Abstract

This study investigates the Family Hope Program in Lagundi Village, Kambowa District, North Buton Regency. The primary aim of this research is to assess and elucidate the effects and effectiveness of the Family Hope Program in eradicating poverty in Lagundi Village. Furthermore, it seeks to highlight that whether it's conditional or unconditional, direct cash assistance essentially serves the same purpose, which is centered on poverty alleviation. This paper not only discusses the Family Hope Program's role in poverty reduction but also delves into the concept of conditional cash transfers (CCT), which stands in contrast to Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) or unconditional financial aid. In addition, CCT acts as an entry point for poverty eradication. Every individual registered as a beneficiary must meet specific criteria: PKH is primarily aimed at fulfilling basic needs, such as providing nutrition to enhance physical strength and health through adequate nutrient intake. Besides, it involves meeting health quality criteria by offering facilities like BPJS. The final requirement for PKH is the engagement of village residents in twelve years of compulsory education. The research methodology comprises direct field observations and interviews. The collected data are then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Research findings suggest that the Family Hope Program in Lagundi Village has yielded positive outcomes, including the fulfillment of basic needs, improved health quality, and increased access to education for children. Nevertheless, the program also exhibits negative aspects related to deficiencies in program management.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal congregational activities during the implementation of restrictions on community activities from August to October 2021. There is an impression that the stricter the regulation of activities in places of worship, the stronger the community's desire to perform worship in their worship places, including other social religious activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through an ethnographic approach. Observations were made in several places of worship. Informants were chosen deliberately, namely people who are considered to understand the problem under study. The theory used is Bourdie's power which explains that any social phenomena including religious congregations in carrying out their activities are individual actions. They still hold worship, even though they have been given an appeal in the form of strict regulations. The results of the study show that congregations are already aware of the dangers of Covid-19, but at the same time they cannot be separated from activities in places of worship because it is a habit since childhood and has been passed down from generation to generation. In the context of fighting Covid-19, religious leaders agree more with the term peace with Covid-19. This means continuing to worship in places of worship, but being aware of strict health protocols is the main key for every individual.

Abstract

Community participation in tourism development is mainly related to forms of community participation, community motivation and the impacts of tourism development on local communities that need to be further optimized, with the basic premise that it is an effort to develop tourism by referring to the concept of community-based tourism development. The aim of this research is to describe the characteristics of creative economic tourism development that is based on active community participation so that it can increase Regional Original Income. This research uses a qualitative approach. The sampling technique was snowball sampling technique. The research population is the entire community in the South Konawe Regency area. Meanwhile, the sample taken as the main data source is people who actively carry out participation activities in the creative economy sector. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. Data collected from research results in the field were then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that there is a link between Regional Original Income (PAD) and creative economic tourism, namely the presence of a new economic form that can become a source of the community's economy. If this is developed more professionally, it will become a new source of PAD for the South Konawe Regency government. The development of creative economic tourism based on local community participation has not run optimally, where the development of creative economic tourism still receives very little attention from the local government, especially the role of the government as a facilitator to provide facilities that are needed by creative economic actors, including training for actors to improve quality and productivity, providing production equipment for business actors, and assistance in accessing capital.
