Abstract

This research aims to describe: 1) Describe the implementation of ICT-based learning media in thematic learning in elementary schools; 2) Describe the obstacles to implementing ICT-based learning media in thematic learning in elementary schools; 3) Describe solutions in overcoming obstacles in implementing ICT-based learning media in thematic learning in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Validity of data using triagulation of sources and techniques. The data analysis technique carried out consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are: 1) The implementation of ICT-based learning media in thematic learning can be seen in the implementation of ICT media which has not been fully implemented because teachers have not mastered the technology, the use of ICT media when AKM has not run optimally, most teachers still use books as teaching materials using the method lectures and teachers only display material in the form of writings which only make students feel bored; 2) The obstacles experienced by teachers are that teachers cannot master technology well, ICT facilities and media are limited and teachers are less creative in making teaching materials; 3) The solution obtained by teachers is that teachers can take part in training regarding ICT such as attending seminars, workshops, socialization and so on, complete various ICT-based facilities and media that can support learning activities and teachers take additional material from the internet.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Pemanfaatan TIK sebagai sumber belajar dan media pembelajaran dapat dicapai melalui pemanfaatan perangkat komputasi sebagai sumber belajar dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Penggunaan sumber informasi dan media tersebut diharapkan dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, minat, dan perhatian siswa, serta memperlancar proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, penggunaan TIK sebagai media pembelajaran membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif karena dapat mengatasi kendala-kendala berikut dalam proses komunikasi antara guru dan siswa seperti hambatan fisiologis, psikologis, budaya, dan lingkungan. Jenis sumber dan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK lainnya yang dapat digunakan guru sekolah dasar dalam proses pembelajaran antara lain (1) komputer, (2) proyektor LCD, (3) Internet, (4) CD pendidikan, dan (5) Email dan (6) presentasi PowerPoint. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan TIK, antara lain dengan mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan dan seminar terkait TIK, pengembangan sarana dan prasarana pendukung pembelajaran menggunakan TIK, dan studi banding di sekolah. Kata Kunci: Sumber Belajar, Media pembelajaran, TIK, Pemeblajaran tematik, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning media play a crucial role in Primary Schools (SD), enhancing student engagement through visual and interactive presentations. The research methodology employed in this study is literature review. Findings from the literature review indicate that the role of ICT-based learning media in designing learning through various packaging and dissemination of information facilitates teachers with the creation of diverse media. The use of simulation applications and educational games delivers material in an enjoyable and profound manner. Online platforms facilitate independent and collaborative learning, while technology aids in formative assessment and personalization. ICT-based learning media also support the development of ICT skills, open up global access, and enhance administrative efficiency in schools. This article provides a brief overview of the pivotal role of ICT-based learning media in advancing primary school education.
