Abstract

The era disruption carrying a lot of changes, both from field of social, culture, economic and education. In the field education in the face of the disruption, educators must be able to develop four skills, namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Teachers and prospective educators need to develop critical thinking skills by using learning strategies. So we need a method which appropriated with developing of critical thinking skills. Aims of study are describe concept of Research Based Learning (RBL), concept of critical thinking skills, and relationship of RBL and critical thinking skills. The results of Research Based Learning (RBL) can improve critical thinking skills because in this learning method uses authentic learning, problem-solving, cooperative learning, contextual (hands on & minds on) and inquiry-discovery approaches.

Abstract

 AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tema indahnya keragaman di negeriku melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan multimedia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Jatipurus tahun ajaran 2019/2020 berjumlah 21 siswa. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat ditunjukkan pada hasil belajar siswa dengan rerata siklus I = 69,79, siklus II = 81,2 dan siklus III = 86,9 dengan penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan multimedia pada guru diperoleh hasil siklus I = 74,79%, siklus II = 84,79%, dan siklus III = 90,42%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar IPS tema indahnya keragaman di negeriku meningkat melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan multimedia pada siswa kelas IV SDN Jatipurus tahun ajaran 2019/2020.Kata kunci: pendekatan saintifik, multimedia, hasil belajar IPS
