Abstract

Preparing the young for membership is a central function of education. For better or worse, education influences human perspectives, actions, and relationships. Social Studies learning is a scientific field that cannot be separated from its role in solving problems that occur in society. Students will participate as agents of change in society that have knowledge, insights, attitudes, and understandings that are upholding sustainability. However, social studies learning is considered to not be able to maximize its role in preparing students to have competencies to support sustainability. It has not been able to maximize the role of students in society, and social studies re hereditary and still considered an elusive and boring lesson. For this reason, social studies need more Authentic Learning, which simulates a real-world environment by making it a source and a medium of learning, so that the context and allowance are used with similar situations, meaningful and connected to the real world by applying transdisciplinary learning. This paper contains a literature review on the application of learning in social studies learning to prepare students to live in harmony with the sustainable living. This literature studies refer to the theoretical aspects of : transdisciplinary learning, social studies within transdisciplinary learning, and learning outcomes related to sustainable living.

Abstract

Setiap keluarga pasti menginginkan sebuah kesempurnaan. Dimana kesempurnaan ini dapat dilihat dari rohani yang mengarah kepada keharmonisan keluara dan jasmani yang mengacu kepada fisik keluarga. Tetapi manusia hanya mampu meminta dan berusaha. Tuhanlah yang memberikan hasilnya, baik itu melalui rezeki atau pun keturunan. Salah satunya adalah anak yang memiliki mental disorder. Mental disorder adalah suatu keadaan perilaku abnormal yang meliputi gangguan pada fungsi mental yang tidak berjalan dengan seharusnya. Anak-anak seperti ini harus diperlakukan secara khusus, tidak terkecuali mengenai pendidikan. Tidak hanya pendidikan dari luar tetapi pendidikan dari dalam pula. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kulitatif deskriptif. Pada metode ini peneliti sebagi kunci utama dalam pengambilan sumber data yang dan akan menghasilkan sebuah data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tulisan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peran orangtua sudah cakap dalam memberikan pendidikan kepada anak melalui sekolah luar biasa dan tidak hanya anak yang mendapatkan pendidikan tetapi ornagtua juga. Selain disekolah, orangtua pula tetap memberikan asupan pendidikan dirumah.

Abstract

The spread of schools in disaster-prone areas increases the risk of students’ fatalities. Data on the level of preparedness between elementary, junior high and senior high school students is urgently needed to see appropriate approach for improving students’ preparedness. This study used descriptive method inwhich surveys was used as the data collection technique. Data consist of primary and secondary evidence. The data were analyzed using standard depiction of charters, LIPI and UNESCO parameters. The sample consisted of elementary, junior high, and senior high school students in Pangandaran District. Based on the results of t test, it was found that there are significant differences between the level of preparedness of elementary and junior high school students, there are significant differences between the preparedness of elementary and senior high school students, and there is no significant difference between the preparedness of junior and senior high school students. There is a fact that the the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia and teachers are those contributing to the students’ preparedness level.

Abstract

Kota Palu merupakan salah satu kawasan seismik aktif di Indonesia. Tingginya tingkat aktivitas kegempaan di kawasan ini tidak lepas dari lokasinya yang berada pada zona benturan tiga lempeng tektonik utama dunia, yaitu Indo-Australia, Eurasia dan Pasifik. Kerusakan bangunan pun menjadi salah satu masalah yang diakibatkan gempa bumi dan likuifaksi. Banyaknya bangunan seperti gedung pemerintah, fasilitas pendidikan, fasilitas ibadah dan kesehatan menjadi dampak yang diakibatkan gempa. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis ata terhadap assessment kondisi kerusakan bangunan. Data bangunan yang telah diambil akan diolah menggunakan metode Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW). Pola Sebaran kerusakan bangunan yang dianalisis menggunakan metode Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) dapat dipetakan. Nilai klasifikasi kerusakan yang tersebar merata akan memberikan hasil yang lebih mendekati kondisi sebenarnya. Penilaian Cepat Visual dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kerusakan sesuai standar nilai klasifikasi kerusakan yang ditetapkan

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendekonstruksi materi pembelajaran sejarah di Kepulauan Riau yang a-historis terhadap eksistensi Orang laut dalam sejarah lokal di wilayah ini.    Sebagai salah satu wilayah kepulauan yang ada di Indonesia, rekam jejak sejarah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau tidak akan terlepas dari kehadiran Orang Laut sebagai aktor yang bermain dalam membesarkan dunia maritim Nusantara sejak abad ke-7 Masehi. Keahlian Orang Laut dalam bertempur di laut dan di darat menjadi faktor kunci dalam mengamankan jalur perdagangan masa itu yang berhasil menarik minat bangsa-bangsa asing untuk berlayar ke perairan Nusantara. Orang Laut adalah pasukan tempur andalan Sriwijaya. Di masa Kesultanan Malakka dan Johor, Orang Laut menduduki posisi penting sebagai hulubalang dan panglima kerajaan yang sangat dihormati. Kegemilangan Orang Laut dan kejayaan Orang Laut yang terlupakan inilah yang akan dielaborasi dalam tulisan ini sebagai penguatan sejarah lokal di Kepulauan Riau yang sangat dekat dengan budaya maritim. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di dalam buku teks yang tersaji di sekolah kebesaran sejarah maritim Indonesia eksistensi Orang Laut terpinggirkan oleh label sebagai komunitas adat terpencil (KAT). Textbook oriented di sekolah-sekolah melalui buku-buku terbitan penerbit pulau Jawa belum memberi kontribusi yang berarti dalam mempopulerkan Orang Laut sebagai bagian integral sejarah lokal Kepulauan Riau. Penguatan eksistensi Orang Laut sebagai sejarah lokal ini tentu saja semakin mengokohkan pilar kemaritiman Kepulauan Riau yang menjadi akar dari sejarah nasional Indonesia sebagai bangsa maritim terbesar di kawasan Asia Tenggara.

