Abstract

The matric flux potential and horizontal and vertical flux distributions are obtained usingintegral equation techniques for a single irrigation channel. The theory is based on the assumptionthat the hydraulic conductivity is an exponential function of the soil water potential. In therelevant special cases the results are compared with results obtained previously by Batu [4] andWarrick and Loman [20].

Abstract

Infant weight at Birth (BBBL) is one standard of The Healthy Program with expectation isthe Normal In-fant Weight at Birth (³ 2,5 kg). The factors which influence to BBBL are weight,height, parities, ages, hae-moglobin pencentage, blood pressure and education of mother’s.This study want to know which factors have major probability and how are the form of the factorsto the BBBL.Data used in this research are mother’s data whom give delivery in Govermant Hospital,delivery clinic or delivery nurse’s.Mother’s characteristic shown in data descriptive analysis. Single logistic regression detecteach potential variable to construct the multiple logistic regression model. The variables used forconstruct the multiple logis-tic regression model have significant contribution to the BBBL, thebest model is : P =+ + + + -Model above showed mother’s education and mother’s activities influences to the BBBL.Odds ratio values for every factors which influenced to the BBBL ³ 2,5 kg compared withBBBL < 2,5 kg find for mother’s education (junior high school, senior high school and the degreeof university) with proba-bility 2,6414, 22,2936 and 50,5504 times higher than mother’seducation for elementary school background.

Abstract

Information availability in exact time is one of keys for correct decision making. One of thesolutions is by developing a Data Warehouse for supporting decision making. In general DataWarehouse contains Dependent Data Mart (DDM), Integration Layer(IL), and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL). Integration Layer is a database that contains data that already integrated,stored in aid for one or more decision support system. For its data source, integration layerrequire Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) as supplier for clean and integrated data. IntegrationLayer volume would be much larger than any on dependent data mart that its support, so thefocus aspect in developing Integration Layer as core part of Data Warehouse is how to handle ahuge amount of data in considerable performance. Beside that, interfacing aspect is alsoimportant, e.g. how Integration Layer interact with ETL Process and supporting dependent data.

Abstract

An elementary approximate formula for the stress intensity factor for the pressurized starcrack is estab-lished. The formula is sufficiently accurate to be used in practical applications inplace of the more complex formulas derived by Westmann [1] and Williams [2]. © 2003 ElsevierScience Ltd. Abstract

A redundant manipulator has more degree of freedom than minimal needed to do its job. Inthis condition the manipulator can easily do the job, and can say become not optimal. To makethe manipulator more optimal, we try to add some obstacles that must be avoided by themanipulator. in calculation process we use inverse kinematics method in task priority scheme.From the simulation result, it is looked that by adding some jobs do not annoy the main job ofmanipulator, and those prove that the priority of the job can help manipulator do that job moreoptimal.

Abstract

The inspiration of the definition of “compactness” comes from the real number system.Closed and bounded sets in the real line were considered as an excellent model to show ageneralized version of the compactness in a topological space. Since boundedness is an elusiveconcept in general topo-logical space, then the compact properties are analysed to look at someproperties of sets that do not use boundedness. Some of the classical results of this nature areBolzano -Weierstrass theorem, whe-re every infinite subset of [a,b] has accumulation point andHeine-Borel theorem, where every closed and bounded interval [a,b] is compact. Each of theseproperties and some others are used to define a generalized version of compactness. Hausdorffspace has compact properties if every compact subset in Hausdorff space is closed and everyinfinite Hausdorff space has infinite sequence of non empty and disjoint open sets. Because thecompact properties in the Hausdorff space are satisfied many the-orems in real line could beexpanded. Therefore, these theorems ccould be used in Hausdorff space.

Abstract

The log-linear models are most used to catagorical data analysis. The catagorical scale is thefunction transformation value form forth scale measured of observation : nominal, ordinal, ratioand interval. For the data analysis to trivariates observation of categorical scale is focus to createthe models with proof for interaction the factor in the models to 2-factor or 3-factor withgoodness-of-fit-test by G2 models.
