Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between nutrient intakes, physical activity and percentage of body fat in a group of adolescents. This cross-sectional study was carried out with 62 adolescents aged 13 to 14 years old; 34 girls (54,8%) and 28 boys (45,2%). Energy, macronutrients and vitamin D intake were assessed by two non-consecutive-24 hour food recalls. Calcium intake was assessed by a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), physical activity was assessed by Physical Activity Level (PAL) 2 x 24 hours and percentage of body fat was measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). BIA measurements were taken at least 2 hours after meals. The mean age was 13,2 ± 0,4 years. Mean percentage body fat was 22,2 + 5,9 %. In bivariate analysis, negative correlations were found between calcium intake (p= 0,002), fiber intake (p=0,009), physical activity (p= 0,016) and body fat. In multivariate analysis, fiber intake showed a negative correlation (β = -8,397, p = 0,001) and carbohydrate intake (β = 13,053, p = 0,003) showed a positive correlation with body fat, adjusted by age and sex. In conclusion, carbohydrate intake has a positive relationship with body fat and fiber intake has a negative relationship with body fat in adolescents.Keywords : body fat, adolescents, carbohydrate intake

Abstract

In this research, undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) phase compounds have been synthesized with mole variations of Sr:Ti and dopants. Double substitution with Sm3+ for Sr2+ sites and Nb5+ for Ti4+ sites forming Sr2-xSmxTi1-yNbyO4 (x = 0.0125; 0.025; 0.05; 0.1 and y = 0.0125) aimed to increase the number of electrons carrier, so that the electrical conductivity enhanced. The XRD patterns showed that the highest purity of prepared Sr2TiO4 RP phase sample was obtained at the mole ratio of Sr:Ti of 2:1 with specific peaks at 2θ: 31.35°, 46.73°, and 57.33°. Then, this mole ratio was used to prepare the codoped-samples, and the XRD patterns showed the Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample has the highest purity. SEM images showed that the undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 samples have a plate-like particles with micrometer size. The electrical conductivity of Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample was measured to be a 17-fold increase compared to that of undoped-Sr2TiO4 sample.

Abstract

AbstractOver-nutrition among adolescents aged 13-15 years in Indonesia is increasing from moderate (5-9%) in 2010 to severe level (>10%) in 2013. DKI Jakarta has the third highest prevalence of overweight among adolescents 13-15 aged years, which is above national prevalence. High calorie snacks cause overweight in adolescents. SMP Negeri 16 is one of junior high schools in urban area in South Jakarta. SMP 16 is located in a strategic area and near three minimarkets that provide various snacks. Objective of this activity is to empower students to choose appropriate snack with their nutritional need. This activity was conducted in SMP 16, from 30 September to 12 October 2016. In concept, this activity was begun with situation and problem analysis and started from planning, organizing, actuating then evaluating. This activity introduced nutritional balance concept, the pattern of nutritional balance for adolescents aged 13-15 years and demonstrated them how to select the appropriate snacks with the adolescence nutritional balance. The result indicated that the over-nutrition (overweight and obesity) problem in SMP 16 has high category (33%). As 58% students has body fat percentage above normal. Most of them consume high calorie drinks three to six in a week. Canteen in SMP 16 has not provided healthy and nutritious snacks. T-test statistic between student pre-test and post-test was applied to evaluate this activity, there was improvement in their knowledge and attitude toward appropriate snacks after this activity (p=0,000). Keywords: overweight, adolescent, high calorie AbstrakMasalah kegemukan remaja usia 13-15 tahun di Indonesia meningkat dari kategori moderate/sedang (5-9%) menjadi severe/parah (>10%). DKI Jakarta merupakan propinsi ketiga tertinggi dengan prevalensi gemuk dan sangat gemuk pada anak usia 13-15 tahun, prevalensinya di atas angka nasional. Makanan/minuman selingan manis tinggi kalori yang banyak digemari oleh para remaja saat ini berisiko menyebabkan overweight ataupun obesitas pada remaja. SMP Negeri 16 Jakarta merupakan salah satu SMP di wilayah perkotaan Jakarta tepatnya Jakarta Selatan. SMPN 16 memiliki lokasi yang sangat strategis, akses yang sangat dekat dengan ketiga minimarket sekaligus menyebabkan mudah memperoleh berbagai jenis minuman dan makanan ringan yang tersedia lengkap dengan berbagai pilihan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan siswa agar mampu secara mandiri memilih makanan minuman selingan yang benar dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi remaja usia 13-15 tahun. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diselenggarakan di SMP N Jakarta, dari tanggal 30 September hingga 12 Oktober 2016. Secara konsep, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diawali dengan analisis situasi dan masalah.  Kegiatan pada dimulai dari tahap planning lalu organizing kemudian actuating, diakhiri dengan evaluating. Penyuluhan mengenalkan konsep gizi seimbang, pola gizi seimbang bagi remaja usia SMP, dan memberdayakan siswa agar mampu secara mandiri memilih jenis makanan dan minuman selingan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi remaja. Hasilnya menunjukkan SMPN 16 memiliki tingkat masalah kegemukan yang tinggi (33%). Sebanyak 58% siswa memiliki persen lemak tubuh di atas normal. Sebagian besar mahasiswa mengkonsumsi minuman-minuman tinggi kalori 3-6 kali perminggu. Kondisi kantin SMPN 16 belum mampu mendukung terciptanya jajanan sehat bergizi bagi siswa. Berdasarkan uji statistik t-test antara pre-test dan post-test, terdapat perbaikan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa setelah diberikan penyuluhan (p=0,000). Kata kunci: kegemukan, remaja, tinggi kalori

Abstract

Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) is a study of language which views language as two characteristics, systemic and functional. With using SFL, the researchers try to analyze the tale’s story of Sabai Nan Aluih. The research aim is to identify the interpersonal meaning realized in that story and to reveal the speech function of language use in that story. The research design of this analysis is descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is the interpersonal meaning analysis of clauses as exchange in the tale of Sabai Nan Aluih. The data of this research is the clauses as exchange in the story of Sabai Nan Aluih. The source of data which is used in this research is the documentation of the data research paper. The researchers use document analysis from the story of Sabai Nan Aluih as collecting data. The data is analyzed by using description method. In the interpersonal analysis, declarative mood dominates almost the story, it is about 91 %. And, the data analysis of speech function is found in the story of Sabai Nan Aluih, statement, question and command, in where statement is domination from the story about 94%. Abstract

The speed of data transformation is very much needed in order to increase work and information needs. this is very much needed in all fields. especially in the industrial sector. we can use this growing technology for many things, to minimize errors and also make work easier. it is a pity if we can take advantage of existing technology but calculations and work are still done manually. therefore, in research this is designed a web-based application using php and mysql. with this application design, it is expected to be able to make work more effective and efficient. and in this sophisticated digital age, it would be better if we choose to reduce the use of paper. this can also save operational costs and a step to reduce global warming. and during a pandemic like this, it is very necessary to reduce face-to-face interactions. to reduce that interaction and make it easier to store data and search for data in making reports and calculating cost estimates,make it application design of web- based cost of goods sold and production estimation application.