Abstract

The curriculum is not only concerning substance or learning instruction, but it also has a social relation with the external dimension. Curriculum change complies with the change in society. However, oftentimes in Indonesia, the development of curriculum does not take the presence of social and economic structure of society into consideration. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the curriculum 2006 and 2013 using a human development approach. This approach shapes students with three main competencies; thinking skills, technical creativity, and critical attitude toward socio-economic structure affecting their lives. A literature study is applied in this research. The result of this research suggests considering the socio-economic situation of society to develop the curriculum. The social economic gap among regions in Indonesia could be mitigated with the development of a particular service curriculum as a transition before applying the national curriculum.  Kurikulum bukan sekedar menyangkut substansi atau instruksional pembelajaran, tetapi juga memiliki relasi sosial dengan dimensi eksternal. Perubahan kurikulum mengikuti perubahan masyarakatnya. Namun demikian, pengembangan kurikulum yang selama ini berlangsung di Indonesia sering absen dalam mempertimbangkan struktur sosial ekonomi masyarakatnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan kajian atau evaluasi Kurikulum 2006 dan 2013 dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembangunan manusia. Pendekatan ini melihat peserta didik yang hendak dibentuk melalui pendidikan adalah manusia dengan tiga modalitas utama yakni, kecakapan berpikir, kreativitas teknis, dan sikap kritis terhadap struktur sosial-ekonomi yang mempengaruhi hidupnya. Metode dalam penelitian menggunakan studi pustaka. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian adalah mempertimbangkan kondisi struktur sosial ekonomi masyarakat dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Ketimpangan sosial ekonomi antar daerah diminimalisir dengan pengembangan kurikulum layanan khusus sebagai masa transisi sebelum menerapkan kurikulum nasional.

Abstract

This study tries to make a visualization of the three components of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) mastery in the form of a venn diagram. The research method used is descriptive with survey technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The location of the questionnaire study consisted of West Java Province, Bengkulu Province, and other provinces that were filled out online through Google forms. Subjects were geography teachers with 121 respondents. Data obtained through questionnaires were analyzed in a quantitative manner while interview data were carried out qualitatively. The results of the study can make a hypothetical form of TPACK venn diagrams to illustrate the TPACK mastery profile of geography teachers, namely the slices price of TPACK (25%), PCK (75%), TCK (35%), and TPK (15%). The implication of obtaining the data is that policy makers can improve the competence of geography teachers starting from training on TCK and TPK.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing frequency and variety of violence on television. The show was consumed by many people, including junior high school students. The problem that arises is that many junior high school students are watching. The purpose of this study is to describe the shows of violence on television and bullying behavior among students in schools, and analyze the relationship of television violence to students' bullying behavior in schools. The research subjects were students of Majalengka 6 Middle School. Based on the hypothesis and the type of data used, testing will use a nonparametric statistical test. The reason for using this statistical test is because the data taken is in the form of nominal and ordinal data. The analysis uses the Spearman rank correlation test. The results of the study show that the description of violent shows on television, bullying behavior is included in the low category. There is a significant relationship between the display of violence on television and the bullying behavior of students at school.

Abstract

This paper systematically addresses different concepts of anomy and norms among young men from selected groups in society. Government authorities in Madagascar who are responsible for public education are concerned about the social changes we are experiencing collectively. They have a more elaborate and better vision to guide young people in a professional and social world. In this perspective, they recognize that globalization, for example, is gradually creating a new phenomenon, in this case: technology. Many people believe that citizenship education enables adolescents to cope with these changes, since from this perspective, the child from birth is seen as part of a community, to whom he or she will eventually contribute.  Citizenship is a mechanism that consolidates and convinces the future citizen of the importance of his social and political involvement and the valorization of his identity roots.

Abstract

One goal of developing soft skills in the social studies class on higher education student is communication skill. This article explains how to effect peer assessment to developing communication skill, especially oral presentation in the small group discussion. The subject in this research is 51 students Faculty Education of Universitas Swadaya Gunung Djati Cirebon who contract social studies class. The research design is an experimental study. The design consisted of two groups an experimental and control. Instruments used to measure an oral presentation is a valid and reliable rubric, can be accessed online. Based on the result of research, there is a significant effect on online peer assessment to oral presentation skill in the small group discussion. Students have a role to be a respectable assessor. They assess the oral presentation colleagues objectively and authentic. Online peer assessment is useful for the assessment process. Besides that, students obtain feedback for improving oral presentation performance.
