Abstract

AbstractBiancaea sappan  (BS) is traditionally used to treat anticonvulsants, anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, anticoagulant, antiviral, immunostimulant, antioxidant, and antimicrobial treatments. Flavonoids are found in Secang; flavonoids are secondary metabolites that have antioxidant activity. This study aims to identify the flavonoids using TLC and determination of flavonoids content in BS leaves. Initially, The methanol extract of BS was obtained by maceration with ethanol. The qualitative analysis of flavonoid was using TLC and visualization by sprayed with AlCl3. The determination of total flavonoid content is conducted based on the AlCl3 method with total flavonoids expressed in QE (Quercetin equivalent) at the maximum wavelength of 431 nm. The research results showed that BS leaves contain flavonoids and the total flavonoid content of BS leaf extract is 1.0318 mg QE / g extract.Keywords: Caesalpinia sappan; Flavonoid content, Spectrophotometric

Abstract

Senyawa antioksidan alami dapat ditemukan dalam buah-buahan. Salah satu contoh limbah tanaman yang merupakan sumber antioksidan alami yaitu kulit buah naga (Dragon fruit) yang merupakan limbah buah naga (Hylocereus polyrhizus) yang pemanfaatan dan penelitiannya masih terbatas. Pada Penelitian ini dilakukan Isolasi Senyawa antioskidan yang terdapat pada kulit buah naga merah (KBNM). simplisia KBNM segar diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut methanol. Proses selanjutnya dilakukan pemisahan kepolaran kandungan kimia dengan metode cair-cair, esktrak disuspensikan menggunakan air dan di partisi dengan hexan dan etil asetat. Fraksi n-heksan direkristalisasi selanjutnya dilakukan isolasi menggunakan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLTP). Berdasarkan hasil KLTP fraksi n-heksan diperoleh 8 pita tetapi hanya pita 6 (isolat I) dan 8 (isolat II) yang aktif sebagai antioksidan setelah penyemprotan DPPH. Hasil spektroskopi UV-Vis isolat II diduga merupakan senyawa flavonoid. Hasil pengujian aktivitas antioksidan diketahui bahwa ekstrak methanol, fraksi n-heksan dan etil asetat dari kulit KBNM (Hylocereus polyrhizus) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang kurang aktif, sedangkan fraksi air tidak aktif sebagai antioksidan.

Abstract

Yoghurt formulation as facial cleansing lotion has been done in which the emulsifier were nonionic (tween 60 and span 60), amine soap (triethanolamin and stearic acid), and detergent (sodium lauryl sulfate) respectively. The aim was to determine the most optimum stabilty formulation. The evaluation was carried out before and after accelerated condition in 5ºC and 35ºC respectively for 10 cycles.Organoleptic, creaming volume, emulsion type, dirpersed globul, viscosity, and yield value were observed. The result of organoleptik showed that there were no change in color and smell, creaming volume and dispersed globul before and after accelerated condition. Statystic analyses foward the viscosity in formula I was apparently indifferent mean while the second and the third formula were different in viscosity. statystic analyses foward the yield value in formula I was apparently indifferent and the second  was different mean while  the third formula very different in yield value. Formula I showed the most minimum alteration in rheogram . Of it the has taken that the most stable emulsion was nonionic emulsifier (tween 60 and span 60).Key Words : Facial cleansing lotion, Yoghurt, Emulgator

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine a stable formula and determine the influence of carbopol enhancing in the preparation of lime extract (Citrus aurantifolia S.) transparent liquid shampoo (TLS). Shampoo made from TLS formulation lime extract in three different concentration of carbopol (0.5% : 0.6% : 0.7%). Shampoo were then characterized for stability test before and after accelerated storage include organoleptic test, the foam test, test the pH stability, viscosity measurements, and rheological. The result of organoleptic observation before and after accelerated storage, either formula with concentration of carbopol 0.5%, 0.6%, or 0.7%, did not show a change for the color, smell and consistency. There are no differences in foam test from TLS with shampoo preparations comparison. There are no change of PH test in TLS with concentration of carbopol 0.5%, 0.6%, or 0.7% before and after accelerated storage. There are no change of viscosity test in TLS with concentration of carbopol 0.5%, 0.6%, or 0.7% before and after accelerated storage. Third shampoo formula has plastic flow. Formulation of TLS with concentration of carbopol 0.5% have the most optimal stability than TLS with concentration of carbopol 0.6% and 0.7%.

