Abstract

DKI Jakarta experienced the rice production deficit of 99.61% in 2020. The problem arised because DKI Jakarta could fulfill its rice necessity from other cities and the poor management of the warehouse and distribution system. The aim of the study is to propose a warehouse management to improve the effective distribution system. The study used qualitative descriptive research method. There were 16 officials of the warehouse management and distribution system in PT. Tjipinang Jaya Food Station as the participants. The data was processed using the credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests approaches. The results of the study indicate that the warehouse management and distribution system in PT. Tjipinang Jaya Food Station is considered ineffective and inefficient in improving food security operation in DKI Jakarta. The evidence found is the absorption or the less than demand purchase of the product, which is 2,665 tons with a total demand of 688,226 tons. The problem with inequality distribution, decreased quantity in the distribution process, raw materials received delay, unfulfilled delivery of finished material to consumers and uncertainty of the warehouse utilization planning are factors needed to be restored continuously in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out the direct and indirect contribution of human resources quality to the achievement of revenue target mediated by business strategy of the national logistics company. This research used SmartPLS 3.0-SEM and the sample was 53 employees of the Angkasa Pura Logistik head office. The result of the research indicates that the corporate business strategy is able to mediate human resources quality to the revenue target achievement in Angkasa Pura Logistik. The company provides its employees with education and trainings to improve their quality. During the pandemic, the company had implemented the newest business strategy by opening new branches with better operation. The company should also choose the employees selectively with competences needed in the respective fields. Angkasa Pura Logistik sustainably has improved and enhanced its service and product in line with the increasing demand. For further research, it can be proposed to study the contribution of these variables on similar companies in other countries.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the development of the manufacturing industry is considered rapid due to the swift logistics process from producers to consumers. This is related to how and when a product is delivered, making it equally important as the product itself. The progress of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia is also influenced by the advancement of technology, which continuously improves and evolves the Supply Chain process. This research is conducted with the aim of analyzing Supply Chain strategies and human resource competencies as antecedents to the competitive advantage of manufacturing companies. The research was conducted using a quantitative method approach and involved 4 variable constructs consisting of Supply Chain Strategy, Human Resource Competencies, Competitive Advantage, and Company Performance. These five variable constructs are measured with 42 valid and reliable measurable indicators using a questionnaire and a Likert scale of 1-5. The questionnaire was distributed to manufacturing company managers in the DKI Jakarta Province from November to December 2023, using stratified sampling techniques with a total sample of 323 respondents. The data was processed using SEMPLS software. The results of 7 hypothesis tests depict that there is a positive and significant influence of Supply Chain Strategy on company performance; Supply Chain Strategy, Human Resource Competencies, and Competitive Advantage, as well as Human Resource Competencies on Competitive Advantage; Supply Chain Strategy, Supply Chain Strategy, and Human Resource Competencies significantly influence company performance through Competitive Advantage. It is concluded that both directly and indirectly there is a significant influence of Supply Chain strategy and human resource competencies as antecedents to the competitive advantage of manufacturing companies.

Abstract

Qualitative research relies on both primary and secondary data. This research aims to elucidate the implementation of green supply chain management in the tempeh industry, as well as to illustrate how green supply chain management can be applied to effectively manage waste generated by the tempeh industry. The ultimate goal is to promote environmental sustainability and mitigate the issue of industrial waste, thereby ensuring a clean and healthy environment. The findings of this study indicate that the integration of green supply chain management in the tempeh industry has been effectively executed. The utilization of raw resources also aligns with the concepts of green supply chain. In addition to that, there is excellent cooperation within the supply chain. Nevertheless, there are still areas for improvement in the supply chain flow of the green supply chain implementation in the tempe business in North Jakarta. Additional empirical study is required to examine the aspects that contribute to the performance of green supply chains.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of reverse logistics management in terms of after sales service repair return activities such as the activity of managing the broken item, export and import, and broken item handling activities at the warehouse etc. using the purposive sampling, the respondents selected consists of 5 person whose active engage in the activity. This research is conducted through descriptive qualitative data analysis with interviews, observations, and internal documentation. According to the research results of reverse logistics management on repair returns, there are still a lot of rooms needed to improve the performance, and speed up the lead time. There is still a room for improvement needed such as SOP standardization of each reverse logistics activities involved itself, should have need some of goods movement configuration and management such as, flow of communication, flow of goods, flow of documents and the administrative work improvement on creating the export import license permit document to avoid the error which can lead to a longer lead time.
