Abstract

The scenario of Industry 4.0 and 21st century skills show rapidly increase and informed. In this century, the main goal of our educational system should be able to answer students needed for living in the world. In recent years, STEM Education has received growing attention to be considered to understand STEM Education. In the South East Asia, Indonesia is one of the biggest country has a large number of human resources that should be developed. This study was aimed to examine the movement of STEM education in Indonesia within the scope of 21st century skills categories by using the content analysis method, examine best practice of STEM education for teachers by investigating engineering design skills training and reviewed the literature from 1990 to 2016 that has emphasized on development of STEM education around the world. The findings showed that STEM Education has been developed around Indonesia and has a positive impact to enhance students? concept comprehension, literacy, and creativity. Many researches provide evidence the best practice for science teacher to implement STEM Education. STEM has a close to daily life and increase student awareness with the environment.

Abstract

Creativity is a key component in the last century skills and has been highlighted in curricular research globally especially in Indonesia. This research therefore aimed at analyzing and identifying perspectives of creativity by pre-service teachers when a likely solution step was generated in the DBL. Three separate design based learning activities were undertaken by 13 female and 11 male pre-service teachers. Two separate methods have been used for analysis of data gathered from pre-service teachers’ writings and drawings, half-structured interviews, and field notes. In quantitative study of pre-service teachers' works and in exploring the notions of creativity, fluency, flexibility, and originality. In this study descriptive analysis was used. In semi-structured interviews and field notes the findings of the descriptive analysis included quality anal­yses. Description analysis showed the highest showed in creativity and flexibility, but the lowest was originality. The findings of content analysis further showed a variety of factors influencing the uniqueness of pre-service teachers ideas including exposure of people to ideas, knowledge of design based learning and the prototyping of pre-service teachers' ideas. The study results might enhance the usage of DBL to help educators and researchers understand the strengths and limits of their pupils through the creativity and STEM education.

Abstract

Di banyak negara di seluruh dunia, ada peningkatan penekanan pada peningkatan pembelajaran sains melalui pendidikan STEM. Literasi pendidikan STEM harus lebih banyak dianalisa di Indonesia. Sebagai contoh, mengembangkan beberapa metode atau pendekatan tentang pendidikan STEM masih dikembangkan oleh banyak peneliti dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pendidikan STEM. Namun, pra-penelitian tentang literasi siswa tentang pendidikan STEM harus dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik murid Indonesia. Tulisan ini menyajikan fakta tentang pendidikan STEM di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan randomized control group pretest and posttest. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa bukti indikator pendidikan STEM yang dapat membantu peneliti lain untuk mengembangkan pendidikan STEM di Indonesia. Ada kebutuhan untuk penelitian tentang pendidikan STEM untuk memberikan para siswa dengan keterampilan abad 21. Namun, kami menyarankan untuk mengembangkan STEM Education yang berfokus pada siswa Indonesia dan kondisi fasilitas sekolah.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to develop student’s creativity in mind map usage as a STAD based Consolidation base. The research used a randomized control group pretest-posttest, true experiment method. Random Cluster Sampling technic was used to collect data from student creativity test, questionnaire, and rubric. The results showed the positive development of student creativity. It can be concluded that mind map as a STAD based Consolidation Phase develops students creativity.               Keywords: mind map, consolidation phase, stad              AbstrakTujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam penggunaan peta konsep sebagai consolidation phase berbasis STAD. Dengan sample penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik randon cluster sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari test krevitas siswa, kuesioner, dan rubrik. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop STEM-based science teaching materials in grade IV SDN Serdang Wetan. This study uses a research and development method by adapting the Borg and Gall system design and learning model. Based on the results of problem analysis through observation, interviews, and field questionnaires, it shows that the science learning that takes place at SDN Serdang Wetan is still lacking in teaching materials used and the teaching materials used have not improved the conditions of scientific literacy by solving problems in the real world by creating relevant works. with life, so it is necessary to develop in the use of ready-made teaching materials based on STEM. Product validation involves 4 experts. In the product validation that will be assessed in the form of appropriateness of content, language, and presentation according to BNSP. After being revised it was then tested on a small scale. The results show the expert's assessment with an average rating of 90% with very valid criteria. Keywords: research and development, STEM-based teaching materials, SDN Serdang Wetan Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar IPA berbasis STEM di kelas IV SDN Serdang Wetan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model desain sistem dan pembelajaran Borg and Gall. Berdasarkan hasil analisis masalah melalui obserwasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA yang berlangsung di SDN Serdang Wetan masih minimnya bahan ajar yang digunakan dan bahan ajar yang digunakan belum meningkatkan kondisi literasi sains dengan memecahkan permasalahan dalam dunia nyata dengan menciptakan sebuat karya yang relevan dengan kehidupan, sehingga diperlukan pengembangan dalam penggunaan bahan ajar yang sudah jadi dengan berbasis STEM. Validasi produk melibatkan 4 orang ahli. Dalam validasi produk yang akan dinilai berupa kelayakan isi, bahasa, dan penyajian menurut BNSP. Setelah direvisi kemudian diuji coba dalam skala kecil. Hasilnya menunjukkan penilaian para ahli dengan rata-rata penilaian sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Kata kunci: Penelitian dan pengembangan, bahan ajar berbasis STEM, SDN Serdang Wetan

