Abstract

Conflicts of human rights violations have taken place between GAM and the Indonesian government in Aceh which have created feelings of heartache, trauma, fear and pressure, resulting in negative emotions that tend to stick to conflict survivors. To overcome the negative emotions and pressures, it is necessary to have forgiveness capabilities that can bring positive emotions as one of the submber resilience. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between forgiveness and resilience of post-conflict survivor in Aceh. The research design used quantitative non-experimental study correlational with 2 variables. Cluster random sampling is used in term to determine the sampling method in Aceh Besar, Bireuen and Banda Aceh with participants is (N=427). Nashori (2012) and Septia (2018) with CVR scale from Reivich and Shatte (2000) are used as instrument to determine the reseratch. The data is analysed by using Pearson product moment. And the result research is there is a significant correlation between forgiveness and resilience in post-conflict survivor in Aceh.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people’s mental health, especially in the education sector. One of the mental health problems that often occur in students who are completing their final assignments are symptoms of depression. Cognitive emotion regulation is one capacity to overcome depression with the use of adaptive approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cognitive emotion regulation on depression in final year students in Indonesia during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 349 final year students and their data were taken using an accidental sampling technique. Analysis of research data used the simple linear regression test. The results showed that there was a significant influence between cognitive emotion regulation and depression (p = 0.00). The effect of cognitive emotion regulation shown is 4.2% of the variance of depression.   Keywords: Cognitive emotion regulation, college students, covid-19, depression, final assignment

Abstract

The phenomenon of marriage at a young age is increasing in Tulungagung. Teenagers who decide to marry young will experience some negative impacts, especially if they are not accompanied with a mature emotional state. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and marital adjustment in young marriages. This study uses quantitative methods. Subjects are selected using purposive sampling technique with the criteria of couples who married when their age is less than 21 years old, with a marriage age of 1-5 years in Tulungagung Regency. This study obtained as many as 83 respondents. This study collected data using a scale of emotional maturity and marriage adjustment through google form and then analyzed using the correlation product moment formula. The results showed the value of r = 0.534 (p <0.05) which means that there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and marital adjustment. The higher the emotional maturity, the higher the marital adjustment. Vice versa, if emotional maturity is low, marital adjustment will also be low.   Keywords: Early age marriages, emotional maturity, marital adjustment

Abstract

Korean Pop (K-Pop) popularity and huge number of fans have spread globally, including Indonesia. Being a loyal fan providing support for idols is one of the mandatory things for K-Pop fans. Any form of fan activity to support idols excessively can lead to fanaticism. This study aims to examine the correlation between wisdom and fanaticism in K-Pop fans. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were a total of 389 subjects, with at least 1 year of experience as fans and were in the range of age 18 - 21 years old. Data collection was delivered out online with google form using the fanaticism scale of K-Pop fans and the adaptation of the 3D-WS wisdom scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson product moment Correlation method which showed there was no correlation between wisdom and fanaticism in K-Pop fans (r= -0.080; p > 0.05).   Keywords: Fanaticism, K-Pop fans, wisdom
