obligation in an effort to shape the character and personality of the nation. In addition, it is done to strengthen national identity through education.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to design and develop the feasibility of scientific approach-based students’ worksheet to improve four graders’ problem-solving skills on surrounding environment issues. This study was conducted using Research and Development (RD) method which produces scientific approach-based students’ worksheet. Practicality of this students’ worksheet based on learning practice showed excellent result. This scientific approach-based students’ worksheet can be used to teach and improve students’ problem-solving skills on surrounding environment in the fourth grade of Elementary School. This case is proved by good performance of students in solving problems related to their surrounding environment with a percentage of 81% which shows very high category.]]>

<![CDATA[Dieng Temple site in the highlands of Central Java has not been used as a source of learning history. The site can be used to bring learners closer to their environment. This study aims to improve the historical comprehension of learners through the use of Dieng Temple site as a source of historical learning. This research is a Classroom Action Research in Public High School 1 Wonosobo. Data were collected by observation, inter-view and documentation. The results showed that the learning process of history through Dieng Temple site can provide the ability to learners to interpret the literal meaning of Dieng Temple by using their own language. This makes students able to understand the history of existing sites in the Dieng area. Understanding the history has been raising awareness of learners to take part in maintaining the sustainability of Dieng temple site.]]>