Abstract

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has practical challenges, frequently linked to a restricted concept of sustainable literacy. This study investigates the effect of COVID-19 on sustainability literate views and practices using an educational symposium that detects changes in attitudes and practices of sustainability. This research investigates how disruption of pandemics might influence people and organizations. By comparing past global environmental restructuring plans with personal, professional and societal developments. Conceptions on sustainability and practice have modified the influence of COVID 19 on learning. The results demonstrate that the advantages of the epidemic have improved educators' thinking and increased their will for change by using the social networks of the educational community to promote collective action. Keywords: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) , covid19, perceptions’ and activities’ pre-service

Abstract

AbstractBukuLimau Island is located in Bangka Belitung Provincewhich only have one kindergarten and elementary school. That area doesn’t have another school such as junior school level and above; because of the facilities in higher education levels after elementary school doesn’t exist effected interest’s students to continue to the next level due to the distance and costs that must be prepared to schools. In the other hand, the reading literacy of students becomes less especially the unavailability of a facilities in the school library. The method was used an individual approach carried out in groups into three parts (Edu-support team, motivation team, and counseling team). The activities found several results from three aspects: (1) Motivation Team, found the level of interest of students towards different learning; (2) The Counseling Team was formed a youth organization to organize the BukuLimauIsland community activities, such as competitions, routine recitation, mutual cooperation, etc.; (3) Edu-Support Team, improvement of 3 educational facilities, there were school library, village reading park, and public space. Keywords:buku limau island, library, reading literacy AbstrakDi Provinsi Bangka Belitung, tepatnya di Pulau Buku Limau hanya tersedia sarana pendidikan jenjang PAUD dan SD saja. Tidak adanya SMP, SMA; jenjang pendidikan lebih tinggi setelah sekolah dasar membuat siswa SD di Pulau Buku Limau banyak yang tidak memiliki minat untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang berikutnya dikarenakan jarak dan biaya yang harus di tempuh untuk ke sekolah-sekolah yang dituju. Oleh karena itu, minat baca siswa pun menjadi kurang terlebih tidak tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai pada perpustakaan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan secara individual yang dilaksanakan berkelompok menjadi tiga bagian (timedu-support, tim motivasi, dan tim bimbingan konseling). Ditemukan beberapa hasil dari tiga aspek: (1) Tim Motivasi, ditemukan tingkat minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda; (2) Tim Konseling, membentuk organisasi remaja karang taruna guna menggerakkan kegiatan bermasyarakat Pulau Buku Limau, seperti lomba-lomba, pengajian rutin, gotong-royong, dan lain sebagainya; (3) Tim Edu-Support, perbaikan 3 sarana pendidikan yaitu perpustakaan sekolah, taman baca desa, dan lapangan serbaguna. Kata kunci:pulau buku limau, perpustakaan, literasi membaca

Abstract

This study aims to develop participants' knowledge, attitudes, and skills about Indonesian dance as an art form. Kemmis and Taggart's concept of action research is included into the study procedure. Data collection procedures use a questionnaire. The study sample consists of sixth-grade students. The information, attitudes, and skills of appreciation for Indonesian dance should be taught to primary school students as part of efforts to disseminate the culture of the archipelago, especially the art of dance. This is significant since it is one of the attempts to summarize the archipelago's culture. Curriculum for learning and enjoying Indonesian dance is comprised of two distinct iterations. Each cycle consists of four sessions in total. In the period leading up to the commencement of the first action cycle, a preliminary evaluation was conducted. Compared to the results of the pretest, the post-test results obtained after the completion of the first cycle revealed an improvement. The results of the post-test at the end of the second cycle shown an improvement over the results of the post-test at the end of the first cycle, and they even reached the stipulated objective. The outcomes of the study project allow us to make the following conclusion: the blended learning approach is a good instrument for cultivating a stronger appreciation of Indonesian dance. It has been suggested that art and culture teachers in elementary schools use a kind of instruction called as integrated learning.
