Abstract

Abstract: Pollution levels over time has been increased. One of the causes of the pollution are Internal combustion engine vehicle. In Indonesia, the air pollution produced by motor vehicles approximately 55 micrograms per cubic meter CO2. One of the solution to overcome the pollution problem is to create environmentally friendly vehicles using electric motor. In this paper will discuss about the design of a concept of environmentally friendly personal vehicle, which is used 3 wheel and can carry a single passenger. The process is design using the CAD software in three dimensional design, then static analysis was conducted using FEA to produce the maximum stress and the critical location due to the load from the design of the vehicle.

Abstract

This paper describes a technological business incubation model, developing integrated curriculum with technopreneurship education, as well as the involvement of Industrial Engineering of Tarumanagara University to create technology startup ecosystem. University holds the important role for enhancing technopreneurs in Indonesia. Academics or researchers as technology transfer agents, are responsible to disseminate technology entrepreneurship education broadly. Eventually, technological business incubator will able to accelerate commercialization of innovations or inventions from university researchs.

Abstract

Aplikasi mesin rapid prototipe dengan metode manufaktur aditif dewasa ini berkembang secara pesat, teknologi metode manufaktur aditif salah satunya adalah Fused Deposition Modeling dimana sebuah nosel yang melelehkan filamen bergerak pada sebuah bidang XY sesuai pola yang diprogram dan terus berlanjut selapis demi selapis dan ahirnya membentuk bentuk benda 3 dimensi sesuai yang dikehendaki. Salah satu faktor keberhasilan dalam mesin ini terletak pada sistem gerak sumbunya terutama gerakan sumbu arah X dan arah Y. Paralel XY adalah salah satu sistem gerak pada 3D printer yang merupakan sebuah mekanisme penggerak dengan sistem sabuk bergerigi yang disusun dengan konfigurasi H dan sistem gerak ini menentukan tingkat, akurasi dari hasil cetak yang biasanya disebut resolusi. Resolusi maksimum yang sistem gerak XY yang dikehendaki adalah empat puluh mikrometer. Untuk mencapai resolusi tersebut pada prancangan ini, dilakukan pemodelan dan simulasi pembebanan menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor Professional 2017 untuk menghindari terjadinya defleksi atau deformasi. Dari hasil simulasi pembebanan, konstruksi menunjukan komponen tidak mengalami defleksi atau deformasi dengan nilai lebih dari empat puluh mikrometer dan penggabungan konstruksi ini dengan sistem gerak XY ini dapat menghasilkan hasil cetak yang memiliki resolusi maksimum hingga empat puluh mikrometer. Abstract

Abstract: This hybrid motorcycle design is to combine 5.65kW gasoline engine and 48V DC 0.5kW electrical brushless motor in serial-parallel type. Master control unit use a microcontroller ATMega16 to control gasoline engine and electrical motor alternately. Speed sensor is placed on the rear wheel to detect the motorcycle’s speed. When the motorcycle’s speed reaches the top threshold at 30km/h, it driven with gasoline engine and when the motorcycle’s speed getting lower to the bottom threshold at 5km/h, it changes with electrical motor. Battery charged with plug-in system to power supply.

Abstract

Abstract: Fused deposition modeling is a rapid prototyping process that is very popular. Fused deposition modeling is actually one method of Three -dimensional printing. Fused deposition modeling process , namely by heating the thermoplastic material and then do the printing . Our focus is to learn, the engine control system fused deposition modeling with software arduino 1.6.8 with firmware marlin and other software 3d printer. experimental control system is done by testing the direction of motion and measuring the distance and then test the form . Making fused deposition modeling is intended as a prototype in order to understand the control system and how to innovate in the development of fused deposition modeling. The results of the control system in the form of a fused depositon modeling engine capable of running as expected and can create a physical model.

