Abstract

The deviation of the frequency of a power system from its nominal value is a reflection of the mismatch between generation and load. Such deviation are serious and must be monitored and controlled very closely. One major impact of operation outside a narrow range around the nominal frequency is that generators can demaged. To avoid this, manufacturers set time interval limits for under-frequency operation and when such limits are exceeded, the generator trips. Howeever, unless generator tripping is coordinated with some accompanying load shedding, the system inablitiy to supply its load can be exacerbated resulting in an even worse frequency deviation.Under-frequency load shedding (UFLS) is designed to protect the power system from event leading to a sudden drop in system frequency, when the primary frequency regulation built into the generation system is not enough to bring the frequency back to nominal. Under-frequency load shedding disconnect blocks of load when the frequency drop below given threshold. This study aims to model and simulate each stage of the shed of the load that is in the electrical system of the city of Kendari using low frequency relays and assess the effectiveness of each stage to return the system frequency and voltage to the value that is still permitted.The results showed that the simulation of each stage of load release with the help of DigSilent Power Factory 10.1.7 software was able to minimize the amount of outages, and was able to restore the System frequency when the frequency was minimal due to the sudden loss of power suppliers(generator). The frequency recovery rate of the study shows the release of loads starting from 2.57 MW - 3.33 MW frequency recovery from 49.4 Hz - 50.00 Hz.Keywords: Frequency and Voltage, Loss generator, Under-Frequency Load Shedding.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan energi listrik terus meningkat setiap tahun di Indonesia khususnya di Kecamatan Mowila. Di Kecamatan Mowila sendiri terdapat saluran irigasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dari saluran irigasi sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro. Untuk mengatasi krisis energi yang terjadi, maka tidak ada pilihan lain selain meningkatkan pemanfaatan energi alternative sebagaimana yang dilakukan negara - negara lain, baik itu negara berkembang maupun negara maju, antara lain peningkatan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saluran irigasi di Kecamatan Mowila berpotensi sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro dengan daya terbangkit generator pada saluran 1 sebesar 65 kVA dengan head 1 m, saluran 2 sebesar 166,6 kVA dengan head 1,4 m, dan saluran 3 sebesar 363,76 kVA dengan head 1,7 m. Kata Kunci : Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro, Kecamatan Mowila – Sulawesi Tenggara, head.

Abstract

Pada alat ini akan dibuat sebuah prototipe perancangan alat pemilah berdasarkan massa benda berbasis arduino uno menggunakan sensor berat (load cell). Perancangan alat pemilah berdasarkan massa benda ini terdiri dari tempat menimbang atau mengukur massa benda yang terdapat sensor load cell di bawahnya, pendorong benda dengan servo sebagai penggerak, sebuah konveyor dengan motor DC sebagai pengerak lantai konveyor, corong jatuhnya benda dengan servo sebagai pengerak dan tiga buah wadah penampung benda. Pengukuran atau pemilahan berdasarkan massa benda ini memanfaatkan teknologi arduino uno sebagai mikrokontroler, sensor load cell, LCD, servo dan motor DC. Ketika benda diletakkan diatas tempat penimbangan maka sensor load cell akan melakukan pengambilan data berdasarkan massa benda yang terukur oleh load cell. Data yang diambil akan dikirim ke HX711 yang kemudian dikirim ke arduino uno dan ditampilkan ke LCD. Adapun perangkat atau komponen tambahan berupa HX711, I2C dan breadboard. Seluruh komponen ini dapat bekerja secara otomatis karena dikendalikan oleh arduino uno sebagai pusat pengontrolan. Secara keseluruhan sistem ini terdiri dari perancangan sensor load cell, pendorong benda, konveyor, corong jatuhnya benda, wadah penampung dan catu daya. Tahapan uji coba alat ini meliputi uji rangkaian sensor load cell dengan HX711, uji coba rangkaian servo, uji coba rangakaian motor DC dan uji coba proses pemilahan berdasarkan massa benda secara otomatis. Hasil pengujian menunjukan rancang bangun alat sudah dapat bekerja dengan baik dalam melakukan proses pengukuran dan pemilahan berdasarkan massa benda. Kata Kunci : Arduino Uno, Load Cell, HX711, I2C, LCD, Breadboard, Servo, Motor DC, Konveyor.

Abstract

In general, farmers water plants when the conditions are met, such as dry soil, no rain, and cold temperatures. One of the efficient ways to control it is to use an artificial neural network-based automatic plant watering system. The purpose of this study was to determine the success of artificial neural networks as decision-makers to water plants automatically. The stages of designing an automatic watering system based on an artificial neural network were to build software including artificial neural network modeling and Arduino microcontroller programming, automatically watering tools, evaluating tool performance, and testing tools in real-time. The test results show that the artificial neural network-based automatic plant watering system can water plants according to the given input pattern. The artificial neural network structure obtained is three neurons in the input layer, eight neurons in the hidden layer, and one neuron in the output layer. The artificial neural network-based automatic plant watering system succeeded in automatically watering two areas of land that the success rate is a 100%.Keyword— Automatic Watering, Microcontroller, ANN, Annual Crops.
