Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menambah keterampilan para guru terkait penguasaan Technological, Pedagogical, dan Content Knowledge (TPACK) melalui pembuatan video pembelajaran. Mitra yang terlibat pada pelatihan ini adalah Guru SD, SMP, dan SMA di Kota dan Kabupaten Jayapura Provinsi Papua. Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan pelatihan yaitu kombinasi antara metode penyuluhan, diskusi, dan workshop yang dilakukan secara daring. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah para guru mampu menghasilkan video pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan Technological, Pedagogical, dan Content Knowledge (TPACK). Persentase peningkatan penguasaan TPACK para guru yang mengikuti pelatihan sebesar 84%. Abstract:  This training aims to increase the skills of teachers related to mastery of Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) through the production of instructional videos. Partners involved in this training are elementary, junior high and high school teachers in Jayapura City and Regency, Papua Province. The method used in conducting the training is a combination of extension methods, discussions, and workshops which are conducted online. The result of this training is that teachers are able to produce instructional videos that integrate Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK). The percentage of improvement in TPACK skills of teachers who attended the training was 84%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan para guru matematika tentang media pembelajaran matematika di Era Pembelajaran 4.0, dan untuk memotivasi para guru dalam membelajarakan matematika dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi. Mitra yang terlibat pada pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru matematika pada sekolah menengah di Kota Jayapura. Metode pelaksanan pelatihan yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan, diskusi, dan workshop yang dilakukan secara daring. Hasil pelaksanakan pelatihan adalah teratasinya masalah mitra yaitu para guru terlatih mengintegrasikan Aplikasi GeoGebra sebagai media dalam pembelajaran matematika.Abstract: This training aims to increase the knowledge of mathematics teachers about mathematics learning media in the Learning Era 4.0, and to motivate teachers to teach mathematics by utilizing technological developments. The partners involved in this training are mathematics teachers at high schools in Jayapura City. The training implementation method used is counseling, discussions, and workshops which are conducted online. The result of the training is the solution to partner problems, namely trained teachers to integrate the GeoGebra application as a medium in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan perbandingan keefektifan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah ditinjau dari sikap percaya diri, pencapaian belajar matematika, dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain kelompok pretes-postes beracak. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. Sampel penelitian sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Data hasi penelitian dianalisis dengan MANOVA, dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan uji one sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif ditinjau dari sikap percaya diri dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah namun tidak efektif ditinjau dari pencapaian belajar matematika; model pembelajaran berbasis masalah efektif ditinjau dari sikap percaya diri, pencapaian belajar matematika, dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah; dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih efektif dari pembelajaran berbasis proyek ditinjau dari pencapaian belajar matematika. The comparison of effectiveness of project-based learning and problem-based learning in terms of achievement of student’s learning objectives AbstractThis study aims to describe: the effectiveness of teaching mathematics using project-based learning and problem-based learning; and the comparison in the effectiveness between project-based learning and problem-based learning in terms of the attitude of confidence, achievement of learning mathematics, and problem solving skills. This study is a quasi-experimental study employing the pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. The research population comprised all year VIII students of SMPN 9 Yogyakarta. The sample consisted of two classes that were randomly established. The data were analysed by means of MANOVA, and to test the effectiveness of project-based learning and problem-based learning using one sample t-test. The result of this study shows that: project-based learning is effective in terms of the attitude of confidence and problem solving skills but not effective in learning based on achievement of learning mathematics; problem-based learning is effective in terms of the attitude of confidence, achievement of learning mathematics, and problem solving skills; and problem-based learning more effective than project-based learning based on achievement of learning mathematics.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kompetensi calon guru matematika di Papua dalam mengintegrasikan konsep matematika ke dalam video pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik di Papua sebagai media pembelajaran dalam jaringan maupun luar jaringan di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru yang berada di semester tujuh pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Cenderawasih.  Metode yang digunakan adalah Project-based Learning, yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu (1) merumuskan pertanyaan penting; (2) mendesain rencana proyek; (3) membuat jadwal; (4) memantau kemajuan proyek; (5) menilai produk; dan (6) mengevaluasi pengalaman. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah 89% calon guru matematika lebih percaya diri akan kompetensi yang harus mereka miliki sebagai calon guru. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kompetensi calon guru matematika di Papua semakin optimal dengan menghasilkan video pembelajaran matematika. Video Pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran oleh peserta didik yang berada di Kota maupun Kabupaten Jayapura di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Abstract:  This activity aims to optimize the competence of prospective mathematics teachers in Papua in integrating mathematical concepts into instructional videos that can be used by students in Papua as learning media both online and outside the network during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The partners involved in this activity are student teacher candidates who are in the seventh semester of the Cenderawasih University Mathematics Education Study Program. The method used is project-based learning, which consists of several stages, namely (1) formulating important questions; (2) designing the project plan; (3) create a schedule; (4) monitoring project progress; (5) assessing products; and (6) evaluating experience. The result of this activity is that 89% of prospective mathematics teachers are more confident in the competencies they must have as prospective teachers. This indicates that the competence of prospective mathematics teachers in Papua is getting more optimal by producing mathematics learning videos. This Learning Video can be used as a learning medium by students in the City and Regency of Jayapura during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pada dasarnya mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang menyusun tugas akhir sering mengalami kesulitan pada saat interpretasi data hasil penelitian. Sebagian besar mahasiswa belum mempunyai pengalaman dalam melakukan penelitian dan belum mengetahui program yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu dalam mengolah data, walaupan sudah mengetahui program yang dapat membantu mengolah data namun belum dapat mengoperasikan program tersebut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan bagi mahasiswa yang bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk mengolah data dengan menggunakan aplikasi program pengolah data Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). Kegiatan pelatihan menggunakan metode penyuluhan, diskusi, dan workshop. Mitra kegiatan pada pelatihan ini adalah Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Cenderawasih. Pelatihan yang dilakukan telah berhasil meningkatkan 70% kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami dan menguasai SPSS.Abstract:  Basically, the final year students who make up the final project often experience confusion when processing research data. Most students do not have experience in conducting research and do not know a program that can be used to assist in processing data, even though they already know a program that can help process data but cannot use the program yet. Therefore, training is needed for students who aim to provide data processing skills by utilizing the application of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) data processing programs. Training activities use counseling methods, discussions, and workshops. The activity partners in this training are the Teaching and Education Faculty of Cenderawasih University. The training carried out has succeeded in increasing 70% of students' abilities in understanding and mastering SPSS.

