Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah perkembangan kemampuan koneksi matematis dan komunikasi matematis siswa, ditinjau berdasarkan pendekatan pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan rancangan kuasi eksperimen dengan disain eksperimen perbandingan kelompok statik. Kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan reciprocal teaching, sedangkan kelompok kontrol pembelajarannya secara konvensional atau pembelajaran biasa.Penelitian ini melibatkan60 siswa kelas 3 SMA Negeri yang berada pada  kelompok atas berdasarkan peringkat sekolah. Analisis data dalam pengujian hipotesis digunakan uji statistik yang sesuai dengan menggnakan pengolan data SPSS  dengan terlebih dahulu menghitung normalitas data dan variansi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa: (1) siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan reciprocal teaching mempunyai kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis lebih baik bila dibandingkan siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional, baik ditinjau secara pendekatan pembelajaran maupun berdasarkan kemapuan awal matematis (KAM) siswa  (2) terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara pembelajaran (reciprocal teaching, konvensional) terhadap kemampuan  koneksi dan komunikasi matematis siswa; (3) terdapat assosiasi antara  kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the using of mind maps as an instrument for evaluating the learning outcomes of VII grade students about heat concept and its displacement in SMP Negeri 1 Tumbang Titi. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the type of this research. The subjects of this research were VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tumbang Titi. 32 students of VII B as the samples. The data collected in this study are students' ability in making mind maps, student learning outcomes that evaluated by mind maps, and the implementation of learning assignments to make mind maps. The results showed that mind maps can be used as instruments for assessing student learning outcomes. Students? ability in making mind maps of the first cycle were 78% excellent category and 22% (enough categories), while the second cycle were 93% (good category) and 7% (enough categories). Students? learning outcomes in the first cycle were 78% complete and 22% were incomplete. 87.5% of students in the cycle II were complete and 12.5% were incomplete. The implementation of instructional learning makes mind maps of the first cycle of 81% and the second cycle of 100%. Based on the results of this study, mind map assignment are expected as an instrument for assessing student learning outcomes. Keywords: Assignments, Heat and Diplacement, Instrument Assessment, Mind Map

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of conducting this research is to know the effectiveness of the levels of inquiry learning model in remediating the misconception of students of Junior High School 16 in Pontianak about pressure material. The form of this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was VIII B. This class consisted of 30 students. The sample was designated by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was diagnostic test through pre-test and post-test. The mean of percentage in the pre-test was 63.3% and the post-test was 22 %. The mean  of student misconception decrease was 77%. Based on the DQM test, the effectiveness of remediation was 65% (Medium level). The result of the Mc Nemar test was obtained 31.25 of is higher than 3.84 of . There was a significant result after remedial misconceptions by using levels of inquiry learning model on the pressure material The teachers are expected to use this learning model levels of inwquiry as an alternative media to remediate student?s misconceptions on pressure material. Abstract

AbstractThe research purpose to improve student learning activities and outcomes through learning models make a match on the heat leasson. This rearch method applied Arikunto cycle classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this research is class VIID public junior high school 11 of Pontianak. Data collection includes (1) observation sheets to observe learning activities, (2) Preliminary test and final test. Student learning activities that are intended to ask, answer, refute and cooperative while the teacher activity application of the make a match learning model. Data obtained indicated an increase student learning activities that are in the category of very active and active ftrom cycle I to cycle II of 1,58% from 76.47% to 90,05%. The results of data analysis show learning outcomesof student who reach the KKM has incteast. The increase learning outcomes in the first cycle was 64,8% while the increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle was 61,8% The results of this study indicate make a match learning model can increase activity and the results increase so other rearcheers can also apply this learning model with motes on studying and understanding the rules of CAR and the steps of learning to make a match.Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Head, Learning Activities, Learning Outcomes, Make a Match,

