Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the level of Student Self Concept that is completing the thesis; (2) the level of student self-efficacy that is completing the thesis; (3) to know the relation between academic self concept and self-efficacy in completing thesis. The approach used in this research is quantitative approach with correlational type. Technique of sampling with purposive sample technique. The sample in this study 50 percent of the population, as many as 46 students. Instrument of data collection in this research use self concept academic scale as much as 38 item and self efficacy scale 36 item. Researchers use questionnaires using the likers scale in the form of Check List (?). Level of validity (validity) on the scale of self-concept of academic and self efficacy are all valid (valid). Level of reliability on the scale of self-concept of academic value obtained coefficient alpha (?) of 0.922 and on the scale of self efficacy obtained coefficient value alpha (?) of 0.921.Data obtained then analyzed by using correlation analysis. The results showed that students have self-concept of academic and self efficacy in completing thesis that is high is 95.5%. That is, the higher the academic self-concept owned by students will be higher also self efficacy in completing the thesis on the students. It is based on the result of calculation of correlation with obtained p (sig) = 0.77, price p shows value greater than 0.05. So the hypothesis stating that there is a positive and significant relationship between the concept of self-academic and self-efficacy in completing the thesis on students Bimbingand Konseling Ahmad Dahlan University of Yogyakarta, accepted. Keywords: academic self concept, self efficacy, completion of student essay.

Abstract

Basic competencies that teachers of Guidance and Counseling should have is the ability to use and to operationalize the Guidance and Counseling media. This capability is required because in her/his activities, a teachers of Guidance and Counseling should be able to design, to use, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of media in counseling and guidance services. Therefore it is required for the training of making Guidance and Counseling media to help teachers Guidance and Counseling in providing services to learners. Based on the results of the training of Guidance and Counseling media using Microsoft Power Point, 80% of teachers of Guidance and Counseling has been able to make a power point slide about preventing drug abuse through task independent. Through this training, teachers of Guidance and Counseling are expected to be more aware and understand that the needs of the times are getting changing and evolving, so that competence of technology and information should be improved also.Keywords: Media, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Bung Karno sebagai Presiden pertama RI, bapak pendiri bangsa menegaskan bahwa: Bangsa ini harus dibangun dengan mendahulukan pembangunan karakter (character building), karena karakter  inilah yang akan membuat Indonesia menjadi  bangsa yang besar, maju dan bermartabat. Kalau character building ini tidak dilakukan, maka bangsa Indonesia akan menjadi bangsa kuli.  Karakter dapat dimaknai sebagai nilai dasar yang membangun pribadi seseorang, terbentuk karena pengaruh hereditas maupun pengaruh lingkungan, yang membedakannya dengan orang lain, serta diwujudkan dalam sikap dan perilakunya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: Pendidkan Karakter, Lingkungan

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to find out the students self confidence of XI class who faced academic procrastination in SMA Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. This was survey study and subjects were 32 students who faced academic procrastination. The students self confidence data used psycology likert model scale. The result showed that XI class students who faced/ did the academic procrastination in SMA Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau were in moderate category. It can be stated that the students who had firm belief of ability and positive thinking foward him/ her self well, although not yet fully able to act independently.Keywords : Self Confidence, Academic Procrastination.

Abstract

This research aims to determined the level of emotional quotient of  eleventh grade students in SMA Negeri 15 Palembang. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with survey method. Data collection technique used is a questionnaire consisting of five aspects, namely: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and fostering relationships. The population in this research were eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 15 Palembang which amounted to 244 people. The sample in this research amounted to 56 people selected by using a purposive sampling technique. The results of data analysis shows that 32 percent  students in eleventh grade had emotional quotient with a high category that was 65% while the category and 3% low category.

Abstract

This type of research is development research by using the ADDIE model. This research aimed to produce products of audio visual media which were valid, practical and effective. The research was conducted at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This research consisted of 5 stages, namely 1) analysis (pre-test and interview with BK teacher), 2) design (making RPL and media manuscript), 3) development (making media, after the media was finished, the researcher conducted validation with three experts: material expert, media expert, language expert and small group test), 4) implementation (field test and post-test), 5) evaluation (strengths and limitations of the media). The results obtained at pretest with materials that can be updated in the future are 47.9% in the "moderate" category, which means that students still need improvement. From the comments and suggestions given by the three experts, the results of the media were valid and appropriate to be tested in a small group trial. The students gave comments and suggestions to improve the video, after which the researcher conducted a field test, the results obtained were 87% "very practical" and in the post-test 88.9% of the" high "category was obtained. The effectiveness of audio visual media obtained by N-Gain was 0.71 which "high" category. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the classical audio visual service media developed has been valid, practical and effective used in classical service delivery on the career field of future orientation materials.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of academic procrastination based on the intensity of the use of social media in Palembang State Middle School 18. The population consisted of 120 students from class VIII with sample selection using a purposive sampling technique so that getting samples for each category in the form of: Light Users (numbered users) totaling 41 students, Medium Users (medium users) totaling 37 students, and Heavy Users 42 students. Research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire to measure the intensity of social media use as well as sample determination and the Likert scale to measure the tendency of academic procrastination. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the majority of subjects in the Light Users category were low on academic procrastination with a percentage of 53.7%, the Medium Users category including being on academic procrastination with a percentage of 43.2% and the Heavy Users category including academic procrastination with 45.3% . The results showed that the more often students used social media, the higher the tendency to do academic procrastination.

Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim to determine the level of learning anxiety of students who have low academic ability in class X Palembang N 4 SMK. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students who had low academic ability with a number of 85 and a sample or respondent of this study that was 85 students using purposive sampling. Date collection techniques use a percentage count. Aspects measured by learning anxiety in students who have low academic ability in class X of SMK N 4 Palembang, namely, physical, emotional, and mental or cognitive. The results of date analysis showed that the level of learning anxiety in students who had low academic ability in class X junior high school 4 Palembang, 35% in the very low category (SR), 49% in the low category (R), 16% in the high category (T), and 0% in the very high category (ST).

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the effect of group guidance with sosiodrama techniques in reducing anxiety speaking in front of the class in class VIIth grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. This study was experimental that used Pre-experimental design One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study was 8 students of VII th grade at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang who were selected based on purposive sampling technique with the sample criteria was students who had speaking anxiety in front of the class. The data collection used was speaking anxiety questionnaire. Based on the result of the data analysis, the significant level was 0,05, where  = 13.45 higher than  = 2.365 which means   was rejected and was accepted. The result of this study indicated that sociodrama techniques in group guidance services helped VII th grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang to overcome their speaking anxiety in front of the class.

Abstract

Bystander is a person who does not like Bullying, but the psychological one-sided which is hampered during the Bullying incident can not do anything, until finally choosing silence, according to some research this is due to the low prosocial behavior in bystander. The research objective is to determine the empirical condition of the implementation of group counseling services in schools in improving Bystander's prosocial behavior. To find out how the development of a group counseling service model with a behavioral approach through the formation of audio visual assisted model behavioral techniques to improve Bystander's prosocial behavior, and how effective the results of the development of the group counseling model is. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D), based on the provisions and main objectives of the initial R&D research method to conduct an initial research or survey, then carry out the development stage of the initial research results, then the results phase namely to arrive at the effectiveness test of products or procedures resulting from development. Based on the results of product trials in the experimental group research, it was proven that peosocial behavior in bystander increased after being provided with group counseling services with a behavioral approach through modeling behavior formation techniques. This can be seen from the exact Sig (2-tailed) of 0.005, which means <2,364, thus the group counseling model with a behavioral approach through effective model behavior formation techniques to improve prosocial behavior bystander.