Abstract

Abstract: Residential waste contributes up to 55% of the total volume of urban waste such as in Jakarta. It makes the transport process of residential waste to temprorary landfill site (TPS) that has been existed, less efficient. Transporting waste process with garbage cart is depended on the manpower, while with the garbage truck, the vehicle’s width and the use of fossil fuels are the weaknesses. Thus, the design concept of a waste transport vehicle using electric motor as driving source is made which has the same payload capacity as a garbage cart in general. Garbage payload along with the main components must be strongly supported by the vehicle frame, which incidentally serves as the support vehicle. In this study, discussed the optimization of electric waste transport vehicle with the help of 3-dimensional CAD modelling, then simulated with static loading to obtain the results of the stress, displacement with the maximum value and location, and can assign the payload distribution position. With variable of the beam profile shape and its thickness, then obtained the optimal order forms, which frame weighs as light as possible but still robust in supporting given loads, which is frame with a cylindrical hollow profile with diameter of 60.3 mm and thickness of 4 mm .

Abstract

The need of machine tools is growing in Indonesia every years, this because of the increasing need of high quality product and short product manufacturing time are the answer for the market needed. CNC machine is a numerical method which the computer is used to control the machine tools, in Indonesia itself are increasing its usage from large scale industry to home industry and as well as in education sector. Education sector need to be up to date to the technology to empowering their students in order to catch up in the technology growth. Investment in CNC machine tools is consider as a high investment for education institution, and industrial CNC machine tools also bulky so it difficult to move around which are difficult to bring it in classroom. To overcome the problem in this paper will discuss about design and analysis of prototype CNC milling machine tool which has working area of 328 mm × 245mm × 100mm and can withstand the force of cutting of 0.044Nm. In this paper also discuss about design and analysis of the machine tools frame using finite element method. Result from the frame analysis with the load from Z direction of 10 kg of load shows the maximum displacement is 0.07558mm and maximum stress is 0.09178 Mpa.

Abstract

Abstrak: Otomasi industri merupakan hal yang tidak bisa dihindari untuk meningkatkan produktifitas, kualitas dan keselamatan. Oleh karena itu, simulasi mesin otomasi sangatlah penting untuk dibuat agar sistem kerjanya dapat diketahui secara pasti dan dapat dipastikan aman bagi operator. Proses yang biasa digantikan dengan otomasi adalah proses pemindahan barang dan proses pengecekan, sehingga sudah tidak membutuhkan tenaga manual lagi. Modul Storage Station adalah bagian dari mesin simulasi untuk pengecekan. Dibutuhkan PLC untuk mengontrol kedua modul tersebut sehingga dapat berjalan sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Salah satu bahasa pemrograman yang mudah dimengerti adalah Functional Block Diagram (FBD). Pada FBD, terdapat sebuah metode yaitu metode Sequential Function Chart (SFC) untuk mengatur urutan kerja dari program. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengendalian modul Storage Station yang menggunakan bahasa pemrograman FBD dengan menggunakan metode SFC. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah mesin simulasi untuk modul Storage Station dalam skala laboratorium yang mampu mendeteksi material, warna, dan lubang dari benda kerja beserta diagram gerakan dari masing-masing modul.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to examine the evidence of entrepreneurial characteristics amongst different professional backgrounds, both entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs, especially private employees, government employees, police officers, and entrepreneurs. We examined entrepreneurial characteristics in terms of innovativeness, need for achievement, the locus of control, risk-taking propensity, tolerance for ambiguity, and self-confidence. The sample in this study is 269 individuals who work as entrepreneurs, police officers, government employees and private employees in major cities in Indonesia areas. Research hypothesis testing was performed using ANOVA statistical tests and was proceeded using IBM SPSS Statistics software version 21. There are six hypotheses proposed in this study and all proposed hypothesis were statistically supported. In other words, there are significant differences in the average value of entrepreneurial characteristics being assessed, among police officers, government employees, private employees, and entrepreneurs. Theoretically, this study will hopefully contribute to invigorating previous studies which provide the evidence of different entrepreneurial characteristics between entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs. Practically, the implications of this study can provide suggestions for the personal development in a variety of jobs, especially in terms of entrepreneurial characteristics development. Entrepreneurial characteristics amongst active employees can generate organizational performance improvement. As for the retired employees, entrepreneurial characteristics will be a valuable source in starting a business activity.
