Abstract

Integral is a material that is often a difficulty for students in solving problems related to integral to it need a new learning innovation so that students can easily learn the integrals. One way to use the learning media is fun and in accordance with technological developments, namely by using GeoGebra in Mobile Android. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence of the use of GeoGebra Android version of student learning outcomes. The method used in conducting this research is the experimental method. While the population in this study is all the class XI SMA Negeri 4 Unggulan Pagaralam. For the sampling technique is done by random technique. Obtained class XI MIPA3 as experiment class and class XI MIPA1 as control class. The data were collected using a test in essay form. Then the test results analyzed data obtained average experimental class 76.67, standard deviation experimental class 139.62 and average control class 66.25, standard deviation of control class 161.16 and tcount 3.63> ttabel 1.69. So tcount > ttabel, so hypothesis Ho rejected Ha accepted. This proves that there is influence of application of GeoGebra version of Android application to student's mathematics learning result on integral material of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Unggulan Pagaralam academic year 2017/2018.Keywords: GeoGebra, Android, Learning Outcomes, Integral.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the mathematical communication skills of students during the scientific approach was applied using graphmatica software on function graph material in college. This research was an experimental study in the category of one group pretest posttest design involving 30 first semester students of mathematics education study program at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam. The results showed that students’ mathematical communication skills during the applied scientific approach using graphmatica software on function graph material were classified as very good. This means that the use of graphmatica software through the scientific approach can build students’ mathematical communication skills. Through the learning process based on a scientific approach consisting of observing, quetioning, associating, experimenting, and networking, students’ mathematical communication skills both verbally and in writing are classified as very good. For this reason, these activities have a positive influence on students. Beside building students’ mathematical communication this approach also influence students’ learning outcomes. Better the mathematical communication skills, better the learning outcomes. Therefore, building mathematical communication skills is very important in learning especially in learning through a scientific approach using graphmatica software. The use of graphmatica software can be used in other course such as calculus courses. So, graphmatica software can be used in other course so that it is not limited according to the design of the material to be implemented.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the discovery learning model using Baretic Clock teaching aids on students' understanding of the concept of arithmetic sequences and arithmetic series in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Kota Pagar Alam for the 2019/2020 academic year. The research method used in this research is the experimental method in the category of Pre-Test Post-Test Only Control Design. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Pagar Alam. Meanwhile, the samples in this study were students of class XI MIPA 4 and XI MIPA 6, respectively 34 and 33 students. Data collection using documentation and test methods. After the data is collected, the normality and homogeneity test is carried out to find out the data to be analyzed comes from data that is normally distributed and homogeneous. From the results of this analysis, the data were processed based on the conceptual understanding indicator to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model using baretic clock teaching aids on students' conceptual understanding. So the results of the study show that there is an effect of the Discovery Learning model using baretic clock teaching aids on students' conceptual understanding of the arithmetic sequence and series material for class XI SMA Negeri 4 Kota Pagar Alam for the 2019/2020 academic year

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the learning outcomes of students after the use of Power Point Game on the study of Rectangles in class VII of Pagaralam Muhammadiyah Middle School. The design used in this study is a one shoot case study which is an experiment that is implemented without using a companion group. This study was only conducted in class VII 4, which amounted to 31 people. Based on the data analysis, the results of the post test were obtained with a class average value of 82.8. Thus it can be concluded that the use of Power Point learning media games on rectangular material can improve the learning outcomes of Grade VII students at Muhammadiyah Middle School Pagaralam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the trajectory of student learning on ball volume using quaci in Class IX. The research method, using a Validation Study design involving 38 students of class IX SMP Pagaralam PGRI. The stages of design research in learning consist of three phases: preparation for the experiment, design experiment, and retrospective analysis. Learning is carried out through three activities consisting of observing sunflowers, taking sunflower seeds, and wrapping them in accordance with PMRI's approach to ball volume material. The results showed that students could understand the concept of ball volume by completing a series of these activities. In addition, students have their own strategies in solving problems in each activity to express it in abstract form. Conclusion, the use of quaci in learning volumes of ball gives positive results for students in understanding problems related to real life in accordance with the PMRI approach. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of tesselation in translational and reflection material in developing students' mathematical communication based on a scientific approach. The research method uses design research type validation study involving 30 students of class VII SMP 9 Palembang. The research process produces learning trajectory which contains a series of learning processes in two activities, namely scientific on translational material and scientific on reflection material. Every scientific activity consists of observing, asking, reasoning, trying, and forming networks. The results of the study showed that by providing learning material through a scientific approach, the role of tesselations could help students to carry out mathematical communication so that they could identify translational and reflection material. Therefore, students can understand the concepts of translation and reflection and solve problems related to the material. In conclusion, learning using tessellation with a scientific approach effectively helps students understand the concepts of translation and reflection. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of using PowerPoint animation and Prezi usage on student learning outcomes and compare the differences between student learning outcomes using PowerPoint animation and Prezi. The method used is an experimental method with the Pattern Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study was all undergraduate students of Mathematics Education Study Program semester II at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam with a sample of two classes. Data collection techniques used are documentation and tests. Test data were analyzed through normality test calculation, homogeneity test, average one test and two average test with calculation using SPSS for windows. The results showed that there is an influence of using PowerPoint animation with ρ value 0.000 and Prezi ρ value 0.032 with student learning results and there is a difference between student learning outcomes using PowerPoint animation with Prezi with ρ value 0.006. In conclusion, there is a significant influence of the use of PowerPoint and Prezi animations on student learning outcomes and there are noticeable differences between the learning outcomes of students using PowerPoint animation and Prezi. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the student activity during the applied method of guided discovery and student learning outcomes after applied guided discovery method on the material surface area and volumeof sphere in class IX. The method used in this study is the method of quasi-experimental category one short case study, in which the sample taken one class of 37 people conducted in SMP Negeri 3 Pagaralam. Technique of collecting data with observation and test method. To find out student activity used observation sheet, then look for percentage of overall activity. Meanwhile, to find the average value used the average calculation formula (mean). From the data analysis, obtained the average percentage of total student activity during applied guided discovery method is good. Likewise with student learning outcomes after applied guided discovery methods are also categorized well. Thus, guided discovery methods are very well used especially in mathematics learning. Abstract

The iemed of this study was to produce learning trajectories in helping students in learning lines and angles in the context of bamboo fences. The method used in this study was design research type validation studies by testing 6 students before involving 34 studentsof class VII MTs Negeri Jambat balo Pagaralam with by using Hypothetical Learning trajectory (HLT). Then the HLT was developed and a set of activities is applied to obtain a better understanding about how to develop the students understanding of line and angle material through three stages, namely preliminary design, the design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research conducted produced learning trajectory which consisted of a series of learning processes in three activities, namely making bamboo fence, problem solving line material, and problem solving in angle material. The result of the research showed by using the bamboo fence context students understood the concepts in line and angle learning and students can solve problems related to the material lines dan angles in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the student's activity during the implementation of PBL models and 2) student learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL models through the creation of grass park on the material circle in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. This research is an experimental research category one shot case study involving 32 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The results showed that the activity of students during the loading applied to the model PBL through grass park is categorized as very active seen from the activity of visual, verbal, listening, metrics, and writing. While student learning outcomes after the implementation of the PBL model through the creation of grass park are categorized very well as indicated by the average value of students. Thus, the PBL model is very suitable for use in mathematics, especially in the area of a circle of matter.
