Abstract

Pada akhir-akhir ini, beberapa metode untuk sintesis nanopartikel perak (Ag-NP) telah menjadi topik penelitian yang menarik. Penggunaan ekstrak tanaman melalui proses green sintesis dalam pembuatan nanopartikel merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang sangat efektif dan ramah lingkungan serta hemat biayanya. Dalam penelitian ini dilaporkan biosintesis nanopartikel perak menggunakan ekstrak Uncaria Gambir Roxb. Karakterisasi nanopartikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan spektroskopi ultraviolet-siar tampak (UV-Vis), difraksi sinar-X (XRD), pemindaian mikroskop elektron (SEM). Spektrum UV-Vis dari media air yang mengandung nanopartikel perak menunjukkan puncak serapan di sekitar 398 nm. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa adanya kristal perak (Ag) dengan struktur kubik (fcc). Studi SEM menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata diameter nanopartikel perak perak yang terbentuk adalah kecil dari 100 nm. Abstract

Sintesis fasa Aurivillius berlapis empat dengan formula Sr1-xBi3+xNdTi4-xMnxO15 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode lelehan garam. Produk dikarakterisasi dengan difraksi sinar-X dan SEM. Hasil analisis difraksi sinar-X dan dilanjutkan dengan refinement struktur dengan teknik Le Bail didapatkan hasil fasa Aurivillius berlapis empat dengan struktur ortorombik dan grup ruang A21am untuk semua sampel. Namun fasa tambahan juga diamati berupa fasa perovskit dan fasa lain. Morfologi permukaan dari sampel terlihat seperti kristal lempengan sebagai karakteristk dari fasa Aurivillius. Sifat dielektrik telah diukur dengan alat LCR-meter dan haslinya memperlihatkan peningkatan nilai konstanta dielektrik dengan meningkatnya jumlah Mn3+ dalam sampel. Abstract

Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1, 2,...n)Ruddlesden-Popper phase is a metal oxide compound with a layered structure consisting of SrTiO3 perovskite layers and strontium oxide (SrO) layers, thus this material has a potential as termoeletrik compounds that could be developed as an alternative material for renewable energy. In this study, we examine one of the 3 parameters of termoelectric properties, namely the electrical conductivity. Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1 and 2)Ruddlesden-Popper phases were synthesized using molten salt method. The synthesis was carried out at 950 °C for 10 hours with a ratio of precursor and salt were 1: 0.5. Structural analysis by X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) confirmed that all synthesized compounds formed Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1, and 2) Ruddlesden-Popper phase with the characteristic peaks at 2q = 31o, 32o, and 46o. The morphology analysis by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) showed that the particles have plate-shaped with crystallites size were 20 nm. The electrical properties were measured using LCR meter with the highest electrical conductivity of 2.25x10-7 S / cm which showed the semiconductors behaviour.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of huge paddy producing countries so that it also produces rice husk in a great number. Rice husks contain high silica. Which is good in silica compounds synthesis such as Wollastonit (CaSiO3). Nowadays Wollastonit has attracted great intension doe to its ability to increase mechanical properties of a material. In this work, rice husk was taken from Sariak Laweh, Lima Puluh Kota district and CaO was taken from Halaban, in the same district. Analysis with XRF show that SiO2 and CaO content of both samples were high enough, 97% and 98% which indicated their good potential as silica and calcium source in to synthesize of Wollastonit. Characterization XRD and SEM were found that the Wollastonit obtained which rice husks gave good result.

Abstract

Four-layered Aurivillius phases PbBi4Ti4O15doped with Nd3+ with formula PbBi3NdTi4O15 were synthesized by molten-salt technique using NaCl and KCl (1:1 molar ratio) as the flux. Precursors were weighed stoichiometrycally and grinded with salts mixture in 1:7 ratio (product : salts mixture) until homogenous. The samples were heated at temperature 600oC, 700oC, 800oC, and 900oC for 5 hours for each temperature. The products were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and LCR-meter. XRD data were refined by Rietica program using Le Bail technique. Refinement results showed the best structure as the A21am of space group for both samples. Surface analysis for each samples morphology is the plate-like by SEM characterization. Dielectric constants measured at room temperature show that the sample doped Nd3+ has lower value than sample without containing Nd3+ cation.

Abstract

Synthesis of four-layer Aurivillius CaBi3LaTi4O15 has been successfully carried out by hydrothermal technique using NaOH 4 M as mineralizer. The reaction was carried out at 220 °C for 72 h. Crystal structure, morphology, and dielectric properties were analyzed in this study. X-ray diffraction confirmed that the single-phase product was successfully obtained. The refinement result shows the product has orthorhombic crystal structure with space group A21am. The morphology analyzed using SEM shows plate-like grains are observed, which is characteristic of Aurivillius phase. Dielectric curves show peaks at 585 °C which indicate ferroelectric transition temperature.

