Abstract

This article intends to examine differences in learning outcomes of IPS history subject using a concept map of learning models compared with varied lectures penbelajaran models. Concept maps are applied in the experimental classes and lectures varied learning model is applied in the control class. The population in this study were all students in grade IX Kandeman SMP Negeri 1 year 2011/2012 which amounted to 240 students. Sampling was conducted using random cluster sampling and obtained class A as class IX experiments (learning model concept map) and the class of class IX B as a control (lecture learning models vary). Learning outcomes by using a learning model maps better than the concept of learning outcomes IPS History lecture on learning models vary. Advice and researchers hope that History Teachers can use the IPS model of learning a concept map as an alternative in the teaching of history to improve student learning outcomes and make learning history and social studies fun and interesting.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of classroom learning using the method of learning models PAIKEM Sucker ball game compared to the class using lecture methods vary. The study design used in this study is the type of experimental research. Based on research results, obtained an average post test experimental class is 75.47 and the average grade control was 67.97. For results of test calculations with an average difference of post-test scores obtained thitung = 1.403 while the ttabel = 1.35 for ? = 5% and dk = (32 +32-2) = 62 is obtained t (0.95) (62) = 1.35. Because thitung t (0.95) (74) so H0 is rejected, this means that there are significant differences in the quality of learning between the experimental and the control groups. Based on the research results can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes between the classes that use PAIKEM with learning outcomes using the lecture method

Abstract

This is a comparative study of two methods of learning the experimental method and the method of assignment preparation seminar. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes of students who were taught by both methods, as well as knowing the difference between the methods of implementation of tasks and methods of preparation seminar. The approach of this research is to experimentally study the entire population of students class XI IPS 3 Demak SMA, while the sample taken is class 1 and class XI IPS XI IPS 3. Study results indicate that a class of students who were taught using seminars obtained better results than the class taught by the method of preparation tasks, although both performed equally well. Suggestions presented in this study is that Learners need to be encouraged to be active participants in learning; and seminar methods and preparation task method can be applied in teaching history to make students active in learning.