Abstract

This study aims to classify high schools in Papua Province, Indonesia, based on the 2019 National Examination scores so they can be considered in maintaining the sustainability of school quality in Papua. In this study, all senior high schools in Papua Province were grouped into three clusters: Cluster 1 (high), Cluster 2 (medium), and Cluster 3 (low clusters) using the K-Means Algorithm on the 2019 National Examination data. The data were obtained through the website official Center of Educational Assessment of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Clarification was done by grouping data on national examination scores from each school based on the similarity of the data with data from other schools. The results of the high school clustering using the K-Means Algorithm show that 18 schools are in Cluster 1, 58 schools in Cluster 2, and 68 schools in Cluster 3. The results of the analysis of the K-Means Algorithm show an R2 value of 0.723 and a Silhouette score of 0.42.

Abstract

This study is an experimental study that aims to determine the significant difference between the cooperative learning model of the NHT type and the Jigsaw type in terms of student learning outcomes on the surface area and volume of cubes and blocks. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Jayapura, totaling 184 people and divided into 6 classes. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, with a sample of 60 people consisting of two classes, namely class VIII C with 30 students and VIII F with 30 students. The design used in the study was a non-equivalent group pretest-posttest design. The analysis used to calculate the hypothesis is the Mann-Whitney test using the SPSS application. The results of the pretest analysis with the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value of 0.224. Because the significance value is greater than the 0.05 significance level, it is concluded that the hypothesis H0 is accepted. The results of the posttest analysis with the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value of 0.242. Because the significance value is greater than the 0.05 significance level, it is concluded that the hypothesis H0 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the NHT and Jigsaw cooperative learning models on the surface area and volume of cubes and blocks in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Jayapura