Abstract

In this research, undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) phase compounds have been synthesized with mole variations of Sr:Ti and dopants. Double substitution with Sm3+ for Sr2+ sites and Nb5+ for Ti4+ sites forming Sr2-xSmxTi1-yNbyO4 (x = 0.0125; 0.025; 0.05; 0.1 and y = 0.0125) aimed to increase the number of electrons carrier, so that the electrical conductivity enhanced. The XRD patterns showed that the highest purity of prepared Sr2TiO4 RP phase sample was obtained at the mole ratio of Sr:Ti of 2:1 with specific peaks at 2θ: 31.35°, 46.73°, and 57.33°. Then, this mole ratio was used to prepare the codoped-samples, and the XRD patterns showed the Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample has the highest purity. SEM images showed that the undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 samples have a plate-like particles with micrometer size. The electrical conductivity of Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample was measured to be a 17-fold increase compared to that of undoped-Sr2TiO4 sample.

Abstract

Synthesis of ferroelectric material based onAurivillius phases, (Ca0.5Ba0.5)Bi4Ti4O15 (CBBT), have been done using a molten salts technique.The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed the characteristic peaks at 2θ = 12.93°, 17.31°, 21.64°, 23.23°, 27.71°, 30.33°, and 32.90° which was correspond to the four-layers of Aurivillius phase.Refinement structure using the Le Bail method, the sample is suitable for orthorhombic structures with the A21am space group. The orthorhombicity of the CBBT is small and nearer to tetragonal symmetry.Fourier Transform Infra-red (FTIR) spectra show distortion of TiO6 octahedral at 847 cm-1 and strain vibrations of TiO6 octahedra at 545 cm-1 due to A-O bonds.Analysis using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) shows the morphology of the sample in the form of plate-like which is characteristic of Aurivillius phase.The ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition temperature (Tc) was obtained at 635ºC.The band gap value of the CBBT compound was 3.17 eV, relatively the same with the CaBi4Ti4O15 (CBT) compound.

Abstract

Sintesis nanopartikel perak-TCP telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Nanopartikel perak dibuat dengan mereduksi larutan perak nitrat dengan menggunakan ekstrak daun alpukat sebagai bioreduktor. Tricalsium Phosphate (TCP) dicelupkan kedalam nanopartikel perak membentuk komposit perak-tricalcium phosphate. Hasil analisis UV-Vis menunjukkan pembentukan puncak serapan nanopartikel perak pada panjang 445-446 nm, yakni puncak yang khas dari nanopartikel perak yang disebabkan oleh adanya fenomena Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR). Penelitian ini menghasilkan perak-TCP dengan ukuran nanopartikel. Sesuai  hasil X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) yang menunjukkan bahwa ukuran kristal TCP adalah 64 nm dan ukuran Kristal perak dalam komposit adalah 46 nm. Hasil Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) menunjukan partikel perak terdistribusi dipermukaan partikel TCP. Kata Kunci: Komposit perak-TCP, nanopartikel perak, Percea americana,  tricalcium phosphate.  The silver-TCP nanoparticle synthesis was carried out in this study. Silver nanoparticles are made by reducing silver nitrate solution using avocado leaf extract as a bioreactor. Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP) is dipped into silver nanoparticles to form a silver-tricalcium phosphate composite. The UV-Vis analysis shows the formation of silver nanoparticle absorption peaks at a length of 445-446 nm, which is a typical peak of silver nanoparticles caused by the Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) phenomenon. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) shows that the TCP crystal size is 64 nm and the size of the Silver Crystal in the composite is 46 nm. The results of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) show silver particles distributed on the surface of TCP particles Keywords: Percea americana, silver-TCP composite, silver nanoparticle, tricalcium phosphate.

Abstract

Perkembangan nanoteknologi berkaitan dengan nanomaterial berfungsi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan antibakteri serta mengurangi jumlah pemakaian logam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu, pH dan waktu sintesis hidrotermal terhadap karakteristik nanopartikel tembaga ferit (CuFe2O4­) yang selanjutnya diaplikasikan sebagai antibakteri. Nanopartikel tembaga ferit (NTF) telah disintesis dengan memadukan metode green sintesis dan hidrotermal. Ekstrak daun gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb) digunakan sebagai capping agent dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis XRD memberikan informasi bahwa NTFyang disintesis dengan penambahan ekstrak daun gambir dan NaOH serta dengan penambahan NaOH saja pH 12 suhu 180˚C selama 8 jam berfase kubik. NTF yang disintesis dengan penambahan ekstrak daun gambir dan NaOH pH 12 suhu 180˚C selama 8 jam memiliki ukuran paling kecil yaitu 24nm. Dari hasil fotograf SEM diketahui NTF yang disintesis pada suhu 180˚C selama 8 jam pH 12 berbentuk spheric dan masih ada yang teraglomerasi. Nanopartikel tembaga ferit yang disintesis diaplikasikan pada bakteri gram positif (S.aureus) dan gram negatif (E.coli) menggunakan metode difusi sumuran. NTF yang disintesis pada suhu 180˚C selama 8 jam pH 10 dan 12 efektif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri E. coli dan S. aureus.