Abstract

AbstractThe objectives of this research are to find out the errors and the sources of errors. The research was conducted at Senior High School 2 Pontianak with 33 students as the subject. The data collected through essay and interview.  Essay was taken to find out the errors, while interview was conducted to find out the sources of errors. Technique analysis of miles and Huberman was used on the data. The result shows that students’ errors were divided into 4 errors based on Polya’s problem-solving stages. (1) Errors in understanding the problem is 29.7%. Errors was happened due to the lack of conscientious and lack of practices to write down what students know and what students should ask. (2) Errors in planning the solution is 38.8%. The source of errors were due to students’ less experienced in formulating equation and its steps. (3) Difficulties in executing the plan is 55.14%. The source of this errors was the student unable to finish the test based on the plan, thus the student were not able to reach the conclusion. (4) Difficulties in recheck or double check is 49.7%. The sources of errors were miscalculation that caused the students to lost track of the test and made the recheck harder. Keywords : Analyzed of Mistake, Problem Solving based on Polya, Energy and Heat Movement

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research to improved physics result learning on the subject of besiness to the Tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Anjongan was used to Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) model. From of this research was pre-experimental in the from one-group pretest-post test design. This technique was used simple random sampling which consist 30 students. The technique of data collection were observation technique and measurement by measuring tools in from of the result of leaning test. The result of Wilcoxon test showed there was an increase in students learning result with  was obtained Sig p of . It showed that the treatment CTL was effective to improved students learning result. Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to improve the learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Putussibau on Archimedes law through the application of a pictorial riddle-assisted inquiry model. The form of this research was quasy experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design, which involved 24 students of class VIII C (control class) and 24 students of class VIII D (experimental class) of SMP Negeri 2 Putussibau. Learning outcome data obtained through 10 essay test questions and analyzed using independent samples test with a significance level of 5% preceded by analysis prerequisite tests, obtained sig values. (0.012 <0.05) these results indicated that there were differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. Improved learning outcomes in the experimental class were analyzed using the N-Gain score and an increase of 0.47 (moderate category) was obtained. This research is expected to be an alternative for teachers to improve learning outcomes in science-physics learning, especially in conceptual material. Keywords: Archimedes Law, Learning Outcomes, Pictorial Riddle-Assisted   Inquiry Model

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to improve the student learning outcomes by guided inquiry learning models about solid pressure. The populations of this reseach is 8th grade of SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak’s students on 2018/2019 school year. Research sample is determined by purposive sampling technique consists of 29 students. The kind of this research is quasy experimental research used one group pretest posttest design. The datas took by test learning outcomes method consists of 9 multiple choice questions. The result of analisys in t-test shown that the student learning outcomes at points Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 for  t-test score. The results of this research, there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in the pretest and posttest data. The results of this research shown 44 for before while 66 for after being treated in average score of the student learning outcomes. Then the data is analyzed using N-gain testing 0,4 in the medium category, it means there is an improvement of the student learning outcomes about  solid pressure after applied guided inquiry learning models. The result of this study are expected to be an alternative in efforts to improve the student learning outcomes about solid pressure.Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Learning Outcomes, Solid Pressure

Abstract

AbstractThe purposed of this research was to determine the effectiveness of remediation misconception by using  Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) model to reduce the number of the students who have misconceptions about vibration at SMP Negeri 5 Sambas. This research method was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. This research used intact group random sampling which involved 24 students of VIII C class. The diagnostic test which consists of 12 multiple choices with open reason used to identification students? misconceptions. Based on data analysis, there was a decrease percentage the number of the students? who have misconceptions with an average of 75.75 %. The results of the McNemar test showed ?2score (125.83) higher than ?2table (3.84)  which means that the students? conceptual changed significantly after the remediation activity using SSCS model. The remediation effectiveness based on DQM score with an average of 77%  (high category). The SSCS model is expected to be used as alternative remediation activities to reduce the number of the students? who have misconceptions.  Keywords: Misconception, Remediation, SSCS, Vibration

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of self-diagnosis sheet on linear motion towards students? study result at class X SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi. The form of this research is pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The tools of data collection is essay test with five questions. The sample of the research was chose by using purposive sampling technique. The students? study result that analysed through N-gain formula had increased 0.641 (medium). It was found that the average percentage of students? study result before using self-diagnosis sheet was 46% and after the use of self diagnosis sheet is 80%. The use of self-diagnosis sheet is effective to increase students? study result with effect size score obtained 1.520 (high). The result of this research is expected can be used as an alternative learning activity to increase students? study result. Keywords: Effect, Study Result, Linear Motion, Self-Diagnosis Sheet.