Abstract

An Investigation on how to know the chemist stability and the expired date on dry suspension formulation of erythromycin ethylsuccinate has been done in variation of suspending agents.Evaluation of Chemical stability has been done by inspection a rate of eritromisin degradation with accelerated stability test by stored sample on temperature above room temperature (250C) that is 30, 40, 50 and 600C during 4 days and decided the remain of the erythromicyn concentration each 1 day (24 hours).The Results is rate of erythromycin degradation in stored by normal temperature (250C) for the formula I, II and III to follow that is 0,00043 day-1; 0,00026 day-1 and 0,00064 day-1.  Th stored time for the formula I, II and III to follow that is 0,7; 1,13; and 0,5 years. The result have been shown that formula II (Gum xanthan as a suspending agent) was the most stable dry suspension chemically.Key Words : Stability , Expired Date,  Dry Suspension , Erythromycin Ethylsuccinate , Suspending Agent

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian formulasi minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) sebagai obat kumur dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh formula sediaan obat kumur yang  memiliki aktivitas antimikroba yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Pada penelitian ini dirancang formula dengan menggunakan tiga variasi konsentrasi minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) yaitu 0,75%, 1,5%, dan 2,25% kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengujian aktivitas antimikroba terhadap bakteri Streptococcus mutans dengan menggunakan metode difusi agar. Hasil analisis statistika dari setiap perbandingan antara formula dengan minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) diperoleh zona hambatan untuk konsentrasi 0,75%, 1,5%, dan 2,25% memberikan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga formula tersebut memiliki aktivitas antimikroba yaitu dapat menghambat bakteri Streptococcus mutans dengan daya hambat terbesar pada konsentrasi 2,25%.Kata kunci :  Minyak biji jintan hitam, obat kumur

Abstract

Ficus elastica leaf is one of the Ficus species assumed to be rich in polyphenols so that it can act as an antioxidant. The research aimed to determine the antioxidant activity and IC50 value of methanol and water extracts of rubber leaf. In this research, the extraction was conducted by maceration using methanol and obtained the yield value of 7,03%, while the infundation using water obtained the yield value of 2,82%. The antioxidant activity test was conducted by DPPH free radical scavenging (1,1-diphenyl-2-phycrilhydrazyl) using a quercetin comparator. The qualitative tests were conducted by TLC method using dicloromethane:methanol eluent with a ratio of 99:1 for methanol extracts, and a ratio of 95:5 for water extracts, where all extracts of both methanol and water positively container antioxidants characterized by the formation of yellow spots with a purple background on TLC plates. The results of the quantitative test shower that the methanol extract had medium antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 78,39 µg/mL, and water extract had an inactive antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 319,11 µg/mL. While quercetin was classified as a very strong antioxidant with an IC50 value of 7,62 µg/mL.

Abstract

As investigation has been done on cinnamomi oil gel formulation as hand clean use carbopol gel bases. The aim of the investigation was to select the most stable formula if cinnamomi oil through stability evaluation which done by organoleptic observation, viscosity and yield value determination. It was made three formula with several different concentration carbopol in this investigation that are 0,3 %, 0,4 % and     0,5 %. Of the  result organoleptic observation there was no alternation before and after stress condition. Result statistic analyse on viscosity data shown that there was an influence of gel formula to viscosity before and after stress condition. At formula I and III shown that there was a  very real influence between of  before and after stress condition, while at formula II shown that there was no real influence. Result statistic analyse on yield value data shown that there was an influence of gel formula to yield value before and after stress condition. At formula I shown that there was a  real influence between of  before and after stress condition, at formula III shown that there was a  very real influence between of  before and after stress condition, while at formula II shown that there was no real influence. The conclution was formula II have the most optimal stability  use concentration of carbopol 0,4 %.Key Words : Oleum Cinnamomi, Hand Clean, Carbopol

Abstract

In this study, three formulas gel with varying polyvinyl alcohol   9%, 9,5%, and 10%. Then do the evaluation of physical stability by organoleptic examination of the test parameters, measurements of viscosity, yield value determination  and pH determination before and after accelarated storage. The results obtained in the second organoleptic examination of the gel formula does not change the color, smeel and consistency before and after accelerated storage. In the viscosity measurements obtained results in the formula A  were not significantly different before and after accelerated storage. Results of statistical analysis of the value of yield showed that the formula A were not significantly different before and accelerated storage. In rheogram formula A have the curves that coincide, formula B and C have seen that the curve is not too close together  before and after accelerated storage. In pH determination, formula A have neutral pH  of 6,9,  formula B and C have pH of 6,8, so it can be concluted that two stocks is stable, but their stability is the most optimal formula A (concentration 9 %). Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan kelompok karangtaruna Pucak Kemuning, Desa Pucak, Maros dalam penerapan diversifikasi produk olahan singkong dalam rangka mewujudkan kemandirian pangan dan ekonomi. Dalam mencapai tujuan ini, digunakan metode pendekatan partisipatif melalui penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, serta pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kelompok mitra dalam menerapkan diversifikasi produk olahan singkong yang menjadi komoditi unggulan Desa Pucak. Untuk mengamati dan mengevaluasi perubahan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan kelompok karangtaruna sebagai mitra, kami menggunakan kuesioner pre-post tes baik sebelum, selama proses maupun sesudah pembinaan melalui edukasi dan pelatihan serta metode diskusi langsung dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan mitra dalam membuat produk olahan Singkong, yaitu Tepung Mocaf berbahan dasar Singkong asal Desa Pucak, Maros. Kami berharap kelompok karangtaruna Bukit Kemuning Desa Pucak, Maros dapat menerapkan pengolahan tersebut secara berkelanjutan, sehingga kemandirian pangan dan ekonomi mereka bisa tercapai.