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP YPPK Teruna Mulia Kota Jayapura. Model langkah pemecahan masalah yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah langkah pemecahan masalah menurut Polya yang terdiri dari memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, menyelesaikan rencana penyelesaian, dan memeriksa kembali. Oleh karenanya, jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Langkah awal penelitian ini adalah dengan memberikan tes pemecahan masalah kepada siswa, selanjutnya dianalisis data tes tertulis tersebut kemudian melakukan wawancara kepada  subjek penelitian untuk melihat kemampuan pemecahan masalah setiap subjek. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dengan kemampuan tingkat tiga (3): (1) mampu memahami kalimat dengan dapat menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan dari soal dengan lengkap sehingga dapat memahami masalah (2) mampu merencanakan penyelesaian dengan cara menemukan hubungan dari soal sehingga dapat merencanakan metode penyelesaian, (3) dapat melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian dengan menggunakan langkah kerja yang tepat, dan (4) melakukan pemeriksaan kembali terhadap hasil kerja yang diperoleh  dengan cara melakukan perhitungan ulang, kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dengan kemampuan tingkat dua (2): (1) mampu memahami kalimat dan dapat menuliskan semua informasi dari soal dengan lengkap dengan menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan, (2) mampu merencanakan penyelesaian dengan menemukan hubungan dari soal tetapi kurang teliti dalam merencanakan strategi yang digunakan dalam merencanakan penyelesaian, (3) kurang teliti dalam menuliskan langkah-langkah penyelesaian dalam melaksanakan rencana, dan (4) dan belum sepenuhnya memenuhi indikator memeriksa kembali terhadap jawaban yang diperoleh, kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dengan kemampuan tingkat satu (1): belum sepenuhnya memenuhi indikator yang diperlukan dalam memahami masalah, (2) kurang mampu dalam merencanakan metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan soal sehingga tidak memenuhi indikator merencanakan penyelesaian, (3) belum dapat menuliskan langkah-langkah penyelesaian dengan tepat sehingga tidak mampu merencanakan penyelesaian, dan (4) dan belum dapat memeriksa kemabali terhadap hasil kerja yang diperoleh.

Abstract

Character education aims to prepare good character in welcoming better generations in the future. In Indonesia, there are five core values that form the core of the overall grades for secondary school education. This study aims to describe the five main values or characters in the teacher's manual, the five main character values in the student manual, and the suitability of the five main character values in the Independent Curriculum textbooks for teacher manuals and student manuals. This research is content analysis research with a qualitative approach through four stages, namely data acquisition, data reduction, inference, and data analysis. The source of the research data was a teacher's guide Mathematics textbook and a student guide on the Independent Curriculum in junior high schools. The unit of analysis is the five main values or characters contained in the textbook. The results of the study show that: (1) the teacher's manual develops all the character values analyzed, but has not developed religious values to the fullest; (2) the student manual develops all character values analyzed, but has not developed religious values to the fullest; and (3) the character values in the teacher's guide and student guide math textbooks are appropriate, although some characters appear in small percentage

Abstract

An elementary school teacher should have good character first to be able to educate the character of his students. The education curriculum for prospective Indonesian elementary school teachers in Indonesia should include character education in order to produce character-educated graduates. The Association of Lecturers of Education for prospective Indonesian Elementary School Teachers has formulated learning outcomes according to the current curriculum. It is necessary to evaluate the formulation of Learning Outcomes adopted by all prospective Indonesian Elementary School Teacher Education study programs. The purpose of this study is to reveal the content of character values ​​in the formulation of learning outcomes for Indonesian elementary school teacher candidates in Indonesia, their suitability with the cognitive approach in character education, and suitability with the socio-cognitive approach in character education. This research is a content analysis research with a qualitative approach through four stages, namely data acquisition, data reduction, inference, and data analysis. The object of this research is the educational learning achievement formula book for prospective Indonesian elementary school teachers published in 2015. The unit of analysis is the character values contained in the educational learning achievement formula book for prospective Indonesian elementary school teachers. The results showed that there were 11 values ​​out of a total of 16 target values ​​in character building at the tertiary level, namely obedience to worship, responsibility, discipline, work ethic, independence, synergy, justice, critical, creative and innovative, compassion and concern, and nationalism, apart from that the formulation of learning outcomes is also in accordance with the cognitive approach in character education which has been listed on the general skills aspect which corresponds to Level 6 of moral development (Kohlberg's cognitive approach), besides that the formulation of learning achievements is in accordance with the approach socio-cognitive in character education has been listed on the affective aspect.
