Abstract

The aim of this Community Service activity is to help English teachers at the PAUD level in West Sikur village to find, create and apply materials for English teaching and learning activities interactively and according to the children's ages. To achieve this goal, the training method is through training and theoretical deepening. The results of this activity can be described in general as follows: participants were able to understand the theoretical basis for teaching English in kindergarten or PAUD, participants were able to recognize several English songs that could be used for teaching. participants are able to combine songs and movements to help teach English, participants know and try to read simple English stories, participants are able to create simple media to help teach English, participants are able to plan learning activities with fun activities, and participants know and practice several types of games to help with teaching.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya pola asuh yang beragam terjadi dikalangan masyarakat yang berakibat atau berdampak pada pembentukan karakter anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) untuk mengetahui dampak yang terjadi terhadap karakteristik anak akibat pola asuh otoriter, 2) untuk mengetahui dampak yang terjadi terhadap karakteristik anak akibat pola asuh permisif, 3) untuk mengetahui dampak yang terjadi terhadap karakteristik anak akibat pola asuh demokratis. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode naratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan observasi. Objek penelitian ini adalah oran tua murid kelompok B TK PGRI Beber dengan jumlah 32 responden. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat 37% orangtua murid kelompok B di TK PGRI Beber menerapkan pola asuh otoriter, 47% menerapkan pola asuh permisif, 16% menerapkan pola asuh demokratis. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa baik buruknya karakter anak tergantung pada pola asuh orang tua yang diterapkan.Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh Otoriter, Pola Asuh Permisif, Pola Asuh Demokratis, dan Karakter Anak AbstractThe background of the research is that various parenting styles occur in society, which impact the formation of early childhood characters. This study aims to 1) determine the impact of authoritarian parenting on children's characteristics, 2) determine the impact of permissive parenting on children's characteristics, and 3) determine the impact of democratic parenting on children's characteristics. Narrative and qualitative research design were adopted in this study, then for the data-collecting techniques, the researchers used questionnaires and observation. 32 respondents represented the objects of the study, which were the parents of students in group B of the TK PGRI Beber. According to the findings of this study, 37% of parents of group B students in TK PGRI Beber adopted authoritarian parenting, 47% adopted permissive parenting, and 16% adopted democratic parenting. As a result,  it can be concluded that the good and bad character of the child depends on the parenting applied.Keywords: Authoritarian Parenting, Permissive Parenting, Democratic Parenting, and Children's Character

Abstract

Study aims to develop worksheet teaching materials products and to determine the effect of worksheet teaching materials on the early reading ability of children aged 5-6 years at KB Nurul Iman Ketangga the academic year 2022/2023. The type of research used in this study is experimental method. The research design used was pre-experimental in the form of One-Group pretest- posttest design. The subjects of this study were all 15 children of group B1 KB Nurul Iman. The instruments used to collect data are in the form of validation sheets, observation sheets and documentation. In addition, it can also be seen from the results of hypothesis testing with a value of ??????>?????? (12.94 > 2.145). So it can be concluded that the worksheet teaching materials are effectively used to improve the early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years at KB Nurul Iman Ketangga.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1. Identify what learning media are used in developing the language of children aged 4-5 years, 2. To identify what learning media are dominantly used in developing the language of children aged 4-5 years, 3. To identify media What kinds of learning are effectively used in developing the language of children aged 4-5 years. The type of research used was survey research. Methods and data collection in the study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The sample in this study was 20% of the 26 PAUD in Sekarbela District, so that the research sample was obtained as many as 5 PAUD in Sekarbela District. The results of the research and data analysis showed that the learning media used in developing the language of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Sekarbela District were 29 learning media or as many as 82.9% of 35 learning media which were included in 4 indicator items, and learning media which are dominantly used in developing the language of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Sekarbela as many as 5 learning media or as much as 14.2% of 35 learning media which are included in 3 indicator items, as well as effective learning media used in developing children's language. 4-5 years in PAUD Sekarbela District as many as 4 learning media or 11.4% of the 35 learning media which are included in 2 indicator items.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (i) to describe the level of character development needs of early childhood through parenting model learning in RA Barokatus Saulatiyah. (ii) Knowing the early childhood character development prototype through parenting model learning in RA Barokatus Saulatiyah. (iii) Knowing the analysis of the level of validity and practicality of early childhood character development through parenting model learning in RA Barokatus Saulatiyah. This type of research is a type of research and development (research and development). The research subjects were teachers and parents. The data analysis technique used is to analyze the data in a descriptive and practical way. The results showed that (i) The level of need for Early Childhood Character Development through Parenting Model Learning in RA Barokatus Saulatiyah can be illustrated that there is still a lack of understanding from educators, especially teachers and parents about the importance of shaping early childhood character, this shows that teachers in the group are still found. B complained that 2 parents (out of 15 children in group B) often asked for homework in the form of reading, writing, arithmetic (calistung). Kindergarten teachers who already understand the stages of child development end up in a dilemma because theoretically it is known that learning to read for early childhood cannot be forced; (ii) An overview of the design form of Early Childhood Character Development through Parenting Model Learning consists of two components, namely the model philosophy component and the model implementation component. The components of the model philosophy include rationality, goals, teacher roles and system support. Meanwhile, the operational components of the model are described in detail in all types of activities with different themes. All activities are packed with the aim of developing early childhood character; (iii) The level of content validity and practicality of Early Childhood Character Development through Parenting Model Learning at RA Barokatus Saulatiyah, indicates that the validator's assessment of all the tools that have been presented can be declared valid for use and development of Early Childhood Character Development through Parenting Model Learning meets practical aspects so that it is suitable for use.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the implementation of picture word cards media by teachers at RA Al-Aufiya NW to children of B group. The method of this research was used descriptive research in the form of survey method. This research used data collected technique through non test at RA Al-Aufiya NW using interview, questionnaire, and observation method. The result of this research was analyzed with the steps of Editing, Coding, and Scoring, that describe a picture word cards media in learning activities. The result of this research showed that a picture word cards media is one of the media used by teachers to improve the aspect of children’s language especially the basic skill of reading at Children of B group. However, the used of this media is very rare, because the teachers use media writing and journal more often. A picture word cards can improve the students’ enthusiasm for learning.
