Abstract

Abstract: This research was intended to create interactive multimedia  with multirepresentation approach to gain study result of student class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak on the concept of Archimedes theory equipped with using manual. The method of research that was applied in this research was developmental research with procedural model which referred to research and development of Borg and Gall. There were 62 students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak who took part in this research. The study result of concept of Archimedes theory was shown by the increasing numbers of students who could solve problem related to Archimedes theory. The problem solving was shown by giving test about concept of Archimedes theory to students to be done precisely. The concept of Archimedes theory used in this research was comparing the mass of an object in the air and water, sinking event, floating event and flying event. Based on the research result there was significant increasing of study result of students in doing test for all indicators, that was 53.45%. In conclusion, interactive multimedia with multirepresentation approach was effective to decrease the numbers of students who could not solve problem on the concept of Archimedes theory. Keywords: development, interactive multimedia, multirepresentation, study result, Archimedes theory Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif pendekatan multirepresentasi untuk perolehan belajar pebelajar kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak pada konsep hukum Archimedes dilengkapi dengan buku panduan penggunaannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan dengan model prosedural dengan berpedoman kepada penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall. Sebanyak 62 pebelajar kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Perolehan belajar konsep hukum Archimedes ditunjukkan dengan semakin banyaknya pebelajar yang dapat memecahkan masalah-masalah berkaitan dengan hukum Archimedes. Pemecahan masalah ditunjukkan dengan cara memberikan soal-soal konsep hukum Archimedes untuk diselesaikan dengan betul oleh pebelajar. Konsep Hukum Archimedes yang digunakan yaitu membandingkan berat benda di udara dan di air, peristiwa tenggelam, peristiwa mengapung dan peristiwa melayang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terjadi perubahan perolehan belajar pebelajar yang signifikan dalam menyelesaikan soal untuk semua indikator soal tes, yaitu sebesar 53,45 %. Dengan demikian, multimedia interaktif pendekatan multirepresentasi efektif untuk mengurangi jumlah pebelajar yang tidak dapat memecahkan masalah pada konsep hukum Archimedes.   Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Multimedia Interaktif, Multirepresentasi, Perolehan Belajar, Hukum Archimedes

Abstract

Learning models were important for the teachers to apply by considering the class setting. How they could manage their class depending on what learning model they could apply. So, it was curious to know what learning model the teachers had used so far. To deal with this, the researchers were eager to find out the answer by the research. This study aims to describe the learning model, the advantages and disadvantages of using the model, and the efforts made by Catholic Education (PAK) teachers in overcoming the disadvantages and strengths of using models in the State Primary Schools in South and Southeast Pontianak. To see the use of the learning model, qualitative research methods were used which consisted of interviews, questionnaires, observations, and focus group discussions. Teachers in the State Elementary Schools in South and Southeast Pontianak had implemented the learning models: Inquiry Model, Story Telling, Role Play, and Discovery Learning contextually. Based on the result, the teacher had a strategy in the application of learning models for example: reading books that are relevant to the model to apply, inviting students to learn outside the room, taking a persuasive and personal approach. Meanwhile, some obstacles faced were the delinquency of students, less in number, a variety of competencies, the existence of students with special needs, and the lack of teaching aids. The advantages of using the learning model were systematic, involving students actively, creating cooperation, motivating students, and improving learning outcomes. The learning model tended to run monotonously. There were several efforts to overcome deficiencies of learning models: taking a personal approach, trying to maximize the use of learning models used, changing models learning that would be considered more suitable or repetitive by applying the same learning model to maximize learning outcomes, conveying material repeatedly, writing student names and adding value to students who are active in groups so they try to want to be active, giving additional assignments to students who have understood learning so students do not have to be in class and trying to maximize the tools and means of learning that exist and do to students.

Abstract

Society service (PKM) about PAK dan Budi Pekerti teachers training toward student’s character building during Covid-19 pandemic at catholic elementary school in Pontianak was an output of the previous research and was motivated by the education reality that is influenced by Covid -19 pandemic which caused the changing of the learning system from offline to online. The learning system changing influenced student’s character building where the PAK teachers could not educate the student’s character education directly at school. This training was aimed to give PAK dan Budi Pekerti Teachers guidance at catholic elementary school in Pontianak so that they always motivated and enthusiastic to do their duty and always attempt to teach the students by considering to the student’s character education during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengadakan katekese kepada PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) dan Minggu Gembira di stasi Santo Yosef Ensibau, Paroki Santa Perawan Maria Balai Sebut-Jangkang. Adapun tema dalam katekese ini adalah “katekese tanda salib (kepada PAUD) dan mengasihi sesama sebagai anak-anak Allah dalam terang (kepada Minggu Gembira). Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pembinaan iman dalam bentuk katekese kepada PAUD dan Minggu Gembira yang diadakan hari Minggu tanggal 23 Oktober 2022 pada pagi hari sebelum di Gereja Santo Yosef Ensibau. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan agar umat; khususnya pengurus Gereja, pembina dan orang dewasa lainnya dapat membantu kegiatan katekese anak; PAUD/Mg yang sudah lama vakum. Serta berupaya menghidupkan kembali kegiatan katekese ini demi keberlangsungan pembinaan iman anak khsuusnya katekese PAUD/MG ini. Kata kunci: Katekese anak; PAUD/Minggu Gembira

Abstract

Physics Learning is always related to mathematical calculations problem. In this study it could be seen that students have mistakes that made them couldn’t solve physics questions correctly. The physical mistakes which consist of representing verbal and physical as well as mathematical mistakes in representing problem solving in form of mathematical became the evidence that students have not completely understood the concept of Archimedes' law and not only mathematical problems that affected the solving Archimedes' law questions. In this qualitative research, which aimed to look at student mistakes in representing the completion of Archimedes' law questions, verbal representation results were obtained with the students’ mistake average was 60%, then there were mathematical mistakes with the students’ percentage was 44% and finally physical mistakes was 33%

Abstract

Administrasi Pendidikan merupakan salah satu mata kuiah wajib yang dikuasai oleh mahasiswa sebagai calon guru. Dalam mata kuliah ini dipelajari materi terkait dengan administrasi guru khususnya pembuatan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan soal High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Idealnya, mahasiswa harus dapat menyusun RPP dan soal HOTS sesuai dengan ketentuan kurikulum yang berlaku. Namun berdasarkan hasil observasi sebagai dosen mata kuliah Administrasi Pendidikan di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Katolik Negeri Pontianak masih terdapat masalah dalam penyusunan RPP dan soal HOTS. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya mahasiswa yang belum bisa menyusun RPP dan soal HOTS dalam mata kuliah Administrasi Pendidikan, dari 25 mahasiswa yang ada di salah satu kelas, 94,7 %  diantaranya belum bisa dan belum paham untuk  membuat RPP dan soal HOTS. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diadakan penelitian kuantitatif ini dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh hasil belajar mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pengajaran menggunakan panduan penyusunan RPP dan soal HOTS yang disediakan oleh dosen dalam mata kuliah Administrasi Pendidikan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitian pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-postest design. Untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian, peneliti memberikan pretest untuk menyusun RPP dan soal HOTS sehingga diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar adalah 12,9 dalam membuat RPP pada saat pretest adalah sedangkan pada saat posttest 82,8. Sehingga persentase perubahan rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam membuat RPP adalah sebesar 84,4 %. Untuk rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam membuat soal HOTS pada saat pretest adalah 0 sedangkan pada saat posttest adalah 25,5 untuk Pilihan ganda dan 51,4 untuk essay. Sehingga persentase perubahan rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam membuat soal HOTS adalah sebesar 100 %.
